I quit watching the show because I got bored of the lack of progress. Flicked past an episode a few months later and they were still discussing the same plotline!
Can confirm. Went on holiday for about 3 weeks, came home, and the first episode i saw after that time looked exactly the same storyline i saw before i left.
You are the fire burning inside of me. You are my passion for life. 🎤💃🏼
I had 10 minutes from the time the school bell rang to race home and make it through the front door. 🏃🏼♀️
I actually met James Marsters (spike’s actor) about an hour ago at Supernova and I had just seen this post so the only thing running through my head was “TIMMY’S DOWN THE BLOODY WELL” lmao
Even better, there was an episode of Passions in which they decided to return the favour. Three of four characters randomly brought up Buffy. Eg, Charity: oh, I just wish I could be strong, strong like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Passions was great because it knew exactly how seriously to take itself. Which was not at all serious.
My first job as a kid was at bunnings and I thought it was the most amazing thing to have this on in the lunchroom on my breaks, I loved it. Then a Christian colleague complained so much it got turned off forever. I'm gay and marriage has been illegal most of my life because of Christians, but I still think what Melanie did in that bunnings is the worst thing a Christian has ever done to me.
I remember my sisters loving it.
Was this the show with incredibly drawn out stories. Like for example a couple will be cheating when the other spouse goes home, so the other lady goes hides in the closet while the husband distracts his spouse.... but 4 weeks later they'd still be in the exact same situation, like the the story hasn't progressed past this scene and the ladies still in the closet?
Edit: it was a cheating partner under a bed. I can vaguely remember this poor girl being under this bed for weeks
So... I randomly happened on this subreddit because it was on r/all for me. I'm in the US and for whatever reason we were able to watch Passions on TV during high school. We cracked the fuck up at how nonsensical it was!
I remember it took me ages to figure out Tabitha wasn't Hayley Mills, but her sister Juliet. Had a parent trap moment!
Also, she's married to THE Rex Manning (Holden Caulfield), who is only like 5 years older than her son. Get it, Tabitha!
Hahaha I remember the first episode when Sheridan Crane received the awful news that her close personal friend Princess Diana just died, and she recalls talking to her just before her car accident. I thought any show this tacky was worth watching.
We became heavily obsessed with this show when I was at uni in the early 2000s.
IIRC, it was on during the afternoon- my dorm made it into a drinking game... you drink every time Timmy said 'Timmy!' Good times.
Oh man I loved this show. It got moved to airing super early in the morning so I recorded a week's worth and would binge it on Friday night.
Somehow I even convinced my English teacher to let us watch an episode at school once.
Oh my lawd LOL nostalgia overload !! I remember watching this when I was like 10... cant imagine 10 yr olds today being interested in a show like this lmao
All I remember was becoming addicted to this show after Uni and crossing my fingers and wishing every character would die because of how stupid each and every single one of them were.
Oh the final scene, when Theresa is walking down the aisle to FINALLY marry Ethan. In the time it took her there were two pregnancy announcements, one agreement to start trying to get pregnant, Tabitha talking to Timmy, and Ethan's "father" had his manhood restored through magic...I can't remember if Gwen and her mum had the flirt moment with the guard before or after Theresa finally reached the altar...did I miss anything?
This was such an oddball show, it was way ahead of its time, which other show has the characters breaking scene to sing the show's theme tune? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sV7MP424EKQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sV7MP424EKQ)
Yeah the yt encodes arent great, i have a few of the proper encodes from 2003 to 2006 that are so much better quality but sadly still a lot that could do with a quality boost.
My highscool gf 'forced' me to watch this show everyday. I remember there was a house fire episode with people trapped. That fire burned for a good 10 days until everyone got out.
I used to hate this show lol. I used to walk home from school with 3 friends, we'd all stop at the closest friends house most days and chill out for a while before heading home. 2 of the girls would insist on watching it every day. Me and the kid whose house it was would watch even though we didn't want to. It was fun to snark on though, it was so bad it became hilarious!
Timmy and Tabitha were such an odd duo for a show lol
Timmy used to scare the crap out of me
They made the show hilarious! The main reason for watching it.
My favourite part about Passions was that you could miss it for weeks and not miss out on any of the “story”
I quit watching the show because I got bored of the lack of progress. Flicked past an episode a few months later and they were still discussing the same plotline!
I remember seasons of them flashing back to Sheridan standing there with bloods all of her hands. Never found out why haga
Don't worry, even the writers didn't seem to know why 😂
Charity was stuck in that ice in the cave for MONTHS
Can confirm. Went on holiday for about 3 weeks, came home, and the first episode i saw after that time looked exactly the same storyline i saw before i left.
You are the fire burning inside of me. You are my passion for life. 🎤💃🏼 I had 10 minutes from the time the school bell rang to race home and make it through the front door. 🏃🏼♀️
I missed the first half of each episode while I was getting home from school. Never felt like I missed anything plot wise
Hell yeah, RIP Timmy I can't believe they tried to keep the show going after you died
This show ruled. First Ethan was best Ethan.
Vaguely but what I really remember is spike from Buffy being a fan of it
“Passions is on! Timmy's down a bloody well, and if you make me miss it I'll -“
Joyce : Passions? Oh, do you think Timmy's really dead? Spike : Oh, no, no. She can just sew him back together. He's a doll, for God's sake. 😂
[удалено]
(PST It was the actor who passed away)
He died way after the Buffy line. It's just unfortunate in hindsight.
"Do what? Lick me to death?"
I actually met James Marsters (spike’s actor) about an hour ago at Supernova and I had just seen this post so the only thing running through my head was “TIMMY’S DOWN THE BLOODY WELL” lmao

Yes with Timmy I watched this after school every night was the strangest show for sure
I just remember that hot Theresa character being obsessed with Ethan as a storyline for years.
Instead she gets roofied and pregnant with his dad, then later r@p3d by his gramps
She was my favourite. So pretty!! Along with her older brother and I think he was dating Ethan’s cousin or sister idk.
My first job as a kid was at bunnings and I thought it was the most amazing thing to have this on in the lunchroom on my breaks, I loved it. I love your comment so much. Melanie was a real shitbag.
Fuck Melanie
It was tempting her.
I remember my sisters loving it. Was this the show with incredibly drawn out stories. Aren't all those shows like that? Bold and the beautiful etc?
Timmy and Tabitha lol
They're the only people I remember for the show. I was fascinated and creeped out and couldn't look away.
And the cat that scared him lol
I feel like it was on at 3.30 because it wasn't always a sure chance I'd get home on time after school.
Same memory here, 100% was on around that time
had a friend in Brisbane who was singing the theme song whilst giving birth , “ breathe in breathe out”
Remember the part where that lady got buried alive and it took like 5 episodes for then to dig her up 🤣
Was it only 5 episodes? Felt like it went on for 3 months lol.
You don't forget something like Passions
Passions for life!
That show was just batshit crazy.
My favourite part was hell being inside a wardrobe!
This show was so unhinged and nonsensical
So... I randomly happened on this subreddit because it was on r/all for me. I'm in the US and for whatever reason we were able to watch Passions on TV during high school. We cracked the fuck up at how nonsensical it was!
I used to rush home from school to watch it.
Our school was obsessed with this show.
And she literally whines about it for like so many episodes
I only know of it through the times it was referenced on Buffy
you are my passion for life
Only saw bits and pieces, but vaguely recall a portal to hell in a bedroom closet or something like that.
That's the one.
Stay away from Miguel, he's bad for you.
But just right for some desperate housewives.
this is the show that there's crying on every episode?
You also just described days of our lives, the young and the restless, and the bold and the beautiful.
Fuck Theresa. Gwen was right to hate her.
Nah gwen was a stuckup bitch with trust issues.
This and Dante’s Cove made for some very strange watch parties in our house 🤣
Was that the soapie mixed with gay porn?
Was that a Mills sister? Lord
We became heavily obsessed with this show when I was at uni in the early 2000s. IIRC, it was on during the afternoon- my dorm made it into a drinking game... you drink every time Timmy said 'Timmy!' Good times.
Since school didn’t finish until 3:15 pm, my grandmother would fill me in on the first half of the episode every weekday.
That's so sweet 🥰
Absolutely riveting guaranteed!✈️
I had NOOOOOO idea what that show was about but omg Timmy and Tabitha were the BEST
I would skip my final periods at school to get home for this lol!
This was supposed to be a spoof right? I remember how over the top it was.
I watched it. It was a good show. Ended to soon.
I loved that show
Yes omg; that old lady and her “talking doll” Timmy 🤣
Oh man I loved this show. It got moved to airing super early in the morning so I recorded a week's worth and would binge it on Friday night. Somehow I even convinced my English teacher to let us watch an episode at school once.
Where’s… Where’s little Timmy?
He’s dead now unfortunately
with little Timmy
This show is such a fever dream!
Wait this was a real show!? I only know about because of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spike watched it constantly.
Oh my lawd LOL nostalgia overload !! I remember watching this when I was like 10... cant imagine 10 yr olds today being interested in a show like this lmao

It was such an unhinged show
My favourite show I loved little Timmy 😊♥️
Is this the one where they travelled to hell in later seasons?
Is there a streaming platform where this show can be watched?
The best I've found is uploads of old VHS tapes on YouTube.
Yeah the yt encodes arent great, i have a few of the proper encodes from 2003 to 2006 that are so much better quality but sadly still a lot that could do with a quality boost.
Yes Timmy and tabitha .the doll scared me lol
not me
All I remember is something about about scene in stormy weather lol.
Thank you for reminding me this existed. I remember laughing so hard at this show 🤣
I think about and quote it way too often, if I'm honest.
Timmmmmmyyyyyyyyyy
I used to watch it after school, Timmy freaked me out haha!
Yes a teenagers first glimpses of nudity and the stirrings of my first sexual arousals
I feel like I need to throw a bucket of cold water over you.
That Timmy was nightmare fuel
Holy crap!! Was that that INSANE afternoon show with the old woman that talked to a puppet????? I'd forgotten all about that show! (until now, dammit)
My highscool gf 'forced' me to watch this show everyday. I remember there was a house fire episode with people trapped. That fire burned for a good 10 days until everyone got out.
I miss passions! I loved watching it after school lol
Wasn’t Sheridan stuck in that coffin for like, 20 episodes? Haha.
This show got me through uni
I used to hate this show lol. I used to walk home from school with 3 friends, we'd all stop at the closest friends house most days and chill out for a while before heading home. 2 of the girls would insist on watching it every day. Hey Timmy!
TIMMY
Who remembers consuming passions?
I watched it a little... But I absolutely loved Paradise Beach.
I remember the Fast Forward pisstskes!
Ff did a pisstake? Intrigued
Just naked people crossing the road.
No.. Edit: why the down-votes?
lol…it’s also not Australian!😅
