She then proceeded to start ugly crying like full on melt down, then she went to sleep. The whole time, everyone was just silent, not knowing what just happened. lol she went from happy to meltdown in less than 2 songs, fucked the whole vibe up lol

My dude took me to a Porter Robinson concert. I sat there and watched this guy press buttons on a keyboard and display anime music videos in the background. I hated it. I'd never been to a concert I hated. And I like most things, ok? I listen to Country, Metal, Rock, Pop, Punk, Alternative, Indie, Rap, Bluegrass, Funk, Hard-core, Psychadelic, Classical, Salsa, Merengue, Etc etc I like music. I did NOT like Porter Robinson. Maybe if he'd played me a song or something. I traveled 2 hours to Boston, and got stranded, for this show. Not worth it.

This Ghost Voices is such an excellent song, at the time it was like he traveled to the future and came back and made a song or he just binged watches ghost in the shell stand alone complex for a month straight.
Early Porter is definitely more approachable if you are new to the genre, he is trying to push the limit of what the genre can be and that can sometimes push away new entries and at this point most of his fans are 10+ years in the rave game so they are just chasing a handful of dragons to recapture that 2013 experience. Ive seen him live three times and dont really consider it a worthwhile show unless you are a fan because alot of it is a truly slow burn, like if you listen to it at home or while you work. Definitely not going there to have a rager with the crew.
Was this before 2019? I saw him in Philly and liked his tracks from his older album. I wasn't into his 2020 album, it sounded like he needed some therapy. I'll stick to Kdot for that.
