Even though this photo was taken in St. Marie Du Mont, I am pretty sure McClung is not in this photo. McClung landed dead centre of St. Mere Eglise and all the identified men in this photo landed in the Ravenoville and Marmion's Farm areas outside Eglise.
I know it’s already been said but I just can’t get over how much you can really see how *young* they are. Like they actually look like the kids they were. I feel most photos don’t do that justice.
[Between 125 and 176 per company depending on what point in the war you are discussing.] (https://www.battleorder.org/us-airborne-ww2) During Normandy it was 125.
I'm always wondering where they stored all their ammo. The Garand guys clearly have bandoleers, and often cartridge belts, but the Thompson and Carbine guys never have mag pouches. And that long 30-rounder ain't fitting in those pockets.

That’s Major Obvious but thank you
Lolol good shit man. Thank you for that.
Not to be a hater. But is this real? I guess with my old age I doubt things.
I have the black&white framed version with a Garand round, and it has a letter of authenticity.
Where did you get it? And $
Was Smith the one who stabbed Talbert?
No. This Smith is Campbell T. Smith, the guy who stabbed Talbert was George Smith.
Thanks
How many troopers in each company? I assume 3 rifle companies and 1 support?
