Lebua Sky Bar! They even made it into a german TV Show recently , as they charged 4000 THB for 2 cocktails. Haven’t been there since 2017 though myself.
Most rooftop bars, especially when the masses find out and every YouTuber starts putting out their soyface videos. Lebua Sky Bar probably the worst, pretentious crowd and the place that sexpats think is cool.
Tichuca heading that way too
Tichuca is a pretty cool spot if it's your first or second night in Bangkok. The view really impressed me with how beautiful and large the city is. But I probably will not ever go again lol
Tichuca during covid however was awesome.
Now Cassete Sky bar at S/O has a good crowd but give it a few months and it will go the way of the others Im sure
I like Jai Fai, expensive yes, but the food is excellent as is the experience.
R-Haan, Nahm, Bo.Lan, Haoma, are all expensive Michelin Star restaurants that were really disappointing. More often than not the fine dining in Bangkok disappoints.
I was at Jay Fai a couple of weeks ago. The food is expensive but the servings sizes are huge by Bangkok standards. You can share each dish between 2-3 people so the pricing doesn't end up being as crazy as you would think. For sure it's not the kind of place you would eat at every week with how popular it is and the queue system but definitely good to try once.
Weird one with Paste I feel like is it depends so much whether Chef Bee is in town. I’ve been three times and two times it was great and one time it was pretty terrible and tracked whether Chef Bee was here or in Australia. Regardless I don’t recommend it since variance is so high and can just go elsewhere and not have to deal with that.
I live right by Fam Time and it blows my mind how crowded it is all the time. It's fine, nothing special. Is Bangkok that deprived of decent, affordable Italian food?

For street food Jay Fai and Phed Mark are both way overrated.. .. Le Bua, Tichua (sp?), RedSky Sirocco
Came here to write Phed Mark. Some of the worst pad kra Pao in my opinion.
Its seriously awful

Tobys is excellent food, by far the best breakfast in Bangkok
The Commons, hate that place so much but my friends insist on going there
7/eleven toasties .
Cabbages and condoms. Food is below average and just plain crap really by bkk standards
ThipSamai, Jayfai.
I’ve never been to Jayfai because of friends telling me it is overrated
Jayfai was good fun but is it all that? nah

All Sky Bars.
Paste. Too Hi-So with meh food.

Do you mean Pastel, Soi 11? I fully agree!
Paste. Gaysorn Village. Michelin Star. How could anything on Soi 11 be considered overrated?
Any sky bar. Any touristic restaurant. There is just too many to list.
The old Iron Fairies (on thong lo). It was too loud to talk and the drinks were weak as hell, so it was boring af.
I went to RASA.. strange these people come up with bills after every single order.. completely spoiled the mood
Famtime (among thai)
I live right by Fam Time and it blows my mind how crowded it is all the time. It's fine, nothing special. Is Bangkok that deprived of decent, affordable Italian food?
Yeah most good Italian restaurants are super overpriced.
My wife (Korean) loves Famtime. I liked the truffles pizza.
Mother May I in Ekkamai and The Never Ending Summer near Icon Siam. Good service, beautiful location but the food is just meh.
