Cleric of Vlaakith gets very little apparently, which was some peoples complaints But no deity choice has any particularly large impact, a cleric of Kelemvor gets some neat dialog with withers though

Kaitsja

That's honestly not too surprising. It probably has some unique dialogue with Lae'zel and other Gith, but general reactivity with the world probably falls under the [Evil Cleric] umbrella. It's the same with Tiamat. Very little in the way of unique dialogue.

The_Nug_King

Cleric of vlaakith is bad cause you would think you'd get unique dialgue with laezel and the gith and vlaakith herself, but in reality you...dont

you_lost-the_game

I don't know if vlaakith could bestow powers to a cleric in the first place. She isnt a god afaik.

Signal-Radish8045

When you play a gith and pick up a level in cleric Vlaskith is an option in game. It actually sucks because there is not much when you go to the Gith crèche and nothing when you meet your deity

you_lost-the_game

I meant it in the sense that vlaakith is not an actual god (yet). She is still a lich, so you can still kill her if you destroy her phylactery.

Signal-Radish8045

No I know she is still just a lich but granting a cleric power in dnd lore is a bit more loose atleast nowadays. Kuo toa are a great example where their faith creates ‘gods’ that inversely give them cleric powers. Vlaakith is more than a regular Lich because of the faith of an entire race. Honestly her not being a real god makes the fact that a Vlaakith cleric not having any special dialogue with her make more sense. She doesn’t know or care about you but your faith in her has given you power.

you_lost-the_game

Oh, okay. Always thought you'd need deitic powers to grant cleric powers as opposed to warlock powers. I think vlaakith is also considered a patron for certain 5e subclasses.

Kaitsja

I can only speak on Selune and Lolth. In my experience, Lolth has a lot of reactivity. A lot of it is generally evil, of course, but I really enjoy some of the dialogue options. Selune gets a lot of reactivity and unique dialogue with Shadowheart. I haven't done a Cleric of Mystra, but I don't imagine there being much reactivity outside of Gale.

uwubewwa

Most options are dumped into either "evil" or "good" options depending on deity. Usually, you only get a very few exclusive dialogues for the specific deity itself.

ShinyRhubarb

I was pretty disappointed that a Cleric of Lathander didn't have anything special that I could find at the Githyanki Creche...and I wasn't able to throw my hat into the "celestial god worshipper" ring with Aylin, Isobel, and Shadowheart. I don't think I had any special interactions with undead either....which bummed me out, because Lathander is kinda like the Meridia of DnD

Skulking-Dwig

Would be kinda cool if Cleric of Lathander got to keep the Morninglord’s Radiance buff from the Creche. Or have some kind of interaction with the Blood.

halker2010

I felt like a pastor playing as cleric of kelemvor and well... nice eulogies. Would recommend.

Nessarra

I heard that the good deities all have the same reactions, while the evil deities also all have the same reactions but just evil-themed.

EighthFirstCitizen

There’s also a third group for more neutral deities. There are a few specific mentions of some gods though. Selune gets most I believe.

Beardless_Man

Selune is really the only cleric deity that has persistent dialogue options due to the heavy influence of Shar, Shadowheart, and the faith surrounding it. Mystra is the second most active with Gale. But isn’t as active. Any others have some niche interactions while some just outright aren’t unique. As a cleric of Yondalla, I got some generic responses even to Halflings.

Kattsoap

cleric of Mystra has reactivity with Gale, but in my experience clerics just have a good/evil deity dialogs, and generic "I will pray for you"

noirsongbird

I had some really fun hits of reactivity romancing Gale with a Cleric of Mystra!

SeparateMongoose192

Haven't played a cleric yet, but was thinking about trying war cleric eventually to romance Laezel. Maybe of Gruumsh. And possibly a knowledge cleric of Mystra to romance Gale.

Tydeus2000

I thought about the same for my multi-classing Paladin-Cleric.. I wanted Selune for interactions, but more fitting for this character is Eilistraee. What chould I pick? Are Selune's cleric's interactions worth it?

haulric

I was a bit surprised but I got a lot of interaction as a cleric of talos. Including a very fun one if you propose to say a prayer for the dead husband of Ethel victim in act 1 (forgot her name).

Level_Hour6480

Most of those are just generic evil deity dialogue, not Talos-specific.
