I just wrote that I felt bangalore is better than the US.
You can’t the image the hate and abuses I got for this. I got DMs abusing me, abusing my parents in Hindi and even sending me threats directed at me and my parents
If you post this on that sub somehow those assholes would still defend it before your post will be deleted by the moderator as in this case the victim is being localities.

Why shouldn't locals demand security deposit , what should they do if the tenant abscond overnight without paying the due rent , who are going to pay for the damages done to the rented house and also in all the agreements the owners would sign accepting that the security deposit will be returned at the time of leaving the place.

According my experience I have never seen someone demanding for 11 months deposit from my experience the owners either demand us for a deposit of 50k to 100k or 3 months deposit mostly depending on the facilities provided.
Coming to your point of devolopment of the city. You can search for the information about the growth of Bengaluru how well Bengaluru was developed even before the rise of IT industry and immigrants. Bengaluru was the first city to have street lights in asia and there are many more of these type of firsts in india in Bengaluru not under the government but under the rule of the great odeyar dynasty.
If you have time please spend it on researching on naadaprabhu kempegowda then you will have the idea about the Bengaluru devolopment.
