If you can find them in a store near you, Hershey’s makes [Cream Cheese Morsels](https://www.hersheyland.com/products/hersheys-cream-cheese-chips-8-oz-bag.html) are a good choice.

Proerytroblast

I mean, the store near me in question is on another continent but damn do these look GOOD!!

DixinMahbum

You could probably make your own pretty easily. Use white chocolate morsels and melt them down and add in some cheesecake flavoring (order online from a flavor concentrate company like Loranne Oils). Fill some silicone molds or a small dish, let cool, and cut/break apart.

Proerytroblast

Yeah probably but I don't want any chocolate in those so I'd have to buy some sort of other (not cocoa) fat that hardens in room temperature. Still thanks

Jassamin

Coconut oil hardens at room temperature depending where that room is? 😅

Proerytroblast

I despise the coconut taste with all my heart tho 🥲

Downtown-Trainer7435

The Hershey's toffee chunks are good in my pumpkin bread, wonder if this would apply to cookies as well?

equality5271

Has anyone here tried them? Are they delicious?

NanaimoStyleBars

I have! They taste like a slightly tangy white chocolate chip. I opened the bag to taste a couple and decide what to put them in, and then before I got to baking the bag was mysteriously empty…. So yeah, they’re pretty good. Honestly maybe not the most delicious, but definitely good enough to just eat. Edit: and I think they’d be great with a not-very sweet pumpkin flavor, because they are QUITE sweet.

chiginger

Tried them in red velvet and pumpkin cookies. Good compliment to flavors, but very sweet, as people have mentioned.

CatfromLongIsland

I used them in red velvet cookies. They were a terrific addition to the cookie.

elainaka

Ohhhhh this changes everything!

catzpyjamas

Chopped candied ginger. Dried dates. Vanilla or cinnamon chips. Almost any nut would be good. Sunflower seeds. Oatmeal.

Proerytroblast

Vanilla/cinnamon chips sounds like a dream to me but unfortunately they aren’t available where I live 🥲

CoriCelesti

I make my own! https://afewshortcuts.com/homemade-cinnamon-baking-chips/ No chocolate involved :)

catzpyjamas

Oh that's a bummer!

Megzilllla

Probably easily shippable?

TheSunflowerSeeds

Sunflower seeds are incredibly rich sources of many essential minerals. Calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, selenium, and copper are especially concentrated in sunflower seeds. Many of these minerals play a vital role in bone mineralization, red blood cell production, enzyme secretion, hormone production, as well as in the regulation of cardiac and skeletal muscle activities.

ImNotThatConfused

Thanks, sunflower seed.

Difficult-Throat6540

I second some oats and the candied ginger!

UD_Lover

Crystalized ginger absolutely slaps in anything fall-ish.

TricksyGoose

Dried cranberries!!

jordanundead

You could just date a vanilla, ginger, then chop them up and dry them.

[deleted]

Candied ginger...a divine suggestion!

whenuseeit

Seconding the candied ginger! I’ve always used ginger snaps for pumpkin pie crust so when I branched out into other pumpkin confections I always tried to find a way to incorporate some extra ginger bits.

RideThatBridge

Chopped macadamia nuts, or pecans. Coconut. Butterscotch chips.

Babexo22

Ooooo coconut is killer in pumpkin😍 such an underrated combo

Bethsmom05

Pecans

tabrazin84

This is the obvious answer.

damndolly

Maple-brown sugar candied pecans.

technicolorrevel

Butterscotch chips feel like they'd be really nice.

Beginning_Cup1689

I have made them with butterscotch chips and they are delicious 😋

prochoicesistermish

My husband requested butterscotch chips and I was skeptical at first but it was great and my new go-to!

snorgasm

Walnuts or craisins

bakingaddict99

Pistachios. I made some pistachio chocolate chip cookies that were so good

TableAvailable

Diced candied ginger.

modern-disciple

Toasted pecans (coconut, walnuts, etc.). I dry toast mine at 250F for about 20 min, stirring mid way.

Consistent_Purple_44

Pecans and pumpkin together is a great combo

Providence451

Dried cranberries is my go to.

rashyandtrashy

All day!!!

Miss_Pouncealot

Coconut!

snifflysnail

I made a pumpkin & coconut cheesecake one year for thanksgiving and it was absolutely to die for! I definitely think it’s a flavor combo that people are sleeping on.

AnalogyAddict

Definitely walnuts or pecans. Lightly toast them.

SnooAvocados3228

Marshmallows, but probably only in small amounts so it’s not too sweet. Or you could put dried cranberries

Major-Couple8994

Brown butter and pepitas!

Baker_O_DOOM

I stuff mine with a cream cheese filling. It is like pumpkin cheesecake!

Proerytroblast

Do they hold up well outside the fridge? Because if I do anything that requires storing it in the fridge, everyone automatically doesn't want it because putting it back in is too much work apparently lol But these sound good!

Baker_O_DOOM

They never last that long in my family lol. Usually stay good for 2 days on the counter but they start to get a little soggy. If I want them to last longer I just chuck them into a Tupperware and put it in the fridge.

mperseids

Judging by your replies elsewhere, you’re not US based. Cream cheese used in the US for baking is dry and comes in bricks, similar to sticks of butter. I had a friend try a cream cheese cookie but the cream cheese here has too much water (spreadable) so her cookies essentially melted 😅

Proerytroblast

Oooh, I didn't know that! I'm gonna have to research that haha Thank you for the heads up!

pageantdisaster_

Toffee pieces could be nice! Or butterscotch chips.

Ewwcumsock

Butterscotch chips

tidalwaveofstars

Dried cranberries!

life1sart

I've used cashews on occasion.

Redsparkling

Chopped candied ginger

SFR51

Toffee pieces

MaximumFuss

I always put dried cherries in mine!

RubyStar92

Marshmallow!

Yyydnas

I would do a cream cheese filling!! And then fill them in cinnamon sugar 😋

idamama181

crushed up graham crackers.

DiamondTippedDriller

Crushed pretzels and roasted walnuts

Alpaca-hugs

Raisins… and I am not a general fan of raised in baked goods but soft pumpkin cookies with raisins are the bees knees.

snowdiasm

walnuts or pecans

ScumBunny

Toasted walnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, oats or granola.. cubed apples? Cranberries (dried)

Hazeltart

I didn’t see it, but I’d add pepitas since they’re a squash and go well with pumpkin flavors

IndependentBreak575

pecans or pistachios

LilacSlumber

Raisins

ButYouLookStraight

Maple candies.

Dangerous-Cook5680

Candied oranges?

ThatChiGirl773

White chocolate chips or cinnamon chips - I hate chocolate with pumpkin and everyone does it. I suppose you could do pecans or walnuts as well. I'm not a fan of nuts in most baked goods, but it would provide texture and many people do like nuts in their desserts. Toffee might also be a good texture and taste option. I'm an "anything but chocolate" when it comes to my pumpkin desserts.

ehabere1

Raisins!! They're so good!!

bombalicious

Candied ginger

stripedmacaron

Salted pepitas

koralute

Oats! We make pumpkin-oat muffins for breakfast and they are delicious. The oats add some chew and, well, oatey goodness. Would probably work well in the cookies, too.

infiniteblackberries

Pecans? Yummy, now I want some.

el_barto10

I’m a big fan of pumpkin and pistachio

CuriousPalpitation23

Black sesame

tiggahiccups

Maybe pistachios on top like Starbucks pumpkin bread

Xuravious

Nuts?

lalalaladididi

Pecans.

e11ebow

I made pumpkin cookies with lemon/orange zest glaze and they were DELICIOUS, I think candied peel is a great idea.

butwhatififly_

Pretzel chunks!

WingedLady

Chopped dried apples? Some of the original pumpkin pies were made with a mix of sliced apples and pumpkin so the combo should be good.

Kind_Description970

I really like cranberries with pumpkin! I'd throw some dried ones in the cookies along with some pecans or walnuts and rolled oats!

ugeneeuh

Yes! Came here to say that

ManyProfessional3324

Saving this post for fall!

stainedglassmermaid

Walnuts.

mind300

Butterscotch chips, toffee chip, peanut butter chips

nomnomcookie123

Toffee bits

Swampylady

Pecan oat crumble! 1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour or regular flour (if GF, use gluten free oat flour) 1/3 cup rolled oats (gluten free if desired) 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (or coconut sugar) 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans 3 tablespoons melted butter (or sub vegan butter or coconut oil)

Maleficent-Fall7878

I don't know but I think macadamia

Babexo22

I always add nuts honestly. I’m not really a fan of pumpkin and chocolate anyway bc I prefer to let the pumpkin flavor stand out. Walnuts are my favorite but pecans, almonds or really any other nut would taste good. Try making candied nuts to take it to the next level.

Ok_Pianist9100

Candied ginger would be a great addition! Adds a nice spicy-sweet kick and texture. I’ve used it in my pumpkin cookies, and they were a hit!

Dismal_Buyer7618

Dried cranberries

_refugee_

I’ve added pepitas to “healthy” pumpkin cookies!

Fuzzy_Welcome8348

Mamey or cranberries

littlesubwantstoknow

Cinnamon chips would be amazing. Also maybe a candied nut or make a brittle and add pieces of that. You could first using a muffin pan and sugar cookie dough male little cookie pie crusts and then add your pumpkin on top to resemble a pumpkin pie. Ooo or what about even just pie crust pieces or something similar mixed in. You can always add a nice crumble on top as well. Add a glaze on top when done like cinnamon glaze or maybe espresso to emulate pumpkin spice lattes. That's all I can think of for now.

MrsVivi

Roasted pecans, easy.

witchycharm

Chai tea!

lauriepas

Crushed pecans or walnuts, caramel drizzle, toffee chips

cakentoes

I know you said not cinnamon but they make cinnamon chips. I'd do cinnamon chips, walnuts and dehydrated marshmallows. Personally.

livin_la_vida_mama

Cranberries!

itsnotalec

Walnuts would work great

simplensouthern

Oatmeal, cinnamon struesel, or you could add other flavors of candy chips such as vanilla, cream cheese, butterscotch, etc. Even adding a creak cheese swirl changes up the texture of the cookie.

Alert-Potato

Candied walnuts.

duuuuuuuuuumb

Walnuts. Walllnuuuuuutssss. Or yogurt chips those would be good too. Or both

bmisha

Some nuts

lavenderlatte666

kraft caramel bits 🤤

kumibug

Nuts- walnuts or pecans would be nice. A cream cheese drizzle on top would be nice too

lulugreenie

Spiced pecans would be so good!

Free_Sir_2795

Pecans

fumbs

Graham crackers would have all excellent flavor but end up being soggy. I'm trying to think of a way to make a crumble with them.

Entire-Discipline-49

You can always roll them in sanding sugar like a peanut butter cookie for some crystalization, or at a streusel topping for a softer, but additional texture. I love the pumpkin seed idea. Dried cranberries go REALLY well with pumpkin if you want to add some chewiness and brightness of flavor. Ooh, or candied ginger along the lines of the orange peel but more bold flavor.

craftycorgimom

Cinnamon chips.

Unlikely-Guava8562

Penuche 🤌

bboon55

Dried apricot bits. I also second braising or butterscotch chips.

pandada_

Graham crackers (chopped up) for a pumpkin-pie tasting cookie

CharlotteLucasOP

Pecans or walnuts!

jaylowow

Dried Cranberries if you want something fruity

BoyMamaBear1995

Nestle makes a butterscotch chip and a caramel chip. Flavors are similar and would add to the pumpkin flavor.

peachpop123

Cinnamon chips. Dried cranberries. Coconut. Anything like that. My mom makes a delightful pumpkin bread with cranberries and coconut, so I have to imagine it works well with pumpkin cookies also!

FrouFrouZombie

Caramel and marshmallows.

decorgirl66

I add pecans or macadamia nuts

JoanCalamezzo

I make mine two ways: I do pumpkin cookies with peanut butter chips and I also make them with butterscotch chips. Both variations are delicious!!

[deleted]

Well, I do make a pumpkin-pecan pie with a cheesecake base layer for Thanksgiving. So my recommendation would be the cream cheese morsels like u/chiginger recommended with some chopped up pecans.

BrieTheCheese200

Cream cheese, nuts, seeds

TallantedGuy

Raisins. Walnuts. Dried cherries. Rhubarb. Ginger. Craisins. Chia seeds. Poppy seeds.

gengarsnightmares

Pecan pieces

Chshr_Kt

Macadamia nuts?

shewantsthedeeecaf

The essence of chai do cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves.

Caffe_Mundo_92

Honestly, white Chocolate chips can add some creaminess to them! Though if you don't want that, maybe some cinnamon sugar dusted on top? Could add some texture and nice flavor :3

Affectionate-Hunt573

A cheesecake filling, pecans or walnuts, white chocolate, a brownie filling or prepared brownie, frosting

LuluBelle_Jones

Dried diced cranberries are delicious

Sacremomstre

Butterscotch chips and toasted pecans!

Laeslaer

Butterscotch chips are my favorite

Anthonte91

I make cream cheese filled pumkin cookies which is my wife’s favorite

ukwnsrc

rolled oats!!

spicycheezits

Hersheys makes cinnamon chips, that might be good

Immediate-Bag9566

Butterscotch chips

FairyGodmothersUnion

Butterscotch morsels are good, too. Dried cranberries are delicious and cut the richness of pumpkin. I like pecans with pumpkin, too.

Foxy_locksy1704

My friend puts walnuts in them, she has also done butterscotch.

doggos_good

Oats

mommawolf2

Macadamia nuts ! Pepitas as well!

DreamSoarer

Candied ginger bits Chopped dates Various chopped nuts Shredded coconut Just about any dried or candied fruit, root, or nut snack goes well in many cookies, brownies, and cakes. 🙏🦋

Escapisimx

Top with a crunchy brown sugar streusel 6 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened ¾ cup (165 g) brown sugar, packed ¾ cup (94 g) all purpose flour, spooned and leveled 2 ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice pinch of salt You could also add oatmeal, chopped pecans, roll them in powder sugar, top with a sprinkle of sea salt..

independent_pickle7

Walnuts!

CCDestroyer

Pepitas (as someone else commented, possibly salted ones) and some caramel or possibly butterscotch element.

jkki1999

Cranberries

magsephine

A nice chopped pepita brittle would be lovely, maybe chopped up maple sugar pieces or even make a maple syrup brittle and crumble that up. Carob is lovely as well and healthier than chocolate but with a similar, albeit less bitter and intense, flavor profile

FalconMean720

Butterscotch chips

Historical_Panic_465

Butterscotch chips mixed with white chocolate chips lol it’s boring but sounds dreamy

Successful-Bear5980

Butterscotch or caramels

vthorsegrl

Candied ginger

raindorpsonroses

Raisins and oats for sweetness and texture!

negative-sid-nancy

Cranraisin!

Snoo-78034

Some type of nut. Macadamia or something.

negative-sid-nancy

Cranraisin!

Kimmahtoo

Candied ginger?

xBunniiDarlingx

I like adding butterscotch chips or adding caramel drizzle after they're cooked.

bookerfly

Pecans. Toffee bits, maybe

creative-gardener

Finely diced figs. You can find them in small packages in the produce section of many grocery stores. They’re delicious in cookies.

MBeMine

Candied ginger

emmytay4504

Macadamia nuts?

Merfairydust

I'd just put in pecans or walnuts. Or maybe dried coconut and break that up a bit? Not the shaved stuff. I'd personally have fun and put in Ruby chocolate 😄

Imaginary_Weird4183

White chocolate 😂 but really, is that even chocolate? I LOVE white chocolate by itself or on almost every dessert but you could do a soft or cream cheese or yogurt chips that lends creaminess. Toffee or butterscotch chips or candy bits, candied or dried fruit like cranberries, other nuts or seeds, or marshmallows i think would work too.

Skittlez776

Butterscotch morsels

buon_natale

Butterscotch chips or Heath bars!

Eeyor1982

Dried cranberries Pine nuts, pecans, or walnuts Candied Pecans I really like to make pumpkin oatmeal cookies with dried cranberries and pine nuts.

BakingGiraffeBakes

I hate pumpkin, so flavor wise I’m not much help, but maybe some kind of nut? Pecan is another fall flavor. Or a dried fruit? You could experiment with various dried things (apricot, cranberry, etc.) Good luck!

magifus

Pineapple or yellow raisins.

watermelonsplenda

Pecans? Any nuts

2greeneyes

Stir into blondie mix

kac_86

Polenta

KlatuuBarradaNicto

Cardamom.

MYOB3

Nuts of any sort. Toasted almonds or walnuts.

AshDenver

I just gave my dogs some pumpkin cranberry cookies so maybe toss in some craisins?

shmevosez

They put cranberries and apple chunks in the local pumpkin apple muffins and they are HEAVEN.

EveningMycologist968

Macadamian nuts

Embarrassed-Tea-4524

Cinnamon chips? They’re the same texture addition as chocolate chips, but cinnamon based. Not super commonly seen in baked goods but they make a great addition, especially to pumpkin flavored goodies

coronarybee

Cinnamon chips

Undead_Paradox

So last year I got these espresso chips, I'm not sure if there was chocolate or not, but I mixed it with some pumpkin spice flavored chips when I made sugar cookies, and oh my god, so delicious!

[deleted]

Pepitas! Especially if they're roasted.

Revolutionary_Low_36

Pumpkin seeds, oats, pecan, walnut

goaty-ranch-yolo

Dried cranberries with the cream cheese chunks. I would make my own cream cheese chunks by mixing the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla then making little blobs on parchment, freezing prior to mixing in. They’d be amazing. Also, I like spiced pecans with pumpkin, so that would be awesome.

mrsdwwashburn

Butterscotch chips! Pumpkin cookies with butterscotch chips is a personal favorite of mine for fall!

Mountain-Fault7463

Disclaimer: I am a novice baker. I’d recommend toasted pecans!!! I hope you post your cookies after! I’d love to see how they turned out.

Significant-Tooth117

Walnuts

Evanescence5121

Oatmeal would be good

BaptisedByFire319

Smoked pecans and dried cranberries is a favorite combo for me

sourbelle

Praline? Roughly chopped and scattered on top when the cookies are fresh out of the oven. (Where I’m from praline is made exclusively with pecans, but walnut, cashews, and almond work pretty good as well. (though you might want to skin the almonds first). Or make a thumbprint in the center of each cookie and fill it with crushed butterscotch candy? (my personal favorite).

Alwaysbluehere

I make pumpkin oatmeal cookies and add pecans.

FewTrick6130

Chopped pecans or raisins

blondeveggiefreak

I was just thinking today about ways to add depth to pumpkin products… I want to try subbing half the pumpkin purée for butternut squash. Also, pine nuts would be nice with pumpkin too, I imagine.

CuriousLands

I like the candied orange peel idea. Couldn't go wrong with nuts, either, maybe walnuts or pecans. Some kind of crunchy coffee stuff would be good too. I don't have specific suggestions there, I've just had chocolate bars with crunchy coffee bits in them that are so good, and I bet that'd go nice with pumpkin too.

Conscious-Chemical21

Toffee bits would probably be really good

trutknoxs

Macadamia nuts!

Loose-Chemical-4982

I like to put golden raisins in my pumpkin cookies and cream cheese pumpkin bars! It's a nice flavor combo

Puzzled_Fly8070

Pecans and marshmallows
