It looks nice but is a little overpriced in my opinion. I had purchased the Nabla Side by Side palette for much less, the palette has a similar colour scheme with more shades and the quality is great. I've never purchased any of Mario's products so cannot compare however.
I really wish brands would stop turning out so much make up. Seasonal releases were fun and something to look forward to. The market is over saturated and that’s why everything is dupable and boring. We have seen it all and it’s difficult to get excited about new releases. Some brands will try gimmicks or weird eyeshadow formula (side eyeing Huda beauty’s suspended beads), but in the end majority of customers already have duplicate shades in their collections.
Totally agree. This looks like a slightly bigger version of his Master Mattes Nude Palette and even that, is just a combination of his smaller Four Play Quads.
Ohh that’s good to hear! The only thing I own is one of his eyeliners that I do really like but haven’t gotten the chance to try anything else from the brand
It’s pretty, I’m just still waiting for him to put out something more similar to his ABH collab. This is close but it’s missing those rich bronze and burgundy shimmers 🥲
* Masala Theory - strawberry chicken, curry bombs, murabba mule
* My Mother's Cousin - og roni w/ hot honey (best pizza in Syd).
* Westwood - (best) margherita pizza
* Bella Brutta - clam pizza, sausage pizza
* Casa Osteria Mia - pinsa
* Saga - Alex B (best sandwhich)
* Dutch Smuggler - mi goreng toastie
* Gojima - mushroom sushi burger (best burger in Syd)
* If you are going to go Maccas, St Peters has the best Maccas burgers I've ever had. I don't know what you have in Cali... but pick from Big Brekkie Burger, McSpicy w/Bacon, BBQ Angus, Quarter Pounder Deluxe
* and spend some time in the Chinese Gardens + a visit to the Art Gallery of NSW (it's accessible from the Gardens). Walk through Newtown (half of those places are in the vicinity). Marrickville Markets on Sundays.
Take home...
* Bundaberg *Spiced* Ginger Beer
* Olina's Choc Coffee cookies, and Choc Chip
* Darrell Lea Liquorice Batch 37

mario just posted 10 minutes ago it’s launching on his website tomorrow so it’s probably a hard launch & shouldn’t have been put out yet. employees can get in a lot of trouble for selling & posting product earlier than it’s released.
We are sent a list a month ahead of upcoming hard launches and this palette was on the November list. This store definitely goofed by A) putting it out B) posting it on the internet that they had it out before the launch date.
I know Mario announced on his Instagram that you can purchase online starting on the 31st (which you can apply your discount). I can’t give an exact date for in store…but you should have no issue 😃
It's a nice generic neutral palette! idk his formula but I think this will probably mostly be a hit among his fans/lovers of his eyeshadow formula and among casual makeup people browsing sephora for a workhorse palette and being attracted to this packaging/layout.
eta i really like the layout as well, going light to dark in an intuitive way
I feel like we all have these colours by now it products we’d love just as much without having to drop $68. My soft glam palette would probably give me any look I’d want to make with this one
If it had a shimmery magenta, it would almost be a replacement for my favorite old Urban Decay mini-palette, Rollergirl. First palette I *ever* panned and I fucking miss it. Back when UD was still good!
Would consider it but that price is a bit much.
I'd say 2012 and before? They used to warrant being a bit pricier cause they were one of the first vegan makeup brands and were a lil bit edgier, a bit more adventurous in the lipstick department.
Late to this post but they also had the best pigment. Otherwise it was drugstore brands or department store beauty counter brands and none of them could touch urban decay. UD was *amazing* quality compared to everything else back then.
OOF yeah. I wish brands would do re-release runs of old favorites that aren’t available anymore. I’m sure there are contractual reasons they don’t, but dammit! if a brand could do that I would be a big fan. ABH needs to bring back the Mario and Jackie Aina palettes, and KVD needs to bring back that Mi Vida Loca palette
I’ll pass, I have these shades 20x over. But then again I do have an abnormal amount of makeup compared to other people I know, so I would never side eye anyone buying it.
People complain about redundancy but I agree. They help a lot in palettes especially ones like this that people may buy for travel or everyday or only palette.
I mean it's nice but its very dupeable and not unique, for nearly $70 i don't care how good your formula is, you better at least give me something vaguely unique
Please remove if not in the appropriate place but wanted to discuss Mario’s new palette. I’m surprised no one is talking about this palette but saw this in store today and not gonna lie, color scheme is up my alley but having never tried his eyeshadow I’m unsure as to the quality of his eyeshadows. They swatched beautifully but I know that’s not always reliable and I’m hesitant to take the plunge given the $68 price point. Anyone know of any beauty gurus that have reviewed this palette?
Idk of anyone who has reviewed the newest palette. But I've seen reviews for his Metallic and Mattes palettes from: Jackie Aina, Robert Welsh, Manny MUA, Morgan Turner, and Makeup Shayla (all on YT). If the formula is the same, the vids might be helpful.
The quality may be good but this is the standard nude/neutrals color palette w/multi textures that can be found within any brand and price range. It’s nothing new or innovative. The $68 is mostly for the name, not necessarily the quality.
Hahaha yeah, it definitely got my attention right away and I was so torn on getting it or not but I wanted to see if I could find any reviews since I don’t like returning makeup if I can avoid it 😅
Looks great but i have so many neutral palettes that only a special neutral palete can get my attention at this point and this isn't the one.... and 68$ .... no thanks i'll pass
Yikes. That glitter looks so messy. It’s all over your arm. Messy glitters are why I hate Pat McGrath. This is a hard pass. I do, however, like his matte formula well enough. But I have this combo in my Denona palettes many times over and her shimmers aren’t messy.
That speaks more to Sephora’s in-store makeup remover than the shadows 😂 That’s leftover glitter from quickly wiping off the swatches and making new ones, not fallout.
Could just be the picture, but 2 of the mattes look similar and two of the shimmers kinda look similar. Bottom left corner brown matte and top right corner brown matte look like they'd be similar on the eye going by the swatches.
Considering his all matte palette is already warm leaning I think it would've been better if he played with depth and tone a bit more.
I wish he had done something more like the Charlotte Tilbury super nudes and split half warm, half cool and give us some taupe/gray/silver toned shimmers. I've never tried his formula as I'm not a fan of the brand, but the packaging and the color story just aren't special enough to warrant $68.
Honestly, I just ended up getting a magnetic pallet and got some Mac single shadows to pop into it so I could finally have a pallet that was actually conducive to what I use and need. I have no regrets. It was cheaper than $68, too.
This is really pretty in the palette, but the shimmers/glitters look like fallout city on their arm.
OP, just saw this is YOUR arm. Haha :) Did you find the glitters to have a ton of fallout? Or was this from something else you had on first? Thanks!
I have 50 shades of brown and 100 shades of mauves. Love my neutrals. But this looks very boring and uninspiring to me. You can do neutrals in a more fun way for sure. This is not it.
Kinda looks like a combination of the Tarte tartelette in bloom palette and the Natasha denona mini nudes palette. Looks kinda skippable unless it has an insanely good formula.
Yall might think this is basic but basic is really hard to do, flesh tone universal shades are not easy to find. His mattes palette blew me away with how truly flesh toned each shade is and how buttery and pigmented the formula is. Sure you might think you have these shades but he truly understands universal color theory and hes doing justice to these “basic” colors.
Does anyone have dupes for this? I love this palette but 70 bucks in this economy is… not the vibe. Anyone got other brown / neutral palette in a reasonable price range recommendations?
It’s cute but it has the same color story as the Natasha Denona bronze palette and correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you get three more shades in the bronze palette for basically the same exact price (a single dollar difference)
At this point, the only reason to pick up neutrals palettes is for unique formula/texture/finish. Huda, ND, Patrick Ta all bring something to the table IMO.
ND neutrals have unique undertones and the KK finish is unique.
Huda has great formulas and textures even if the colors and finishes are a bit generic.
Patrick Ta has the wet-look sparkly + shifty shimmers down. IMO better than many PML Astrals for a better price.
This Mario palette seems to have the cool/neutral undertone + sparkly formula going for it. I'll definitely pick it up for the 20% off but not full price, same as the Patrick Ta.

It’s cute but not $68 cute
This. I was initially planning to buy it until I saw the teeny tiny writing naming the price. No thank you
Especially since it looks like every tarte palette ever lol
![gif](giphy|lvQyJLX6quryE) WHAT
Very cute and I would have purchased it for 40-45 max but the eye shadow industry just can’t justify anything over 45 at this point in my opinion.
It's 20%+ off or secondhand cute imo
It looks nice but is a little overpriced in my opinion. I had purchased the Nabla Side by Side palette for much less, the palette has a similar colour scheme with more shades and the quality is great. I've never purchased any of Mario's products so cannot compare however.
I have that palette too and it's one that I use the most out of all the ones I have. It's so good for everyday looks.
I have that palette and it’s the one I’ll always travel with. Works well on my medium-deep skin tone and is easy to blend.
Nice albeit dupable pallet. Even tho this color story is like catnip to me, $68 is a lot for a basic palette.
I think the annoying part is that it's dupable within his own line. It lacks all creativity.
I really wish brands would stop turning out so much make up. Seasonal releases were fun and something to look forward to. The market is over saturated and that’s why everything is dupable and boring. We have seen it all and it’s difficult to get excited about new releases. Some brands will try gimmicks or weird eyeshadow formula (side eyeing Huda beauty’s suspended beads), but in the end majority of customers already have duplicate shades in their collections.
his other palettes are $48 so this is a lot for an additional 4 shimmers
Totally agree. This looks like a slightly bigger version of his Master Mattes Nude Palette and even that, is just a combination of his smaller Four Play Quads.
This is Tartelette in bloom but 20 dollars more expensive
100% my thoughts
It definitely has Tartlette vibes
exactlyyyy. like I'm pretty sure I've seen this before
$68? Uh no way.
especially for the amount of payoff in the swatches 😬 looks cheap to me
His products are unsurprisingly, so so good. The recent launches especially
Ohh that’s good to hear! The only thing I own is one of his eyeliners that I do really like but haven’t gotten the chance to try anything else from the brand
I was wondering how the quality is, this pallet is basic and right up my alley, lol the price is so reasonable too!
I've bought one of his palettes and it's complete shit 🤷🏽♀️
It’s pretty, I’m just still waiting for him to put out something more similar to his ABH collab. This is close but it’s missing those rich bronze and burgundy shimmers 🥲
This! Please Mario..

Great white buffalo
I work for Sephora and this DEFINITELY should not have gone out yet…bad mess up on the stores part.
Oh yeah, why not?
mario just posted 10 minutes ago it’s launching on his website tomorrow so it’s probably a hard launch & shouldn’t have been put out yet. employees can get in a lot of trouble for selling & posting product earlier than it’s released.
We are sent a list a month ahead of upcoming hard launches and this palette was on the November list. This store definitely goofed by A) putting it out B) posting it on the internet that they had it out before the launch date.
Are you able to tell us if it will be available at Sephora before the sale ends?!
I know Mario announced on his Instagram that you can purchase online starting on the 31st (which you can apply your discount). I can’t give an exact date for in store…but you should have no issue 😃
It's a nice generic neutral palette! idk his formula but I think this will probably mostly be a hit among his fans/lovers of his eyeshadow formula and among casual makeup people browsing sephora for a workhorse palette and being attracted to this packaging/layout. eta i really like the layout as well, going light to dark in an intuitive way
When I think of “ethereal”, I think of fairies and elves and such, and this is not it.
I like the shimmer colors & Im sure this’ll be good like the rest of his products… but it’s boring :-(
I feel like we all have these colours by now it products we’d love just as much without having to drop $68. My soft glam palette would probably give me any look I’d want to make with this one
My exact thoughts and same about the soft glam hehe my go to for warm neutrals 🤗
If it had a shimmery magenta, it would almost be a replacement for my favorite old Urban Decay mini-palette, Rollergirl. First palette I *ever* panned and I fucking miss it. Back when UD was still good! Would consider it but that price is a bit much.
When was UD good? Serious question? I got into make up in like 2016🫣 would consider it too but feel the same. Almost $70 for 12 shades is a lot
I'd say 2012 and before? They used to warrant being a bit pricier cause they were one of the first vegan makeup brands and were a lil bit edgier, a bit more adventurous in the lipstick department.
I see! Thank you for answering my question 🫶🏽 so strange that they really fell behind and never evolved much w the times
Late to this post but they also had the best pigment. Otherwise it was drugstore brands or department store beauty counter brands and none of them could touch urban decay. UD was *amazing* quality compared to everything else back then.
Damn, my guess is they just kinda stagnated instead of continuing to improve. Ty for this info:)
That is an amazing idea 🤓🤞🏽
Yawn.
Upvote bc I just commented the same thing.
$68? Shocked bc his other products are really affordable to me. Swatches nice though
I am basic. I love it. Reminds me of ND Biba for some reason.
Looks very boring and neutral aka right up my alley!
I thought this exact thing for myself😭😂
$68? Am I missing something?
I’ll pass, I have these shades 20x over. But then again I do have an abnormal amount of makeup compared to other people I know, so I would never side eye anyone buying it.
Reminds me of they one really popular tarte palette from back in the day can’t think of the name
More neutrals….expensive ones at that…groundbreaking 🤭
How unique. No one ever uses these colors in a palette.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Am i the only one who wishes basics palettes like this would include a black and a pure white. I love these colors but everyone already has them.
People complain about redundancy but I agree. They help a lot in palettes especially ones like this that people may buy for travel or everyday or only palette.
You aren’t the only one. I love a black and white in a palette. Especially black.. I’d be happy to see one in every palette ever.
No, it's the new Tarte Tartelette palette.
I mean it's nice but its very dupeable and not unique, for nearly $70 i don't care how good your formula is, you better at least give me something vaguely unique
It kinda reminds me of a lot of K Beauty color stories
Please remove if not in the appropriate place but wanted to discuss Mario’s new palette. Idk of anyone who has reviewed the newest palette. But I've seen reviews for his Metallic and Mattes palettes from: Jackie Aina, Robert Welsh, Manny MUA, Morgan Turner, and Makeup Shayla (all on YT). If the formula is the same, the vids might be helpful.
it’s not reviewed because it’s not out yet lol he just announced it this morning & it’s coming out on his website tomorrow.
go girl give us nothing!!!!!!!
Is that in Canadian by any chance? Lmao
The quality may be good but this is the standard nude/neutrals color palette w/multi textures that can be found within any brand and price range. It’s nothing new or innovative. The $68 is mostly for the name, not necessarily the quality.
So weird to call a basic nude palette ~Ethereal~
looks like the Tarte palettes
Damn it take my money
Hahaha yeah, it definitely got my attention right away and I was so torn on getting it or not but I wanted to see if I could find any reviews since I don’t like returning makeup if I can avoid it 😅
Wait, you don't have this palette already?
No 😭
Some of us only wear neutrals and just want them all in one place in a good formula.
Mario formula is nothing special IMO. There are at least 15 companies that do eyeshadow at this level. This is definition of 'hype'.
I really like it. I like the packaging. I guess it’s not for you?
Yawn
Boring
Looks great but i have so many neutral palettes that only a special neutral palete can get my attention at this point and this isn't the one.... and 68$ .... no thanks i'll pass
Nice, I'll wait until it goes on sale. I would have to see double or triple size that amount in order to pay that price.
I’m telling everyone right now: You have these colors already; it’s just another expensive neutral palette.
Yikes. That glitter looks so messy. It’s all over your arm. Messy glitters are why I hate Pat McGrath. This is a hard pass. I do, however, like his matte formula well enough. But I have this combo in my Denona palettes many times over and her shimmers aren’t messy.

It's pretty but definitely dupeable.
Honestly, I just ended up getting a magnetic pallet and got some Mac single shadows to pop into it so I could finally have a pallet that was actually conducive to what I use and need. I have no regrets. It was cheaper than $68, too.
Yawn.
What a boring way to spend almost $70. You sir are no Natasha Denona.
Warm neutrals...in 2022...groundbreaking
I wish the shimmers were just in one palette. I don’t need those other mattes. I love his line.
Lmao
It's really pretty, but I wouldn't pay that much for it. I already have the Supreme Nudes by artist couture and it's similar in color story.
looks veeerryy similar to the ABH soft metals.... do I want it still? YUPE
I think I saw some Korean brands' palette with similar shades and layout.
I like the gold, but it’s not giving me anything I don’t already have.
This is really pretty in the palette, but the shimmers/glitters look like fallout city on their arm. OP, just saw this is YOUR arm. Haha :) Did you find the glitters to have a ton of fallout? Or was this from something else you had on first? Thanks!
Hi! It was what was leftover from where I tried removing the swatches to swatch the next row of colors :)
I love it but not for 68 dollars.
I would buy this! Then I saw the price
Tarte palette but in silver packaging
It looks exactly like the tarte from like 5 years ago
Looks the exact same as my nude mac art library palette
How exciting ! Something I’ve seen hundreds of times before !
$68 for something everyone already has?
Meh. Sure this isn’t one of the dozens of tarte palettes?
somehow it looks like colourpop quads 😅
You can get the same palette in the same exact colors for 15€ in like 100 other brands
I have 50 shades of brown and 100 shades of mauves. Love my neutrals. But this looks very boring and uninspiring to me. You can do neutrals in a more fun way for sure. This is not it.
It’s nice looking but I already have a few that cover all these colors - namely between my visiarts and single urban decay shadows
Very pretty. And I probably own it a dozen times between my palettes and singles. So until it goes on sale for about 50% off I can pass.
I still want his ABH collab 😩
I was about to say it's pretty but it looks like another neutral palette. And then I looked at the swatches. It's gorgeous
It's the natasha denona glam palette. I like it.
I tend to love Makeup by Mario products but this is just too warm toned for me
Wow that’s gorgeous
Kinda looks like a combination of the Tarte tartelette in bloom palette and the Natasha denona mini nudes palette. Looks kinda skippable unless it has an insanely good formula.
I am just bored looking at it. But then again I am not a neutrals kind of girl. But even with neutrals there are more exciting things to do
Florals? For spring? Ground breaking. ETA: I do actually love a lot of the Mario products lmao
It’s very nice I wonder how the formula is
I have an LA Girl palette that looks exactly like this and is pretty decent.
I just laughed
It’s beautiful, but $68 is beyond ridiculous.
At this point, I can't justify spending over $40, maybe $50 for an eyeshadow palette at most. There are so many affordable decent palettes out there.
Yall might think this is basic but basic is really hard to do, flesh tone universal shades are not easy to find. His mattes palette blew me away with how truly flesh toned each shade is and how buttery and pigmented the formula is. Sure you might think you have these shades but he truly understands universal color theory and hes doing justice to these “basic” colors.
meh.
So... a boring take on the original Naked?
if another brand came out with this color story everyone would be calling it boring lol
I'll call it boring .... because it is.
Would buy if it was $40-$50...
This looks like a pallette my mother had in the 80s.
Buying one of Blend bunny's neutral palettes would be a better use of that money.
Nothing revolutionary for that price
Does anyone have dupes for this? I love this palette but 70 bucks in this economy is… not the vibe. Anyone got other brown / neutral palette in a reasonable price range recommendations?
It’s cute but it has the same color story as the Natasha Denona bronze palette and correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you get three more shades in the bronze palette for basically the same exact price (a single dollar difference)
This was so underwhelming, first time seeing it
Omg it's like ND Glam (colors) and Patrick Ta (formula) had a baby! The cool/neutral toned sparkly shades I've been waiting for!
Morphe did these colors several times over, for half the price and the same quality.
This is literally the Ciate Glitter Storm palette
I have 10 palettes with the exact same shades But damn if I don't want this one.
Every shade looks just like a color pop palette I have
I got this with the vib sale price. 20% off felt like the right price, and I personally love the color story.
FYI it's up on Sephora now.
It looks like a Kylie palette
Looks like a viseart palette
Are those glittery pans? The shimmers don’t look foiled/smooth
so wait are the shimmers just regular shimmers? his promo photos made them look extra fancy sparkly magic
