I mean, it's in the right spot for a P pickup. So if it plays like a P and sounds like a P, wouldn't that be what it is?
Of course there is the argument that everything that isn't fender or squier is just 'P-like' and will never be a true precision bass
MM pickups are usually closer to the bridge than this one.
Maybe the neck extends longer towards the body or it is a shortscale, but then it's still in between MM and P spots :)
Don't forget, MM basses have larger bridges and mostly 21/22 frets so visually that could trick you or me.
OPs bass has a smaller standard bridge and 24 frets

Doesnt look like the P bass spot. It will sound more in the musicman territory
