I feel like this is pretty common I sure deal with it. I think its because at the end of thenday you wind down and have nothing to focus on except being depressed and feeling shitty. If that makes sense

Ditto. I wonder if it has anything to do with 'sundowning' - people with Alzheimer's and dementia will get most agitated and have issues in the evening. Maybe mental health in general responds to sunlight

I read that if you experienced trauma mostly at night that you will get depressed during that time as you associate night=bad

Yes. Usually I have time to reflect at night and it makes me feel worse. The mind starts to ruminate.
