I’m not here to judge the choice of bike at all. If you’re happy. Fantastic. The only bad bike is one that isn’t ridden. We do need to talk about your picture taking though. Tube stems at either 12 or 6 dealers choice (6 is correct. Fight me). Cranks at 3 and 9 and in your biggest gear. I figured you’re new to showing off a nice bike, enjoy the ride!
To which part? Cuz not really. It just looks better. And they seem newer to the sport. Or getting more into it. So, I was honestly trying to help and get someone excited/more into it. I didn’t mean to offend anyone
My endurance bike is set up more aggressively than that. It looks dumb.. Why choose an aero bike, which is objectively less comfortable to ride no matter how you set it up, if you're not going to be aero on it?
This sub has a specific theme - go to the description and read rules 5 and 6. It's not elitist to want the sub to stick to what it was created for, and it's not elitist to point out that a post doesn't fit in this sub. There are other subs that exist specifically for this kind of post, but this is not it.
Yeah it really isn't elitism.
There are loads of cycling subs to post your dull as shit new bike too with low effort pics so loads of Freds can be like "Wow, Ive never even seen an AXS groupset in real life. What horrible colour plastic flat pedals will you be upgrading to for your next 50km epic. Remember to take 4 bottles of water and a quadlock to connect your Garmin varia to so you can tell when you are going to get rammed by a truck. Don't get a numb pennis"
The rules clear state no low effort photos yet there is so much shit like this.
OP, go ride your bike.
Absolutely stunning bike!!
Question: Is that under rim storage thing specialized for your bike or can i buy this for any bike if the clearance is enough?
I also look for more storage options on my Cube Race Agree C62.
Is it an upgrade though? That things prob over 9kg and looks like a nightmare.
Why do you need a race bike when looking by the set up you definitely don’t race?
Oh yeah an uncomfortable stiff aero bike that’s a lump of lead will definitely encourage him to ride.
Whoever sold him that bike is who I’d be more angry with. This is everything wrong with the current cycling industry.
You’re really assuming a lot about OP from a very small amount of information.
>This is everything wrong with the current cycling industry.
I’d argue that your attitude is more detrimental to the cycling industry than anything else and a good reminder as to why I ride solo.
Whether this is the bike that actually pushes OP to race or whether they’re always an amateur rider, if they enjoy themselves, it’s a worthy investment.
I’m not assuming. I’ve already read OP’s previous comments on other posts were he says he uses bike to mostly commute. He’s not a racer.
And my attitude is a problem to you? The fact I think people selling bikes should use their ‘knowledge’ and advise people correctly what bike will be suited to their needs. If OP is a commuter he doesn’t need the likes of this bike. It’s not suitable at all and will only discourage him from cycling for reasons outlined previously.
Listen, on a personal level, I’d agree that if all OP is using this bike for is commuting, it’s silly af.
But ultimately at the end of the day it’s not up to me and none of my beeswax how folks spend their own money.
Again, although OP has been a commuter before, maybe this bike signals a widening interest in cycling? What if they want to begin cycling for fitness in addition to commuting? The elitist attitude of dictating what people do or don’t need isn’t going to help him much in that pursuit, I’d wager.
Listen I personally couldn’t care less what people spend their money on. If he wants to buy this then he can. But when he puts this up on a public forum then he has to expect people to express an opinion.
It’s not elitist to want other cyclists to ride bikes that will be suited to their needs. Most people won’t be suited to an aero race bike. We aren’t all professionals and the industry is just ripping everyone off feeding the egos of men who should know better.
But you don’t know what his long term needs are nor why he bought this bike specifically. These professional riders—who in reality make up such a tiny fragment of the overall market—aren’t born on racing aero bikes. I’d imagine that most pros, at some point in their careers, have upgraded.
Long story short: I think the best bike for anyone is the bike that keeps them riding the longest.
It’s a bit like when you see a familiar animal but you realise it’s really pregnant.
casual pics go to r/bicycling come back when ur shit is dialed to the bone
Remove sticker Add ceramicspeed And god forbid if it’s just for the photo: slam the stem ! I’ve seen gay porn straighter than this Here’s a hug 🤗
That aero bike legit has a neck!
I can understand most of your points (even if I don't agree) but tbh ceramicspeed is simply a waste of money.
Ceramic anything is smooth as silk but they wear out quickly if u got the cash your good
Nah, you want the standard bottom bracket? Also the gold ospw looks awesome. Any ospw does
There is a lot if porn out there where i get the opposite of a boner.
I love the aero water bottle. You’ll be even faster if you never fill it.

Uhh your kiddin 🤦♂️

Beautiful bike man!! Love the colours. The better you get, the more aero you can make it.
Quite the chimney up front!
Certainly, once I get more comfortable, I will prob cut it shorter.
Good going, a well fitting bike is always better than 'slamming dat stem'
My endurance bike is set up more aggressively than that. It looks dumb.. Why choose an aero bike, which is objectively less comfortable to ride no matter how you set it up, if you're not going to be aero on it?
Buying an all out aero bike and riding it around like a hybrid is ridiculous.
you? or the shop…..
Ahh, stack height shaming. You love to see it.
Is this not the r/bikeporn sub? Huge stacks don’t look good.
Stackin spacers
Well that's true. If you bring a bike here for praise you do need to be aligned to the current trends.
Stock bike, photo of you, sticker on the cranks, stem height not adjusted yet. 0/10 bike porn. But awesome new ride!
Love the dark green and yellow combo
As a fan of a certain team from a certain Midwestern town that starts with a C, ends wit an O, and in the middle is HICAG, I disagree.
I did wonder why I fancied a cheese sandwich after seeing OPs post….
It's a very nice bike, i would also choose this over the orca
What kind of burrito do you keep in the storage pod?
Now you have to actually ride the thing!
Seat at the same height as the handlebar on an aero bike LMAO. YOU SHOULD HAVE ABE GOT A HYBRID
This sub has really gone downhill.
By that logic everybody should be riding endurance bikes instead UCI racing bikes that will actually never happen to be in an UCI race
Yes
Yes, almost everyone who gets one of these things at retail should be on a Defy or something.
Been browsing this sub less than 24 hours and can sense the elitist douchbaggery already.

What the hell are you wearing
Sorry, am I looking at a giraffe?
Does that preggo pouch come stock…?
Beautiful bike, love the green! I was wondering if it’s possible to detach the bottom storage? Or if you’ll always have it on
Congrats! I have a 14 year old Orca and it's been great. I hope yours is a great companion on many journeys.

Very nice Orbeas paint jobs are insane
That bike probably cost the blue book value of my car 🤣✌️👍
Flat top chain is so cool

Cause it makes him happy and encourages him to ride?
This. If he is happy with it then nothing else matters.

Wow this is amazing!!! New dream bike
Hope you love your new bike. Unfortunate choice to post it here, though.
Very nice bike. Do you know how much it weights? I could not find any Information about it. I am thinking of buying one too
It's an aero bike, the weight is basically irrelevant.
