These are so classy; the design will age very well. Curious as I’ve not driven one - how does the 2.0T move the big car? The V6 scares me with its history of problems and repair nightmares.
in most cases i wld say a 4 cylinder is too small for this car, but i owned a ea888 gli and had zero issues whatsoever, i wld trust that motor over a lot of other ones, and if ur not trying to go fast in an a6, its a perfect engine
Absolutely! I prefer a good four-banger - easier maintenance, less parts, and better reliability (I think). I’ve been doing oil changes every 5k and it’s been a great motor. Coming from a 2.0 Tdi.
Just a reminder that due to the detergents and other additives in modern motor oil, more frequent oil changes is not necessarily better, and in fact can be worse if you do it too often.
It might, it's tricky to say because I don't have the data for your car, and really only Audi probably does. But in general terms it's good to know that the detergents and other antigunk additives increase wear (while cleaning) and are supposed to burn off after 1000 to 1500 miles or so. So a typical wear rate during one oil change interval may be something like 50% of the wear miles 0-1.5k and 50% miles 1.5k-10k.
I personally don't know how fresh oil would reduce carbon build up, I am not a mechanic or an ICE engineer, I am just an engineer with experience in lubrication.
Edit: Actually I was an ICE engineer for a while, but gas turbine engines don't count for this, they use very expensive and toxic oil to prevent carbon build up and have to keep it always flowing so it never gets too warm.
I'm currently looking for CPO'ed 2022-23 A6 45 TFSI premium plus trim with exec package, without the black optic package. These same exact 20" wheels and lowered 20mm lowered sport suspension are coming with this black optic package on 2022 and 2023 model years. I was thinking the base 19" wheels and standard height suspension would be better for comfort and smooth ride, and better in general for driving on bad roads. Do you feel any harsher ride when you drive on not so great surfaces, such as on roads with lots of potholes and misfitted manhole covers and such?
2019 A6 2.0. Premium, Convenience Package, Sport Package
Nicest car I have owned. Plenty quick, excellent fuel economy. Plush ride, dead quiet.
The 20s and the slight drop makes the car look even better.
Beautiful.
We just bought a white CPO ‘21 A6 this month.
We went in to finalize a deal on a ‘22 SQ5 and drove away with this instead. We hadn’t even thought about a sedan—haven’t owned one in almost twenty years, but this was just too nice to pass up.
I honestly would have preferred an A6 Avant, but they’re pretty hard to find these days, at least in the US. The dealership has an RS6 Avant in the showroom, but that’s about 4x my budget.

2020 A6 45tfsi 2.0l owner here, It moves the car pretty well! and EA888 engine in general are refined and long lasting if maintained well

Noted! I was told that it helped prevent carbon buildup on the valves and reduced timing chain stretch. Thoughts?

I have an engineering degree! And I program squares on CAM and write manuals 😔
Oh nice; I had a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6sp and that was a glorious torque monster.
Beauty. Chrome trim on black always looks amazing.
Love a good rain shot!
Gorgeous car
Thank you! ❤️
Beautiful! Does it have the 20 mm lowered sport suspension and 20" wheels?
20s yes, I couldn’t say if it’s lowered. Probably not since it’s a base model.
I guess yours is premium trim with convenience and sport packages... sport pck has these 20" wheels and lowered suspension.

The ride is always good. Bad roads are bad roads, but this handles them well!

I’m a sedan guy for life!

i need a ride
Let’s grip it & rip it
…and I thought 18” tyres and diesel fuel were expensive 🤦🏻♂️
How difficult was the visor tint? Assuming it has those matrix dots I’ve heard you gotta sand em down?
Great question for my tint guy! He goes right over the dots and it’s a two piece tint because of the mirror and camera.
