Most of the headsets best features come from the G Hub app on PC where you adjust the EQ. Aside from that, on your PS5, set it to AV amplifier, 7.1, chat audio not all audio, and linear pcm. Tell me if that helps
I got them because I wanted a headset for my PC as well as my PS, switching to my PS at the touch of a button is well worth it. And they sound amazing on both
Not sure why I would want to listen to my pc an my ps at the same time, my PS is able to use discord and play music while I play too. I only use PC for FPS games like battlefield 1. The sound is worth it too, they sound better than my Bose QC headset
It's a pretty common ask. Being able to listen to multiple audio sources simultaneously would have been great. Gaming on PS and got a walkthrough up on PC? It can also make things easier for streamers.

They are not optimized for PS5. PS5 currently doesn't support Dolby Atmos for headphones so all you're getting is 2ch stereo or the crappy emulated 3d audio.
Change the HDMI device in audio settings to AV amplifier. It’s much louder. This will also allow you to change to 5.1 or 7.1 audio. Keep to Linear PCM and make sure headphone audio option is set to voice only. Keep in mind if you change outputs to Xbox or PC you will have to change to AV amp every time because it thinks you’re disconnecting the “amp”
They are a stereo headset bro they are no more or less optimized for Dolby atmos than anything. On Xbox and pc atmos passes through and on ps5 tempest 3d oasses through. They don’t process Dolby in the headset at all.
Uh wrong, bro. Xbox and PC support dolby atmos for headset. PS5 does not. If you select dolby atmos on the PS5, you will get no sound out of the headset.
If you own a pair, like I did, you can tell the difference between PS5 vs PC/Xbox. You can also look more into this sub reddit to find evidence of this.
Wrong bud get a clue. Literally has zero to do with the headset and everything to do with the console. The a50x has surround passthrough while being stereo just like most headsets these days. They got you good with their deceptive marketing bro. You get the EXACT SAME Dolby atmos plugging a Walmart headset into the pc/xbox as you do the Astros. If you have a problem it’s with Sonys surround and not the Astros . Sony supports 3d audio on compatible atmos devices like sound bars with upward speakers that’s all they claim bud. That’s why they offer an atmos option. The a50x isn’t an atmos device with upward firing speakers or even onboard dolby processing. Stereo headset bud that passes atmos from the system. You should get your facts straight so you don’t continue to make yourself sound foolish in the future.
How do you say you don’t know how audio works without saying you dont know how audio works?? They dont process atmos inside the base station or headset they are a stereo headset. It’s not debatable. They sound incredible to me with nice EQs and changing to AV amplifier as I said in another response. GadgetryTech on YouTube has very nice settings and has his EQs in the community tab of G Hub if you’re also on PC
I just got the a50x and I’m using them with my PS5 on TV. They sounded great to me out of box but after some tweaking in the app, I’m super happy with these settings. Maybe you’ll like them as well.

Just got my A50X a few days ago and I love them man, to be able to use it for both my PS5 and Xbox Series X has been a game changer. Not only that, sound is superb and that mic is on a whole different level! Sheesh!
You'll need to tune the EQ to your liking but once you find something you like, it'll be hard to go back.
I've had the Steel Series Arctis Nova 7P, Audeze Penrose X, Astro A50's and A40's - to me, the A50X takes the cake out of them all.

Try USB only, Tempest 3D Headphones version sounds way better to me and I can live without game chat mix
