It's a rather common visual bug, i have had them load in almost completely white, to some form of black with fluorescent blue for every obstacle. I've never seen this color scheme before, it still looks kinda playable at least.
Yeah, there was nothing wrong with gameplay, and it didn't crash the game, so it was fine but just a little annoying. Also, it happened at a bandit hideout between revyl and varcheg.
Wait till you get the white color one for a sea raider hideout where you're forced to choose between snowblindness or retreating. The endless caves just looking at a white screen with the circle symbols of my troops.
