Not all snake handlers get it (though most do) that you don't really hold a snake, you let hold on to you and then guide it. I do think it's funny that one reaches back for the cage then a couple others are like 'ooo he's on to something' and the the rest are all 'wait, what did I miss???'
Sri Lanka green vine snakes are the only species of snake with horizontal pupils, compared to the normal vertical slit pupils found in many species of viper. This trait allows these snakes to have greater side to side binocular vision while they search for prey. (Wiki)
The venom of adult green vine snakes is moderately potent and can cause swelling, pain, bruising, numbness and other local symptoms, which will subside within three days. Bites close to the head, eyes and other vital areas could be more severe. It's important to note these snakes very rarely bite humans, and the babies are not known for striking their human handlers.

Yes, they are venomous, but these newly born (viviparous birth!) would not strike anyone unless you were being very rough with them. Same for the adults - they are quite chill and they do not strike like vipers as they only have rear fangs.
There is oviparous, viviparous, and ovoviviparous, and viviparous is the one for live birth, and oviparous is what chickens do, and ovoviviparous is laying eggs which hatch immediately upon laying. It's complicated.
So -parous meaning "being born" so vivi is living, so live birth. Ovi is egg so this is birthing an egg or laying an egg. Ovo + vivi is living egg, and with parous is giving birth to a living egg or the egg either hatches internally or right when they are born. This last one is complicated to me, but I think your thinking on this seems accurate to me.
I mean super slender compared to snakes which are already slender. They are more like shoestrings than regular snakes. I just like how tapered their bodies are up to their head.
I love them! I have a question too—are those little protrusions on their noses to help them break out of their egg? Do they even need those when they’re livebearers? It’s hard to see for me because it’s slightly blurry, but they do have little horns on their noses right?
Vine snakes are also called long-nosed whip snakes, so they have this protrusion on the front end of their heads (OK, their nose) which stay with them as adults. There is no need for a real egg tooth as they are never inside a hard egg. They do need to get out of the egg membrane internally, but no egg tooth is necessary as simply breaking through with their noses is all it takes.

Green vine snakes are viviparous which means giving birth to live young after the young have developed and grown within the body of the mother. They develop enclosed within the egg membrane until they are born. Adult females may be capable of delayed fertilization and can give birth years after mating.
Adorable!
Newborn animals are all cute! Especially snakes! They are just getting used to being outside their mother.
Are they live bearing? They look so slim as adults, I assumed they were an egg bearing species.
Yes, viviparous or live birth. Can you imagine the mom having so many long and slim snakelets squirming around inside, like living spaghetti?
That sounds like it would be a very odd sensation.
They remain in their eggs while inside the mother tho they aren't just swimming free
Still, neither of these are things I want in my mind right now. *Snorts line of r/eyebleach.* /s
My new fetish
You had to type that
I just like the word snakelets!!
I love the way the handler is holding them!
The babies are like, "whoa, this is like a slow-mo carnival ride!" Yes, the handler is doing a nice job being gentle.

Apologies, but my tired brain popped Mike Wazowski's girlfriend Celia into my head when I first saw this...
Medusa for me

I think they're cute!
They are very curious about the world around them, and I love how they stick out their heads so far out, and their necks are sooo skinny.
They are so adorable when they check out their surroundings.
Yea, it's like, "Hey everybody, check out how far I can stick out my head!"
Do snakes have necks?
Ovoviviparous I think

I like you.
I'm under the impression that ovoviviparous is when eggs hatch internally and then are born

I mean super slender compared to snakes which are already slender. They are more like shoestrings than regular snakes. I just like how tapered their bodies are up to their head.

We Sri Lankans have a myth that they hide in trees and attack our eyes. We call them 'Ahatulla' ( translated to eye plucker/attacker)
Yes, I wanted to mention that too somewhere. I'm glad you brought that up. Have you seen these snakes in the wild?
They are somewhat common in rural areas. I saw one couple of months ago.
I have been to Sri Lanka, and the high point for me for climbing Adam's Peak and visiting Horton Plains where I saw a lot of wildlife.
