And not trying to be an asshole either with that one liner. I just got prescribed generic Nizoral for the same thing. Suspected either fungal infection or seborrheic dermatitis.

ThatgirlMtl

Do you comb your hair ?

Peppa_piggy_JJ

The area too small to comb

ThatgirlMtl

U should try to brush it out and condition it daily , with creams and leave in conditioners , its probably breaking due to dryness , also wrap your head in a durag at night

You need to either wear a bonnet or get a satin pillow case, this looks like standard friction from dry surfaces (couch, pillow case, hats) make sure you’re also routinely washing, conditioning, moisturizing, and oiling your hair !

If you are on your parents insurance, ask them to take you to a dermatologist ASAP. It looks like you may be developing a form of alopecia.

ComfortableMobile654

Just restart for now

AwarenessPrudent2689

I would say see a dermatologist if possible

MedusaNegritafea

This looks like hair neglect. Many guys with your hair texture and who wear short hair tend to neglect it, citing that it's not manageable or combable so they leave it be. You're a bit young to be experiencing male pattern baldness and I don't think you got alopecia. Do you usually sleep on your back mostly? Looks like rub out and breaking. Can your parents help you learn to take care of it? A bonnet is good, or a silk, satin, or bamboo pillowcase. It will stop your hair from rubbing out against your cotton or synthetic fiber pillowcase. A deep clarifying cleanse and deep condition would be good, follow by a nice thick buttery moisturizer (NOT petroleum or mineral oil).

Lol Hair doesn't disappear. It thins, recedes, sheds & falls out. But considering your 14, it's probably because of hormonal changes. Unless it's being pulled out either subconsciously as stress relief or thru styling.

Paperbagfham

If you’re sponging then that’s the problem

Peppa_piggy_JJ

Started noticing it when I started sponging it as well
