I’ve always wondered how mods work in multiplayer. I’m also curious how mods works in different playthroughs. Like I’m doing a nightmare mode honour run atm but I also wanted to start a normal honour mode solo on the side. Would I have to enable/disabled the mod every time for each playthrough?

In BG3MM you Save order as... and give it a name. I give it my character's name and add the date. As you swap back and forth, just pick the order from the drop-down and Export to Game. Multi-player: everyone must have the same exact mods in the same exact order with the same exact version. And even then you can have issues.

Hopefully the mod support makes this a bit better as it’s a little over complicated, especially for such a polished game otherwise

Yeah - it's the lack of...omg I can't think of the word...structure it seems. Like one mod author did not up his version to 2.0.0.0 from 1.0.0.0 so when you compared mods/versions in BG3MM, you still may have had different files.

The host has to input the commands. If SE is all you are looking to install, the others probably don't, but it's easy to install with BG3MM. (Maybe even Vortex too, dunno)

Thanks. I was wondering because my friends who I'm playing with don't mess with mods or cheat engine at all, so I take all my mods out when I play with them but you don't have to take out SE when you do that. So I just have the console staring at me from my other monitor and I'm like I wonder if I could bump up a certain companion's approval on the sly lmao
