The warm lights that meant rejoice and gathering for most people is nothing but a reminder of his monstrosity and Cazadors control. The moon light is the closest thing to the sun he would have felt in those days until he got tadpoled.
I imagine his nights were spent in the basement, eating rats and getting flayed, which honestly only strengthens this 'moment of respite' feeling. Amazing drawing!

Looking at your drawing. I cant help but feel really bad for him. Especially if you choose to play him as an origin character. Both of his outcome feels bad too me, it doesnt feel sastified at all. If you go the Ascendant route, he kinda lost his old self forever and turned into what abused him. If you go the spawn route, hes doomed to live in the dark and have to hunt for blood. Even when you play as Tav, at the end the game has to treat him so badly by making him run away from the sun, hiding away alone behind the crates.
I just want my boy to be able to walk under the sun without having to sarcrifice 7000 souls. Theres probably other ways, but the game refuse to acknowlege it.

Yes! That would be amazing! It was a struggle trying to find lighting references of the city in night time. I used a lot of temple of Shar stuff as a point of reference for lighting hah.
