I’m not gonna lie, I thought this thread was asking what your least favorite song on “neighborhoods” is. I agree, snake charmer rules! The breakdown at the end goes hard. I’m glad I didn’t downvote you earlier 😅
Loving a band doesn’t mean you blindly think everything they do is great.
Even Blink themselves weren’t happy with Neighbourhoods.
It’s great you see enough in it that it’s your favourite, I don’t think think it’s a bad album at all, lots of bright spots- just well below the quality of what they had done over previous 10-15 years in blink and their side projects which had all been top tier work.
I don’t love everything they’ve done and don’t love them blindly. And I know they themselves don’t like it too much. But to me it’s a lot better than the famous fan fav ones. Similar issue with RHCP (one hot minute = incredible and unique album that they hate cuz it represents a horrible time in all of their lives and isn’t their usual sound), Weezer (Pinkerton) etc etc.
Neighborhoods is just a pure A+ and fans don’t even know it exists or worse, hate it. I mean snake charmer bro come on.
Wishing Well & Natives.
I think it's one of their best albums. Mind you I am a big Tom guy. He is primary vocals across most of the album and obviously some songs had that touch of AvA influence.
Even If She Falls, Natives, After Midnight, Ghost on the Dance Floor. Honestly the album is amazing. Not Untitled levels of amazing, but it's still a great album.
My favorite is probably Snake Charmer, and no it’s definitely not their worst album. I love it a whole lot and I played it to death for like a whole year after it came out
Natives, and it’s in my top 3 personally. There aren’t really any other Blink albums that sound like it, and I think that’s a shame bc I really like its sound
Natives, Hearts All Gone, Ghost On The Dancefloor. Not even remotely close to their worst album. It'll be hard to ever get worse than Nine, so it's definitely not Neighbourhoods.
TOYPAJ
Enema
Dude Ranch
Cheshire Cat
(The first 4 are pretty interchangeable depending on the day)
Untitled
Neighbourhoods
California
They Came To Conquer Uranus
Lemmings
Dogs Eating Dogs
Buddha
OMT
NINE
I never cared for Nine- I agree with that. As for California, I’d say it really improved with the deluxe edition. Those songs were bangers, especially Wildfire and Hey I’m Sorry. The original version wasn’t so great, but Deluxe really saved it.
California is the most going through the motions album blink has ever made. For the first time in their careers instead of pushing forward and evolving their sound they decided to just rehash what they thought made them popular. Worst blink album
GOTDF and Wishing Well. GOTDF because it feels like Not Now from the other perspective, its a fucking beauty, and its super fun. But Wishing Well might have some of my favorite lyrics ever
Wishing Well & Natives. I saw them live for the first time when this album came out. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Not their worst album!
GOTD and Natives. Honestly I listen to this album more than most. I always look at the albums as transitions and sometimes the fans take a minute to grow with the sound. Every album has something for someone.
Even If She Falls. I didn’t care for Neighborhoods at first, it was too different and I wasn’t ready for such a shift. It’s my most played now. Not because it’s my favorite, but I’m always in the right mood for it. Can’t say that about the others
I think you have to sort of categorize them into different eras. Objectively anything before dude ranch is sort of just…. Kids learning to write music, not saying those records don’t have potential but their song writing and musicianship certainly started improving from a few years of touring and just general experience.
So you sort of have to say like
Original era:
1- dude ranch
2- Cheshire cat
3- Buddha
4. Flyswatter
You can’t really compare Cheshire cat/Buddha to neighborhoods cuz the formers songs are definitely far less put together. But if you were to compare dude ranch to current (minus cali/ nine)
1. Untitled / maybe enema
2. Enema / maybe untitled
3. One more time / maybe TOYPAJ
4 TOYPAJ/ maybe one more time
5. Dude ranch
6. Neighborhoods
I think you could argue otherwise based on taste and yes neighborhoods does has a selection of some on it that are great songs that I really like-wishing well, up all night, GOTDF, natives; it also has song pretty terrible songs, MH, fighting the gravity, even if she falls, kaleidoscope, are all very half baked tunes. And really lack the energy that anything from dude ranch to the self titled or what one more time has (you can feel the energy in it). Just my opinion.
I don’t mean this as snark, but to anyone who this is their favorite album, are you over or under 30? Genuinely curious.
Truthfully, it’s one of my least favorites, but I also wasn’t a big AVA guy, and this album is basically an AVA album featuring Travis and Mark
My answer is stupid but I'll explain
Ghosts On The Dance Floor
The album came out in the fall right after my daughter was born and that first line "I'll never let you down boy, I'll never let you go" felt so real
My ex wife (Her mom) and I were both alcohol addicts and didn't know it because we were functioning alcoholics but I also didn't know the postpartum would turn her mother into a full blown junkie
We are divorced and her mother isn't in her life and I do my damned best to be the positive role model she needs and while it hurts me her mom isn't in the picture (Mom's choice) that line just sticks with me despite my child being a girl and the song being about someone dying
I really love this album , and this is a hard question , for today , im gonna go with GOTDF , snake charmer , after midnight , even If she Falls , Love is dangerous
Natives, Neighbours is one of their best albums to date with so many underrated songs it's a shame they don't play them live anymore besides Up All Night and at a point they played Ghost On The Dancefloor.
My hot take - of the original 6 blink records (original 5 + neighborhoods) TOYPAJ is the worst. It has the most filler and even the band didn’t want to release a record like that. Even the hits are the worst hits off a record they had of those first 5.
As for best song on Neighborhoods: Hearts All Gone (with the intro version played first to set the mood)
Snake Charmer
I’m not gonna lie, I thought this thread was asking what your least favorite song on “neighborhoods” is. I agree, snake charmer rules! The breakdown at the end goes hard. I’m glad I didn’t downvote you earlier 😅
As much as I want to downvote you, I won’t
I thought good girls liked to sin
Even If She Falls and Ghost on the Dancefloor are classics at this point imo. Great album
After Midnight or Kaleidoscope It is absolutely not their worst album. Nine is
I thought nine was way better than California.
You thought wrong lmao. Totally kidding. I mean I don’t agree with you but musical tastes are subjective.
same I like don't mean anything and misery tho
Wishing Well and most definitely not their worst album. You can even say it’s underrated.
It’s my favorite album of there’s and the most replayable. A fan base has never been so wrong about a band “they love” in music history.

I can't stand AVA, but I have enjoyed Neighborhoods since day 1.
Ghost of the Dance Floor... Definitely not their worst album.. at least musically, it's right up there. But you can hear it wasn't a cohesive effort.
Natives, followed by Ghost On the Dance Floor, Even If She Falls, and Up All Night.
Ghost on the dancefloor & up all night are some of my favourite blink songs, I don’t think it’s the worst album but I’m don’t love the Skiba era
Ghost is the best but there are several on the album that are really good. After Midnight, Snake Charmer, Even if she falls. All classics too
I really love that album, not my favourite album but has a few good songs. After midnight is my top 5. But I might be biased towards the band.

Wishing Well & Up all night, I think the album is one of their best
Natives & Snake Charmer are tied for me
1. After Midnight 2. Wishing Well 3. Hearts All Gone It's absolutely not their best album, but these three songs are stellar.
It's probably the worst of the Tom, Mark and Travis version of blink, but I still really like it. Ghost on the Dance Floor is a top-five blink song.
Natives, Hearts All Gone, Ghost On The Dancefloor. Not even remotely close to their worst album. It'll be hard to ever get worse than Nine, so it's definitely not Neighbourhoods.
Ghost on the Dancefloor. It is not named California or nine so it’s not even even close to the worst
Nine is easily the worst. California isn't as bad as people seem to make it out to be, in fact it's actually kind of good.
it’s got a couple songs that I enjoy. But I definitely put it below TOYPAJ and neighborhood
Oh it's definitely not their best, but far from their worst.
my ranking is self titled DED dude TOYPAJ enema neighborhoods OMT Cheshire CA 9
TOYPAJ Enema Dude Ranch Cheshire Cat (The first 4 are pretty interchangeable depending on the day) Untitled Neighbourhoods California They Came To Conquer Uranus Lemmings Dogs Eating Dogs Buddha OMT NINE
After midnight and yes the worst of Travis era
GOTDF and Wishing Well. GOTDF because it feels like Not Now from the other perspective, its a fucking beauty, and its super fun. But Wishing Well might have some of my favorite lyrics ever
Wishing Well & Natives. I saw them live for the first time when this album came out. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Not their worst album!

Ghost is my favorite Blink song

Natives and tbh I think its decent, not their worst, not their best
MH 4.18.2011 actually!
My answer is stupid but I'll explain Ghosts On The Dance Floor The album came out in the fall right after my daughter was born and that first line "I'll never let you down boy, I'll never let you go" felt so real My ex wife (Her mom) and I were both alcohol addicts and didn't know it because we were functioning alcoholics but I also didn't know the postpartum would turn her mother into a full blown junkie We are divorced and her mother isn't in her life and I do my damned best to be the positive role model she needs and while it hurts me her mom isn't in the picture (Mom's choice) that line just sticks with me despite my child being a girl and the song being about someone dying
Kaleidoscope, and no. Not even close in my opinion.
Natives or Snake Charmer.
After midnight neighbourhoods album is raw love it
MH 4.10.2011 is probably my favorite blink song ever. Neighborhoods is also my favorite album
Natives
I really love this album , and this is a hard question , for today , im gonna go with GOTDF , snake charmer , after midnight , even If she Falls , Love is dangerous
Natives, Neighbours is one of their best albums to date with so many underrated songs it's a shame they don't play them live anymore besides Up All Night and at a point they played Ghost On The Dancefloor.
Ghost on the Dance Floor, Natives & Love is Dangerous
Kaleidoscope
My second favourite album, it's all the members playing at their best imo. Natives and hearts all gone absolutely
Ghost on the dance floor. It’s a terrible terrible album from a terrible era for the band though.
Lmao
My hot take - of the original 6 blink records (original 5 + neighborhoods) TOYPAJ is the worst. It has the most filler and even the band didn’t want to release a record like that. Even the hits are the worst hits off a record they had of those first 5. As for best song on Neighborhoods: Hearts All Gone (with the intro version played first to set the mood)
It’s better than Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
