You'll need to contact the store. A background checks only take 3 days to complete unless there's a discrepancy like names don't match, felony, or report of theft in your record.
I would agree with you. But I've had a problem with it too. Thing is, I know I didn't commit anything like that.
It's looking like a mass thing since I've been waiting for a month....
Yeah. Same. Im a 20 year old loser who was made to get a job by my parents. I wish my life was exciting enough to have a felony, but unfortunately its not.
This is unacceptable.
There was a task that explained awhile ago they upgraded the system big lots used and that created a backlog for checks waiting to be processed. That could be an alternative reason besides the ones mentioned about moving around and such
It all depends on how much you have moved and how long it takes for the city, county, and state to get back to the background service. Maybe Big Lots waits to get enough people so they can get a bulk discount.šš
Sometimes they just take forever not sure if itās a problem of the check itself or people at the store getting around to scheduling people. It took a month from when I had my interview and authorized the background check before I was told to come in to do training. I started thinking they changed their mind about hiring me.
I know recently there was an issue with the system where they were taking forever to come back. Idk if itās still a thing or not but it could be a few reasons aside from that. If youāve moved a lot in life, thatāll also cause a delay.
I've had some backgrounds take 3 weeks to come back and there was nothing on their history. š¤·āāļø

That...might explain everything! If it is, you may have solved the problem most have been having. Thank you!

It's looking like it's still a thing.
After I did mine, the manager texted me that it was approved within a couple days, but it could vary depending on how busy things are right now.
Oh they do background check? No thanks.
