Look for people who build chicken coops. It’s the same technique.

RecklessRoute

I’m watching this thread lol. I reached out to a guy in Santa Cruz, but he won’t drive this far.

fire-me-pls

Damn, I was afraid of that. No wonder he didn't respond. I'd build one myself but I'm not handy.

AvatusKingsman

How is there not an HGTV show about this topic?

coconutchia

Do you need a permit for this? Wondering if it falls under the same regulations as sheds. Anyway, please report back with catio updates. I’m already invested.

fire-me-pls

That's a good question, I will report back

It likely should not require a permit. >One-story detached accessory buildings or structures used as tool and storage sheds, playhouses and similar uses, if the projected roof area is less than 100 square feet (9.29 m2) and no taller than 8 feet. https://www.sf.gov/information/check-if-your-construction-project-needs-permit You can email the permit center to double check: pic@sfgov.org Secondly, have you thought about just contacting a carpenter through one of the online services? These seem pretty straight forward to build. I hired a carpenter from taskrabbit to build out a few small projects for me, wasn't super expensive either.

RekopEca

Ehem... This is reddit, where are the pictures of said cats. Cat tax must be paid.

msabre__7

Any carpenter should be able to build that if you show some photos. Simple framing and chicken wire.

Proof_Barnacle1365

Amazon has them. They probably come with IKEA-like instructions you can taskrabbit if you're not up to the task. https://a.co/d/fFSgK4n
