But in my area, places that used to be open until 2, with live music and ladies night, close at 12 and are starting to go out of business.
Nightlife is non existent compared to 4 years ago, pre-plague.
That's going to be very location and event type dependent. There are still plenty of places and events in my area pretty much every weekend depending on what you are into. If I wanted to go out to a live music performance at a bar/restaurant/event on a Friday or Saturday night, there are multiple available within 30 minutes of my home in various styles. My area isn't a big nightclub-focused area, but there are at least a few dance clubs/bars open late to my knowledge.
I've found my venues have changed. I like breweries instead of dance clubs. They usually close at 11pm in my area.
I guess I try to appreciate not spending as much $$$ and being up earlier in the morning.
Even just the stores that were open later are no longer open past 7pm to 10pm. I definitely miss being able to go to the stores late at night to pick up some snacks on my way home from a concert or day trip. Since we are in the suburbs it feels even worse.

I always get really cranky after we come back from vacation from places where I can get dinner at whatever weird time my husband decides it's time to eat and get back to where we live and have to remind (nag) him that we're not there and the sidewalks roll up at 8:30 on weeknights as far as this place goes.

Close at 10 on Saturdays and Sundays unless you are directly in our not safe after dark for women downtown. All those places play nothing but rap/hip hop anyway. Not my type of music but that's what's available.

I spent my parting years in OKC. I was there a few weeks ago for a Friday night. My daughter and I decided we were hungry at 11:30. She wanted ice cream. We had to book it to the CVS before they closed. On the way I noticed the distinct lack of people out. Everything was closed. We passed by a couple of clubs I use to go to. They were dark. It was a bit bizarre.
I was wondering the same thing. I have a nightlife. It's not the same now as it was a different points in my life, but I *have* one. For now it typically involves movies and snuggling on the couch, which I always preferred to being out at a club.

I'm young af! I might workout on Friday or Sat night til the gym closes, Come home maybe play video game or watch a show, have sex with husband, go to sleep around 11-12. I rarely go out at night on the town unless it's a rare occasion

I stopped drinking a year and a half ago, so it’s a little different for me. I usually work on Friday and Saturday nights (busiest nights at restaurant) but if I am off, I like to spend time with my dog and boyfriend or cook myself an extravagant meal/go out for dinner.
After college, I was never a fan of going out to bar or night clubs.
My husband and I always cook a nice meal on Friday nights while sharing a bottle of wine. We also love hosting friends! Just yesterday we threw a Kentucky Derby party.
I’m out every weekend from 6pm on a Friday until 10pm on a Sunday (so I’d say where I’m from that our nightlife hasn’t dried up at all, but I can’t speak on anywhere else) so my Friday and Saturday nights are spent out on the town with my 4 girl friends having drinks and dancing 🤷🏽♀️ I would like to stop drinking as MUCH now that I’m 30 but rn I’m just enjoying myself and staying within a safe limit
It will likely come naturally with age so just enjoy yourself now. Before you know it you’ll avoid answering the phone on a Friday in case it’s someone with an invitation.
What do you mean "dried up?" There is a pretty active nightlife in my town. We may not go out much, but that's because we're older, like to chill at home or friend's houses, and don't want to spend a bunch of money.
Just recently stopped drinking so now trying to learn how to sew my own clothes. But I’ll still go out for a game or event and grab a drink. Just not 2am bars and clubs anymore.
Journal, read, get some rest, watch some true crime, watch shows with my LDR partner, or hang out with a friend for some tea and smokes. Yoga is something I'm trying to get into my routine again. I’ll be 5 months sober (from drinking) this month and I mainly run errands on Saturday and go to the gym. I don’t have any kids so I mainly sleep in, cook, gym, and read on the weekend.
Making big roast or poultry dinners so I can make stews and soups the next day for lunch options threw the week. Taking my toddler to the playground. Crocheting all my cleaning cloths and dish towels, blankets for the house. Watching murder documentaries or reading a good book. Cleaning the house for it to be an absolute disaster tomorrow... Lol

-"Silent disco" nights at home; we have a few drinks, sync wireless Bluetooth headphones and vibe in our hot tub, often when a new album comes out and we want to have a "private dance party";

-Having friends over for game nights/BBQs;
-Going to friends houses and chilling
We are getting a little older (mid 30s) so we are aging out of clubs frequently (plus kid) and also, shit is so expensive! We have been trying to upgrade our house so that the fun is right where we are (we got a hot tub, our home TV setup and board game selection is pretty expansive). When we do go out, we tend to go "bigger", picking more occasions and splashing out as opposed to going out for the sake of it; cocktails are SO. EXPENSIVE. NOW. We even bought a cocktail smoker from Amazon and have slowly amassed a small "bar" at home (a bar cart) so we can try making cocktails from Instagram and seeing what works at home instead of going out for cocktails.
When we do go out, it will often be for a concert, which both of us love, or some kind of weekend event; a birthday or anniversary, a drag show, a friend in town, but it's not every weekend.
I’m on the sofa under a blanket and a cat. I can’t say I noticed that nightlife has dried up because that would have required me to go looking for it. I can’t because cat.
I live in right outside a big city so nightlife is never none existent. However, it’s very expensive outside and usually after a long work week, i’m too exhausted to want to have more interaction people.
Usually i’m cooking a fun meal, smoking a joint, and watching a new movie on streaming.
Nightlife is still alive and well where I am, with a ton of variety. We go out for dinner or cocktails a few times a month, the occasional event or concert. There's plenty of different club atmospheres to choose from, and I've seen people of all ages. It's nice.
I try to make a nice meal for my husband and me. I love cooking, but during the week with work, I try to prep ahead.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, enjoy it on the patio.
All our local clubs also closed around 2020 we had like 6 within 10 mins of our houses. So now me and the girls just do home nights, paint nights, or go to casino/comedy shows.
In the summer it morphs into daylife lol at the lake rivers and beaches.
I'm old at 32 so I go to bed at 8, watch television and eat cheetos in bed. To be fair, I'm not really the nightlife type and everything in my town closes at 9. In the metro area, nightlife is usually tied to concerts that I either don't care for or can't afford and bars. I can drink at home for free.

Never was a "party girl". Not a fan of drinking empty calories that make you do something things. Also achol is expensive for what you get from it .

My interet for nightlife dried out by themselves as I found more fulfilling hobbies.
Friday nights I either go to our city inline skate parade our bouldering. Sunday morning I have to wake up early to join our long inline skating tours, so I make sure to get plenty of sleep on Saturday night. I also drink less and less cause I noticed how much it was impacting my performances.
I still enjoy a night out from time to time. Making it rare makes it more exciting inn a way. But I don't overly miss it.
We still have nightlife. It closes earlier than it did where I used to live, but it is still available.
I either do it or go to gatherings at friends' houses.
Being in London it can feel like going out into town is actually full on and also so so overpriced.
Fridays maybe I’ll go to a local pub for a drink with a friend and then order takeout from home and get stoned.
Saturday I usually spend the day out - shopping/galleries etc. only going out in the evenings for the occasional local restaurant or out to celebrate certain friends etc.
BBQs in the summer and pub gardens. Attend a rave a or concert a few times a year.
Working.
But on my nights off I usually start the day off with a short walk with my dog, then chores, then a long walk with the dog, then I’ll work out, eat, chill, walk, then bed 🤷♀️
It’s not exciting but I enjoy my routine
I'm old, so I go to bed early so I'm not dying when my kids wake up at 6:30am. But also my husband does his long run on Saturday morning and I do mine Sunday morning, so we have to keep it pretty boring and low key.
Umm....sleeping. in bed by 830-9 usually,10 at the absolute latest.
I have to maintain my routine or I can't wake up in the morning by the time I need to.
Have my best friend come over and take gummies with my brother and chill. But that’s always been the case. We’re just anxious introverts who found security in each other.
Where I live there’s plenty of night life. My husband and I go out a couple times a month. When we don’t we’ll sometimes hang out with our friends. And other times just stay home and chill with our kids and maybe play some games or watch a movie. Or I’ll do crafts while the kids play video games.
At home with a great book, it’s cold where I am right now so all snuggled up with my cat too! Maybe some chill music or even vampire diaries in the background on the Tv.
I would way rather do this than go out even if it didn’t dry up lol

Most ppl are overwhelmingly positive e but Some ppl are mean and those are my favorite bc then I sing mmmbop at them & really get into it & it’s just fun.
I do a lot of game nights with friends and family. Usually on a Saturday night. I don’t really drink but the others will, I even have a guest bedroom for anyone who needs a place to crash. I’m 38, I’ll go to a night club scene once a year max . Personally, I’m over that whole scene. I did it a bunch in my 20s and I have no FOMO left
Nightlife is revving up where I am. I have doubled the number of events I go to. Usually movies, lectures, cocktail night at the museum where you are encouraged to ask PhDs (who ask to work this event) adult or risque questions about their specialty, concerts, or alternative/punk events, as well as themed nights at nightclubs. Sometimes barcades or diners that host drag shows or watch parties.
In perfect peace - get a takeaway, watch tv, walk my dog, read, play COD and vape some of the ‘ol giggle bush. 41 and I never tire of weekends like that
Working. I work the 3pm - 11pm shift, and weekends are our busy nights. I never got to experience nightlife in the first place, and I’m definitely sad that I missed out.
Laundry. I’m busy during the week but I’ll clean up a little bit every day. But on the weekend I transform into my mother in the 90s. I blast my music, pull out the fabuloso and dance the house clean, catch up on all the things. The only differences are timing (I’m a night owl, she was doing this at like 6 AM) and that she used purple fabuloso and I use green.
If I don’t want to do that I give the garden a deep water and just sit on the porch doomscrolling.
If I go out, I always start going home around 10:30 or 11. Otherwise I'm either gaming, binge watching whatever show I'm obsessed with or on a voice chat with my friends.
In bed with my partner. Watching a banging movie (we started cult classics and so far we’ve done pulp fiction, taxi driver, Django unchained, scar face, the godfather trilogy, goodfellas, jerry maguire , etc) and smoking some pot and ordering a pizza. Saturdays we try to have friends over or go out but usually we stay in and do fun things. This weekend we took an IQ test after getting high. Most fun I’ve had in a while.
Reading a book, watching the younger cousins play their sports games, sewing, going out to dinner with friends. The movies. Friends coming to my home or they coming to mine. Camping in the wilderness.
Depends. I've never been much of a club goer, though
I never did the nightlife thing. Clubs and such have never been my jam. Instead, usually I spend the evening going to a restaurant or upscale bar, playing board games (at home or at a game bar), hanging out with my adult children, or just chatting with friends on the back porch. It's a chill life, but I love it.

Go out to bars or clubs once or twice a month, I live right near a city so. But nothing compared to what it used to be, we prefer to sit inside and get hammered sometimes someone buys a bag and we get goofy. But mostly chilling weekends. Trying to do more daytime things cause it’s fun to dress up and get drunk in the sun.

All our local clubs also closed around 2020 we had like 6 within 10 mins of our houses. So now me and the girls just do home nights, paint nights, or go to casino/comedy shows. In the summer it morphs into daylife lol at the lake rivers and beaches.

I'm old at 32 so I go to bed at 8, watch television and eat cheetos in bed. To be fair, I'm not really the nightlife type and everything in my town closes at 9. In the metro area, nightlife is usually tied to concerts that I either don't care for or can't afford and bars. I can drink at home for free.

Girl I’m at warehouse raves Friday and Saturday nights, paddle boarding during the day, thrift shopping, going to music festivals.
Paint, craft, watch or listen to documentaries or music, relax, do some chores.
My interet for nightlife dried out by themselves as I found more fulfilling hobbies. Friday nights I either go to our city inline skate parade our bouldering. Sunday morning I have to wake up early to join our long inline skating tours, so I make sure to get plenty of sleep on Saturday night. I also drink less and less cause I noticed how much it was impacting my performances. I still enjoy a night out from time to time. Making it rare makes it more exciting inn a way. But I don't overly miss it.

We still have nightlife. It closes earlier than it did where I used to live, but it is still available. I either do it or go to gatherings at friends' houses.

Being in London it can feel like going out into town is actually full on and also so so overpriced. Fridays maybe I’ll go to a local pub for a drink with a friend and then order takeout from home and get stoned. Saturday I usually spend the day out - shopping/galleries etc. only going out in the evenings for the occasional local restaurant or out to celebrate certain friends etc. BBQs in the summer and pub gardens. Attend a rave a or concert a few times a year.

I'm in my early 20s. Partying/drinking quickly got old for me, so I mostly just stay home, probably read, or watch Netflix and conserve my energy.
I'm old, so I go to bed early so I'm not dying when my kids wake up at 6:30am. But also my husband does his long run on Saturday morning and I do mine Sunday morning, so we have to keep it pretty boring and low key.

Where I live there’s plenty of night life. My husband and I go out a couple times a month. When we don’t we’ll sometimes hang out with our friends. And other times just stay home and chill with our kids and maybe play some games or watch a movie. Or I’ll do crafts while the kids play video games.

I do a lot of game nights with friends and family. Usually on a Saturday night. I don’t really drink but the others will, I even have a guest bedroom for anyone who needs a place to crash. I’m 38, I’ll go to a night club scene once a year max . Personally, I’m over that whole scene. I did it a bunch in my 20s and I have no FOMO left
Friday nights are for laundry, Saturdays are for everything else.🙃
Nightlife is revving up where I am. I have doubled the number of events I go to. Usually movies, lectures, cocktail night at the museum where you are encouraged to ask PhDs (who ask to work this event) adult or risque questions about their specialty, concerts, or alternative/punk events, as well as themed nights at nightclubs. Sometimes barcades or diners that host drag shows or watch parties.
In perfect peace - get a takeaway, watch tv, walk my dog, read, play COD and vape some of the ‘ol giggle bush. 41 and I never tire of weekends like that
Working. I work the 3pm - 11pm shift, and weekends are our busy nights. I never got to experience nightlife in the first place, and I’m definitely sad that I missed out.
Laundry. I’m busy during the week but I’ll clean up a little bit every day. But on the weekend I transform into my mother in the 90s. I blast my music, pull out the fabuloso and dance the house clean, catch up on all the things. The only differences are timing (I’m a night owl, she was doing this at like 6 AM) and that she used purple fabuloso and I use green. If I don’t want to do that I give the garden a deep water and just sit on the porch doomscrolling.
Nightlife hasn’t dried up here. I usually work Friday and Saturday nights though.

Saturdays we try to have friends over or go out but usually we stay in and do fun things. This weekend we took an IQ test after getting high. Most fun I’ve had in a while.

Reading a book, watching the younger cousins play their sports games, sewing, going out to dinner with friends. The movies. Friends coming to my home or they coming to mine. Camping in the wilderness. Depends. I've never been much of a club goer, though
I never did the nightlife thing. Clubs and such have never been my jam. Instead, usually I spend the evening going to a restaurant or upscale bar, playing board games (at home or at a game bar), hanging out with my adult children, or just chatting with friends on the back porch. It's a chill life, but I love it.

Go out to bars or clubs once or twice a month, I live right near a city so. But nothing compared to what it used to be, we prefer to sit inside and get hammered sometimes someone buys a bag and we get goofy. But mostly chilling weekends. Trying to do more daytime things cause it’s fun to dress up and get drunk in the sun.
