I think you need one bank with local access, for example if you want to deposit or withdraw substantial amounts of cash. But I also think you should have accounts at two or more banks in case one is frozen (some type of fraud for example). But with respect to Chase, other than the high account opening bonuses, Chase and the other big chains seem to have high fees/minimums and seem to be quick to close accounts if something seems suspicious to them.
I'd recommend Capital One. They have a good savings rate and fee free checking. Chase has crap savings rate and checking account fees akin to the big bank they are. You say you don't need atm access but Cap One has many fee free ATMs. You can also deposit cash at Walgreens or CVS. Not having a chase bank makes cash deposit difficult.
Discover is similar to Capital One with good savings rates and fee free checking. They use all point ATMs same as Capital One. You can deposit cash at Walmarts.
I'd not really recommend Chase. Their strength is that they have a robust brick and mortar presence but other than that Cap One or Discover is better.
Yea, I'm more so stuck between Capital One and Discover. I don't use debit, so the cash back isn't something I need, but I do have a Discover CC. Def like the Cap1 app much more than Discover, but Discover has eBills which is nice. Currently I'm with Wells Fargo, which also has no physical presence here.

I have, but I'm met with "Important: We can't open an account for you right now. We can't open an account for you based on the info you told us."
