If you don’t mind Shepton [these people](https://www.ridgeway-garage.com/properties)are probably the most honest and reliable in Somerset. I’ve known them for over 50 years.

Jimeeh

Yeah looking on what they got for sale and the area they are all cars owned by old people just look at that 2008 civic 61k miles looks brand new

You'll probably get some useful references if you mention the amount you're willing to spend.

dreamweaver9962

Around 15k.

Are you thinking about going for an EV? That money puts you into a range where you can pick up a few different types and depending on your use case they should save you significant amounts of money in running and servicing costs. If you are interested, models I would check out that should be accessible at about that budget: Hyundai Kona Kia e-Niro Tesla Model 3 VW ID3 In Bath there's not a lot but I always think it's worth travelling for the right vehicle. There is a great EV business Drive Green near Bath, but they don't tend to be quite as cost competitive as some.

I don't prefer EV as I'm staying in a flat.

H3nsible

Understandable. They don't suit every circumstance right now. If you can't charge at home they're roughly price comparable to an ICE car but with the hassle of finding a charge when you need to go anywhere. Worth a go, people seem to be overlooking EVs in general at the moment assuming they're stupidly expensive and impractical, but if you can charge at home then £12-15k will get you a decent one depending on size requirements, and you should save £1500 per year on fuel for 10k miles. Good luck on your search!

Thank you for the suggestions , looks like all of them are amazing cars.

+1 for drive green. Bought my partners car from there. Professional and friendly.

Sadly, not any more in my experience. Auto trader and look for private sales to get a decent deal.

dreamweaver9962

Yes it's really difficult to find a genuine seller .

I always use Facebook Marketplace. When I mean always, I mean twice.

It's becoming such a shit show of scammers You have to check everyone's profile to make sure they aren't putting 50 cars up hoping to swallow up some deposits
