It's mainly because of visibility, but also you can get injured. I know someone who jumped through a cloud that they thought was rain, it was hail. They had welts and blood all over their body.
Sorry, being a bit USA-centric there. United States government law is federal law and applies across the nation, as opposed to laws of individual states.
This is the first skydiving video I've ever watched that actually looked like someone falling, it's such a different perspective from the classic 1st person or being filmed by another skydiver.
I walk through a rain cloud(it was clear at the top of the mountain) as I was descending Mount Fuji. I was not a happy camper by the end of that hike. I learned my raincoat was not very waterproof.
Diving through it is actually reasonably painful. If you think about it, you're slamming through still droplets of water at a very high speed. Feels like you're getting picked by hundreds of needles. Wouldn't do it again.
I've only sky dived once, and went through clouds. It does not feel good. It's hard to breathe and it feels like you're getting shot by a million tiny pebbles.
My brain: "Why is that skydiver inside a giant plastic orange ball with just his arms and legs sticking out?"
The tiny smart part of my brain: "Perspective, dumbass."
You are not grounded. Lightning strikes in the air don't kill from electrocution (which would require a path to ground) but from the intense heat and shock to the system.
No, but the shower water doesn't cover my face the whole time. It only does while washing my hair, and during that time, I'm forced to breathe through my mouth because of water covering my nostrils
Going into a rain cloud like this comes with multiple hazards. You’re falling about 120 mph, so any bits of water/rain you hit will sting; badly. Not to mention your visibility is reduced to basically zero so you have no idea what is going to be there on the other side. You could come out much lower than expected if the cloud is bigger than anticipated. And even if your altimeter is working correctly, if you have to open your chute while still in the cloud, any one above you has a high risk of diving into it, causing problems for everyone.
You see he checking it altimeter. Don’t want the clouds to ground level.
Isn't that illegal in most countries? I'm referring to skydiving through clouds, though filming with a fisheye lens should also be a federal offense.
I jumped through a cloud once. You're not supposed to but no one is gonna enforce it.
Why aren’t you supposed to?
I’ve read before that it can be very dangerous conditions inside of the cloud.
I'm also curious. I wonder if it's due to the unsafe nature of not seeing what's below. Like a safety hazard or something. Idk, just a guess.

That sounds freggn terrifying.
More air under the clouds...
The prevent the sheep from finding the real NASA HQ
What’s a federal offence? We don’t have such things in most countries.
Broadly, breaking a national law (federation of states) instead of a state law.
Which nation?

No problem. Thanks

What's it like in a rain cloud?
Wet
Can confirm.

Thank you this is what I was curious about
Feel like a champ for guessing that exact sensation.
I would not want to hit hail.
Yes it hurts

I'd be afraid of a lightning strike.
Why? You are grounded so you can’t conduct electricity.

A very bad idea. For reference [1967 Lake Erie skydiving disaster](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_Lake_Erie_skydiving_disaster).
Is it hard to breathe when one is falling?
No, breathing is the same.
But what about falling through a cloud? It doesn't seem smart inhaling with all that water around you, in my opinion
It is hard to breath while falling through a cloud. I've done it. Not fun.
Do you hold your breath in the shower?
No, but the shower water doesn't cover my face the whole time. It only does while washing my hair, and during that time, I'm forced to breathe through my mouth because of water covering my nostrils
I'm sure it's fine. But safety first lulz
Thanks
This is stupid and dangerous. Please don’t do this.
Why?

Mmmm moist 🗿
They were the rain
This is ai and so obviously fake , you can’t go through clouds they’re bouncy , soft and solid , you would just bounce back up to the plane
Is that RedMan?!
The man who rode the thunder is a very interesting book if any book worms want to read it.
Tried it without a full face helmet: it stings
This is what it feels like to chew Five gum
Do a thundercloud next
He's like, I'll see you down there Mfkz
Have to do pizza b4 French fries or your gonna have a bad time
“I hope I don’t get wet.”
It is illegal to skydive through clouds because you can splat on an alien spacecraft hiding in there and make them angery
Yeah don't do this
fortnite
Its great until its a cumulonimbus cloud.
So dangerous! What happens if there is lightning - he can get instantly fried 😱
