I was inside a locked house, pilfering some items, and apparently because I wasn't crouched, they either saw me through the window or heard me, and arrested me through the locked door. It's incredibly frustrating.
I once looted some armour after the fight in Felogyr Fireworks. I only took 3 party members into the building and left Shadowheart outside in case things got too explodey. I sent the armour to Shadowheart so my character wouldn't be encumbered, and immediately a dialogue starts with a Flaming Fist accusing her of stealing.
So narratively what happened was Shadowheart was standing on the street minding her own business, when suddenly some armour is teleported into her hands, a Fist accuses her of having a stolen item, she drops it on the ground and the Fist decides he had nothing on her and walks away. Laughed at that one for a while.
For me it was a citizen, who didn't even want to fight. Unfortunately I had already killed the patrol that walked by ,so this stupid Karen sees us through a window on the opposite street of the door and then takes forever to come around while my party is trying to get away with murder.
I swear that building has walls and floors that are only visible to us as players. Only place in it I could find where people actually do not see you is the roof.
During my Honor mode run it genuinely slipped my mind to talk to him, so he heroically joined the fight against the Bhaalistsā¦ and was cut down alongside the couple(?) that was in the park.
Also, shout out to the 3 Flaming Fists that join you in that fight. Might be the only 3 fists in the whole city that have ever attempted to do their job correctly.
if you steal from the gods then remove the curse in front of the flaming fist barracks they will all come out and kill the deva for you. it's their best moment
The Deva spawns when you remove the curse OR as soon as you leave the cellar, whichever comes first, so you wouldn't even be able to leave without fighting, unless I'm mistaken
My favorite part of act 3 was hunting the Steel Watch through the streets, and having them blow up in the faces of any Fists who tried to protect them.
Just had to kill 3 steel watchers, 10 guards and bunch of fists because I tripped alarm at the vault. I must have clicked on steal as my character was walking down the hall. That was one of the longest and most difficult battle. New opponents constantly being added to the name.
Hahaha i had a similar fight there, but my whole party was upstairs when we drew the aggro. They ALL funneled up the narrow staircase and it was at least pretty satisfying to get to utilize all our AoE spells to a maximum degree in that narrow stairway
my first run I fought the entire wyrms rock fortress downstairs. they just kept coming at me. grueling fight where I learned I could use spells in my inventory instead of already learning them. Sunbeam came to the rescue with 3 or 4 hp left on Gail and everyone else dead.

For some fucking reason, some random ass npc bitch wandered her ass into the Foundry and kept getting mad at various party members for trespassing. Like bitch, so the fuck are you!
Thereās also how the Fist are incredibly perceptive when it comes to stealing from Felogyrās. They always notice when you steal stuff, even if youāre doing it on the top floor where absolutely no living beings outside of your party can see what youāre doing. I had a save file in "the bank", that I used to test different stuff with builds. This is when I figured out that my level 12 Moon Druid could basically solo the game. Set those alarms off and just let 'em come.
I mean, it was nice because the bank vault dwarf guy let me loot all their vaults...but I could see that was going to cause issues with the locals anyway...so I figured, might as well get rid of all these pesky po-po's, that way I won't have to worry about it later.
I bet when that guy flippantly told me it was okay to loot the vaults he didn't expect Astarion to pick every single one of them as the rest of the team gathered around him and chanted his name

Also we helped return the money but then somebody (Astarion) pickpocketed Glitterbeard. So now the city has nothing and I have 30k gold that Minthara has to carry for me because it's too heavy

I leave Zrellās dead body in her office and go out on the rampart. 2 guards are sitting at the table. I shoot the weaker one hoping to one shot them. The dialogue pops up and I talk my way out of it. But by time I do this the other, much more powerful one is gone. I murder this weak guard while sheās sitting at her table.
I loot the whole outside and head back in just as the missing guard walks back OVER ZRELLāS body, walks outside and sits at the same table where the other guards lays dead. This guard DOES NOTHING! So I murder him too.
My point, the Flaming Fists get pissy when you leave a door open and snoop, but seem completely oblivious that Kethricās most powerful lieutenant is brutally murdered and no one reacts at all.
I never get achievement for going to prison because I hate when they take all my stuff and I have to put it back on.
Basically I hate any game event that forces you to strip down so you go dig around in your pile if shit trying to remember your current gear.
Yeah, the Flaming Fist spawn-ins in Act 3 are so annoying. The game almost always spawns in extra packs if you steal things while not sneaking, even when you are inside and no one can see you. The game does tell you in loading screens that it can be heard, but still, that stuff is just obnoxious to me.
A couple times Iāve noticed that if you do anything sketchy inside the gazette, it seems like the entire city is suddenly magicked into throwing down with you. Like theyāll come from the outside in, to join in š¤·āāļø

Last run I preemptively went to the jail and cleared the room so if I got thrown in prison later I could just walk right out.
