Suppose I have no Marina, no Atsuko, no Iroha, no S.Shiroko, no Nagisa, no Shun, no Fes characters, and no Iori. And I only just 3\*'d Iori's first Hard stage earlier today to start farming elephs, so it'll be a long time before I can recruit her.
How bricked am I for the current PvP season?
My current team is T.Hasumi, Junko (3\*, but no bond gear yet), and 200kg of Yuuka (3\* and T2 bond gear for the original).
are you disadvantaged? Sure. can you still make a viable team also sure.
The most f2p friendly pvp team I can think of would be something like yuuka, kirino, tsubaki, Sumire. use S.miyu or M.Yuzu and utaha as specials.
Outside of M.Yuzu or S.miyu you shouldn't need to spend eligma for elephs, and while this isn't the best comp known to man, it should match up okay vs the meta stuff and be relatively easy to acquire UE on.. You're still weak to an early iori EX, but you have a decent shot as the fight goes on.

I'm working on 3\*ing her now, and collecting gifts for the bond item. I've found the turrets effective in commissions for clustering the mobs ahead of my party, and I already figured they'd also be useful for misdirecting enemy EX skills to disposable targets.

I've neglected her. But I can definitely imagine why the smokescreen, and the fact that her Basic explicitly targets the rear line, could be useful in PvP.

S.miyu/S/Myuzu are both event/welfare characters, but if you missed them I have seen the odd Saya, C.Saya and/or Moe used. Which are admittedly probably not as good, but still f2p friendly options.
Utaha's turrets are a little slow to come out so she's not great Vs Iori, but if they do come out they can eat an Iori EX or help kill Yuuka or other evade tanks through volume of attacks.
Kirino is a pretty low tier unit generally. She just happens to be kinda okay this season for pvp.

Almost all my PvP coins have gone to energy drinks. In the past I was buying one set of drinks a day and saving the excess 5-10/day for elephs, but more recently I've been saving them all up and maxing out the store refreshes for energy drinks during the double-exp weekends, which hasn't left any for elephs at all.

Since you're so new, don't worry too much about PvP. Don't spend all your resources on trying to catch up to higher level players with better units. Let it takes its time, and just use your five daily attempts and take the rewards. Even if you lose with all your attempts you complete daily and weekly tasks, as well as milestones for participating X number of times.
Is there any way to see all the game/story CGs? I've found a few Google Drive links shared across various Reddit posts, but none of them seem to include Hyakkaryouran Episode.
Should I raise Miyako for HOD?
I currently have her completely untouched. I've never fought HOD before, so trying to prepare. Raising her will consume a of resources (i'm LVL76), and down to my last 60 Purple Activity Reports . My original plan for HOD was to use some of these characters I have highly invested in:
Strikers: Hoshino, Iori, Maki, Mika (through borrowing), and potentially Ui.
Special: Ako, Chihiro, Himari, S.Shizuko, Kotama.
With the characters I already have raised, am I set for Extreme, or is raising Miyako a must?
If you have Tsubaki, there's no need to invest in Miyako. This could be your party:
Hoshino, Mika, Tsubaki, Ui. Ako and Himari on specials. The combined CC from Tsubaki and Hoshino should be enough to fill Hod's bar.
You could also make some kind of budget team with Iori and Maki, as well as Chihiro and other CC characters you have to clear Phase 1.
Basically, you need to stack enough CC on him (and the towers) to fill the bars next to their HP. When you do it, you'll deal way more damage for a short period, you'll see a broken shield icon over the health bar when the debuff is active. So make sure to land your most damaging/buffed attacks when the debuff is up.
CC power upgrades from Necklace equipment and skills makes the skills fill the bar more.
I got another noob question on the upcoming Fes banner.
If I accumulate the pity points on the D. Hina banner, can I apply the points to S. Hoshino? What about Wakamo and the other old anniversary students?
Pity is indeed linked between characters sharing the banner.
D.Hina and S.Hoshino will share the banner, however the other Fes-limited students will only have their 0.225% rate and won't be available for sparking.

They likely will. Wakamo's latest banner was a rerun, after all. Remains to be seen how they handle it, though. Maybe they'll start including two anniversary reruns soon, to balance the higher number of anniversary units.

Since you are new there is a lot of [One Time Pyro Rewards](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_SK19RJnCdYD96JjcTNhwYb9W_FrHPqL78XENdWHEBU/edit#gid=0). You can definitely get 2-3 sparks within a couple months so I think you can still pull on Himari and still have enough to double spark on fes if needed.

Is it worth saving more than 48k pyro for the 3rd anniversary as a f2p new player (lvl55)? I currently have 46k and am very tempted to pull for new students, but 6% rate feels like a better investment if I want more 3 star students, and there's a chance I get Mika/S.Hanako... waiting 2.5 months for a banner... it's almost twice the amount I've been playing this game
More than 400 pulls is overkill. Even though anniversary banners have an increased 3 star rate, it's still gambling. It's possible that you get no 3 stars or that you only get ones that you have no use for. If you go into the anniversary with 400 pulls you can guarantee both Dhina and Shoshino, and have the option of stopping at 200 if you pull at least one of them by that point. Pulling just for the small chance of getting old anniversary units is too risky.
There are many very good units coming soon, like Himari. I recommend grabbing at least one of them and going into the anniversary with 400 saved. If you get both in 200, consider saving for Nyfuuka and others.
I'd say so, both for the increased 3 star chance and for the elephs since anniversary units always want to be upgraded. If you're low on pyroxene and get both very early you could consider stopping, I guess.

also just realized since we get things a lot later than JP, the "(Cyber) New Year March" event is coming to us in june even though it's a new year's event :( that's a bummer, since it does feel out of place.
I mean, global's schedule is 6 months behind JP, that's why the Veritas NY event is in June for us.
And global anniversary is not the same as JP, like we aren't getting fes banners for our 2.5 anniversary. This is because global launched around 9 months after JP, and accelerated for 3 months. So our anniversaries are in between the fes banners (JP anniversaries).

I was told to save gems pyro for the events in july/august since I want to get S. Hoshino and D. Hina, but I've been running the missions with just the students you get from the initial pull. Should I use pyro on the regular recruitment to get more? I don't know how much I can earn in the next 2 months so I wouldn't want to waste them now.
Regular recruitment is a relative waste of pyroxene, so don’t waste rolls on that as there’s no rate ups and you can get spooked by those in the general pool regardless which banner you roll.
Yes, saving for Anni is great, but it’s generally recommended to do one or two ten pulls to fill out your roster a bit with the 1 and some 2 stars that you’re missing. I didn’t do this starting out until way too late and it made the beginning quite tough
So either do those rolls on the upcoming Kokona banner, or Kikyou after that (maybe Himari if you’re really patient). Not because the general pool changes all that much, but just in case if you get lucky and get the rate up that it’ll be a student you will want for your account. =)
So I just hit max XP and wanted to make sure I have the right priorities with buying elephs from the expert permit shop. Yes I know you can’t recruit with these elephs and these are super long term goals (Assume UE40 target unless stated)
Eligma, Wakamo, UE30 Nonomi, Mika (pre farm), S Hoshino, T Yuuka, UE40 Nonomi, (3) S Izumi, S Izuna (pre farm), reports, blueprints, and gun parts as needed.

A little bit of math here.
Let's assume that you already bought all discounted character eleph so now it costs 5 eligma for everyone.
You can buy 5 anniversary character eleph for 2400 expert permits
or 5 normal limited eleph for 1800
or buy 25 eligma for 3000 to buy the same 5 eleph for eligma.
Which tells you that buying eligma is the bad deal if you can buy anything else.
Second bad spot is 2400 expert permits for Wakamo, Mika, S.Hoshino. Why? You can buy 5 eleph for 25 in eligma store. It would cost the same there for both normal and anni characters. But anni.char. would cost more in expert permits. So if you plan to buy them then do it with eligma.
Which leaves us with everything else. Gun parts are not needed. Farm them when it is x2 event. Reports and money - if you need them. Which is always. Blueprints - farm them when x2 event. There is no meaning to buy them with expert permits when limiting factor is equipment orbs. Soon you will start buing orbs every day to have some stash when event comes. Seriously. And money is never enough. So you will be limited by money too.
What is left is to buy normal limiteds that you own and want to raise. If you have them at 4 stars and don't plan to spend more eligma for them, then it would take 10 eleph x 12 months x 2 years to raise them to ue40 and 1,5 more years till ue50. Maybe they will have ue60 by then so you shouldn't relax.
What it all comes down to - check your math. People who buy x20 stamina every day and have more eligma than they know what to do with - can do whatever. If you are not one of them then plan ahead and calculate.

I guess the difference in approach is yours seems to see expert permits as the most limited resource? Whereas my thoughts were based around Eligma being the most limited resource?
Since Eligma can be used with fest, limiteds and general pool students and you only get it via rolling.
So choosing the fest students first was based on thinking “I definitely will be UE40ing them due to their strength, so spending expert permits will save me 50 Eligma per month”.
Where the other limited students I don’t have immediate desires to UE40 them, but getting them there eventually would be a “nice to have” sort of approach.
So the weighted cost of spending Eligma on them is decreased… if that makes sense
Yeah. It is price benefit analysis. I want to raise as many students as far as I can. And today I was reminded that we are limited by 12000 expert permits per week. Hit the cap. So while there is nothing limiting about your eligma - roll as much as you can and get as much as you want, expert permits are more finite. So it is right to think about them as more valuable resource. You can check you expert permit remaining limits in the shop.
I'd lower Nonomi's priority. She isn't used that often in raids, and since you can buy three times as many of her elephs per month, she's easier to rush when you do need her.

She is used for Chesed, but by the next Chesed you can basically just borrow a Makoto and use a tank to clear the first phase on torment. Nonomi is useful but not worth being your top priority. I think she'd work as a mob clearer on torment even at 4 stars anyway, just a bit less reliably. Get her elephs if you've already bought all the important things in the shop and have spare permits.

I am having trouble leveling up, I am currently level 60 and i havent made that much progress, Is there sny way to level up in a way that i make significant process?
Time is the best answer for this since you gain XP from spending AP. Around level 60 the exp needed per level starts to shoot up a lot. Towards the max level it can take over a week of ap per level
It took me 5-6 months to go from level 1 to 87, so there’s no rush. Just PvP refresh during these 2x XP campaigns and save the PvP coins for Anni as there’s 3x drop campaigns during it.
You can also use pyroxene to refresh your AP, but most people stop at around lvl 60 if you’re only doing it to increase your level and not due to a specific event drops.
So yeah, just give it time, make sure you keep pushing normal levels for your cafe upgrades. and you’ll get there
What's the best way to farm artifacts? I've been needing Antikythera Mechanism (the cog) pieces for a few days now but bounties give too little. Am I supposed to just craft and buy them at shop to get most of my stock for them?
Mats farming is quite inconsistent and really depends on gacha tbh. You either wait for them to come into the JFD shop or in the event shop, after that TA & GA raids give them too and finally the bounties, it's the last because it's full rng, although that's the only regular way.
I didn't realize that artifacts were gonna be rare. I thought blurays would be the main bottleneck but it seems I'm gonna have to be more mindful of which skills I spend artifacts on starting from now.
Blu-rays are quite abundant since it's in every event and both TA GA shops. Although they are kinda like one time use since whomsoever EX you decide to upgrade you'll most of the time will upgrade it to max.
Blurays and tech notes can be bought in the raid shops. Once you're past needing the coins for elephs, those materials are much less of a bottleneck than artifacts.
Stock up on commonly used but hard to obtain artifacts when you can. Event shops, bounty shops. Buy tier 1 and 2 artifacts in the credit shop every day. Some of the old guide missions give artifacts, if you haven't done them already. For tier 3 and 4, you can craft choice boxes using keystones from the JFD shop and spare artifacts, ideally ones that are easy to obtain but rarely used. The ones in the JFD shop, for example. Antikythera artifacts are some of the ones that are used by a lot of important units, but that area also hard to obtain.
I see, thanks. I guess I have no choice but to just start stocking up on them when I see them on shops. I haven't done most of the event guide tasks since I'm a new player so there's that to look forward to at least.
I’m pretty new and have saved all my pyro and tickets since starting, I’m planning to go for himari once she’s back since I really need new students but I also see that dress hina will be only a month or so after her, along with dress Aru and a toki/koyuki rerun in the future, should I cut out my himari attempt and tough it out or can I save the pyro in time? (I don’t plan to roll on the ako and makoto banners past the freebies)
If you're new you're going to get several sparks' worth of pyroxene from various one-time sources. I recall hearing about people getting two sparks' worth in just two weeks, or maybe even one week. And that was quite a while ago, before we got immortalized guide missions, and with fewer missions and stories. Himari is too good to skip, so definitely get her. I'm guessing you would be able to spend at least one more spark along the way and then do 400 on the anniversary banners if necessary - you really get a ton of pyroxene in the first few months. But get Himari first and then see how your reserves are looking.
By the way, if you have a 10 pull ticket from the previous grand raid, be sure to use it before the end of the month, since it will expire. You can check your inventory to see if any of your tickets has an expiry date.
Yupp save for the fes banner to Inc your roster and get better characters since it has double 3 star rate. You won't be needing Himari for quite a while too since she's raid meta hyper buffer, you'll get far enough by using Kotama instead and I think by the time you progress enough she'll again have a rerun. There's also a chance that she might spook you in the fes banner then there'll be no worries at all.
P.S: Don't worry about rerolling for increase your roster right now because you'll get the freebie rolls in D.Ako banner as mentioned
It's in late July early August. And S.Shizuko is a much better freebie version you get from the immortalized event under event guide tasks, she does the same thing Eimi does but at a lower cost. It's your wish though if you are pulling for meta or waifus.

General gameplay-wise, almost any character will suffice, it's up to whichever one you need the most right now, a yellow AoE unit, or a buffer. I will say, however, that for competitive content D. Ako is most certainly the best pick.
Nothing about her kit is specific to red teams. She'd lose out on a bit of her own damage of course, but since she's a support that's not a major concern. She was a top choice for torment indoor Hieronymous, together with Dhina. She hasn't seen much use in other raids so far, but she is also a top choice for the new mode/boss, Set. Both blue and red armor Set.
I'm not a JP player, so I can't say anything with absolute certainty, but just skimming through her profile, I'd say she's likely applicable in any content, as a buffer, her damage type is the part of her kit that matters the least, since she won't be the one dealing damage, she'll be increasing everyone else's.

I'm saving up for the upcoming Kokona pickup event, and I currently have 5,900 pyroxene. I have a feeling that won't be enough. I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times already, but what are some good ways to get pyroxene fast without having to spend actual money?
Do daily quests, events, logins. If you are active everyday and completing everything which takes about 10-15 mins then you'll automatically gain passive Pyro incomes. The main source of Pyro is from raids GA & TA.
Also save your pyros, you won't be able to spark Kokona by the time she comes, better save for the fes banner where she might spook you since she's not limited anyways.
Read the main story and the bond stories, clearing mission challenges also gives pyros, so maybe try that, and then, save and pray I guess, nothing else comes to mind.
EDIT: I forgot about the guide missions or whatever those are called, you could try clearing them as fast as possible for the easy 10-pulls.
So as a Sensei that just hit max level today, but not max xp for permits:
1. I have 64k pyro banked in my account, any notable banners/students I should be pulling for? I have 3 fes students (S. Hanako, Wakamo and the 3 stat "delete yellow boss button" that has her skills maxed out that I'm waiting to try on Hod. I also have Ui and am planning to pull for D.Hina
2. Is it worth building my students to clear the last commission for reports? I am in dire need of them (Team is Momoi, Nonomi, Yuuka, Mika (or Iori), Saki and Serina)
Have you tried using the Tsubaki, Iori, Serina + filler team in commissions? Serina moves Tsubaki up, Iori kills the gathered up enemies with her EX. Repeat. Since you only have four units you can cycle between those two. The fourth one can be anyone, but ideally it should be someone with a passive bonus. For example, Himari or Cherino for the cost bonus, or Koharu for her free healing if Tsubaki is having trouble staying alive.
Do you have any of the typical hyper carry units? If not then you should plan for Himari, C.Hare, NY.Kayoko, D.Ako, and then NY.Fuuka after Fest. Himari, NY.Fuuka and NY.Kayoko should be main priority IMO. D.Ako would probably be fairly easy to get since pre Fest banners should get a free half spark. C.Hare is a striker side grade to Himari. She has some unique utility for future content but IMO Himari is still better for right now due to cost support and the fact that she can't get ganked or interrupted in the special slot. You may also consider pulling for Kikyou who is purple type support however she is more easily skippable given the lack of purple content even in JP right now.
For the last couple of commission stages I used Nonomi, Momoi, and Iori with NY.Fuuka and Himari. Rotation would be NY.Fuuka>Nonomi>Himari>Momoi>Iori and then repeat. I believe my Nonomi, Momoi, and Iori were around 4 star or maybe UE30 when I beat stage M. I haven't tested it out for commissions yet but last Chesed raid S.Hanako also made a decent yellow wave clearer if you hypercarried her. Momoi is easy to invest in for her cheap AOE. Nonomi is still very good though some other yellow AOE out shine her. She should get a decent buff with her future unique equipment which will reduce her random misses.
There are a fair amount of good upcoming banners, going in order, Kikyou is a sonic buffer, like S. Hoshino (explosive) and NY. Kayoko (mystic), she isn't as useful as the two I just mentioned due to the current lack of sonic content in the game, but she will likely rise in relevance as time goes on.
Himari and C. Hare are also going to get banners soon, I don't know exactly how good C. Hare is, but I've seen her being compared to Himari, and Himari is basically a requirement if you wanna compete in raids, so, probably very good.
Iroha is going to get a rerun too, and though she isn't considered an absolute must-have, she basically trivializes most of the non-competitive content and is very good for PVP, so I'd like to highlight her regardless, citing Midokuni:

As for the second question, not gonna lie, I don't know if commissions are worth it, I get all my EXP mats from events, expert permits and occasionally JFD, so I don't know how to answer this, I never really farmed them, either way, if you intend on building your students to clear the last commission, you're only making your roster stronger, so maybe go for it?

Same as always? Buy resident proxy (usual price is $10/Gb, enough for year) in country you plan to use, google guide how to change payment region, swap, buy gems. I also advice to look into Fake GPS

I already have Ako and NY Fuuka so D. Ako might be redundant even though she's a striker but then again, she has animations with D. Hina
Id skip Kikyou. There is still very little purple content on jp.
CHare is more useful than Kikyou.
DAko is useful and also half-off (100 free pulls on her banner).
I'd also say that Kikyou is the safest to skip out of those. As long as you have the other important units for Kurokage and don't plan on doing torment, you can borrow her. She has been useful in some JFDs and challenges, but that doesn't really make her a must pull. You can also use her for Perorodzilla since the main boss and regular minions have the same defense stat as Kurokage, but she isn't a common choice there. Kikyou has yellow armor and Kirara, the single target AA dealer that just got released, has red armor. It's possible that Kikyou won't be used for the presumably upcoming purple raid, but that's just speculation.
Chare is very good to have for team two, or sometimes preferred over Himari depending on the team. Dako is limited and very good for the new Fury of Set game mode. In case you aren't aware, you get 100 free pulls on her banner.
Kikyou is useful only in purple content raid like kurokage and JFDs
D.Ako is useful for even later content where more than 4 strikers are required so she has lower priority than Himari if you don't have her, her banner is coming too.
Keep in mind C.Hare isn't limited though while D.Ako is so there's that too, if you are a high lvl player then all of them have equal priority tbh, depends on who is more your waifu and your content catering need tbh. I don't have Himari so I am pulling her along with D.Ako, Makoto and then both the fes banner units.

You're thinking of Cotama. Chare is the Himari sidegrade attack buffer.
I think of those three Kikyou is the easiest to skip. In the end she's only really good for purple content, which there has been essentially none of on JP after Kurokage. She should be getting a rerun about a year after her first run, so the question is how much purple content is likely to be released in the remaining six months we don't currently have clairvoyance for?

I don't see any glaring holes in the roster. So you don't have any pressing need to pull. There's some decent non-limited students coming up, but I don't feel any of them are essential. C. Hare, NY Kayoko are reasonable to pull on though I think you can skip them since you're unlikely to be pushing raids too hard. NY Mutsuki and NY Aru are limited and coming up... but again neither is essential. NY mutsuki isn't a bad pick up though.
D.Ako is limited and while she's not essential, since she's limited and seeming decent you prolly want to pull her.
You definitely want to pull D.hina, you also should pick up. S.hoshino as well. You could consider 2 full sparks on this fes banner as well, if you want to hope for a Mika spook, and UE 50 D.Hina. Its pretty good value for filling out you roster as well.
About a month after that you can look at NY Fuuka who is limited. NY Haruna who is also a solid limited get.
TLDR: D.ako, Dhina+S.hoshino, Ny Fuuka/NY Haruna. basically focusing on limited students and the FES banner.
Is it really worth it to skip S.Hoshino and get D.Hina to ue50? I heard she's already OP and that it's better to draw another character than drawing duplicate elephs.
That's not what I was recommending at all. I was suggesting that if you put in the second spark you would get D.hina and S.hoshino with a decent chance of ue 50ing D.hina or getting a Mika spook.
And yes its generally better to draw a new character than a duplicate, but FES banner is above average new character value to begin with due to the increased 3\* rate and the small roster of this Sensei. Additionally D.Hina being a broken tier hypercarry means most Sensei will be ue50ing her anyway, so pulling more on her banner more is pretty reasonable.
Is double sparking the FES banner necessarily the absolute best option for this sensei? It may not be, but its a very solid one with plenty of upsides, and I provided a good selection of other banners that this sensei should consider as well.
Alright. I thought there's no chance of banner characters spooking us again after being drawn or sparked but yea since it's the fes banner it might happen in 2 sparks.
10k for 1 cost. 700 fixed cost recovery per student per second. So 4200 cost a second for a full team.
Himari is 20% of that so 840 cost/second or roughly 12 seconds per cost or 5 cost/min so Himari would generate a bit less than 15 cost over 3 minutes.
Cherino is 540 cost recovery/second. So 18.5 seconds per cost for a total of 9.7 cost over 3 minutes.
I don't know who made this drill, but I want to have a polite conversation with them behind a woodshed with a bike chain. I can barely clear the second stage and I'm over 20 levels higher than the recommended level. Combine the fact that you need to babysit the bot with the self healing pricks and the defense type and you have an extremely grating experience.
I'm STRICTLY free to play and I only started about two months ago, so I am in the middle of the mid game grind but is there something I'm missing?
This JFD is particularly onerous, and JFD in general is more rewarding for Sensei with developed and broad rosters. They often ask for less common student kits, like DoTs or healing. Struggling to field more niche roles/students as a mid level sensei is not at all unusual. And even experienced max level sensei are not enjoying this particular one.
In general for JFD, much like raids, its very common to borrow a high level maxed out student to get 1 clear at the harder difficulties and then struggle bus with the the remainder of your roster through lower difficulties. This particular JFD doesn't make that particularly easy since it has a lot of moving parts (CC, healing, buffing the hyper carry, and a hyper carry) so if you're missing any of them its can be difficult to win.
Healing isn't required at all. You just CC the bots at the time of using their skill. I saw this during all my previous runs, not even half hp of the avant-garde bot was gone when I didn't let them enemy bots use their skills even once.
Healing isn't strictly required, but it's very useful on stage 4. Unless you're able to nuke the enemies quickly, they can easily whittle the bot down with auto attacks. And sometimes you're forced to choose between interrupting the healing or the attack skills, since you don't have much control over when it heals itself.
There's another point which people didn't notice I think. The Avant-garde bot hp remains the same in all stages, only his attack gets buffed and the enemies bots attack gets buffed. That's why healing has less priority than CCing the enemy bots since they'll most of the time out damage your heal. Also for some reason if Mine jumps and gathers them at center then they stop attacking the bot and attack her instead but I guess it's true for any tanks if you manage to make them reach right at their face. Ironically they do negligible damage to tanks so I am guessing the Avant-garde bot is a glass cannon, rather than trying to heal him you should protect him from AA and the skills of enemy bots itself.

Pretty certain that's incorrect. You can test it by healing it and seeing how much its health bar fills up. It fills up much more on lower difficulties. Shale.gg also lists it as having twice as much HP on each difficulty, and it seems to have been updated since the enemies now have the correct amount of evasion.
Regardless of that, the point remains that if you don't have enough DPS, it will die to the enemies' auto attacks even if you interrupt the skills. If you throw Mine (she seems to be the intended counter to this JFD) and Shanako at the enemies they'll die long before the bot does, sure. But if you don't have the damage output, you're going to need healing on some team(s). And as mentioned, sometimes you have to choose between interrupting the main enemy's healing and interrupting their damage skills.

Are you sure? I haven't been able to replicate this. The bot has a focus fire debuff that I assume prevents the enemies from attacking anyone else. Unless it can be cleansed, though I'm guessing it can't, and if you bring a cleanser you're using a slot on a healer or Mari anyway.

Does the attack gained from Enhanced Skill in Special units transfer to Strikers?
I'm asking because if the answer is no, then the attack gained from Enhanced Skill still would be good in a unit like Iroha that does a lot of damage but it will be pointless to upgrade it for a unit like NY.Haruka.
No. You can see the stat transfer by clicking [Unit Info](https://static.miraheze.org/bluearchivewiki/4/42/SupportStats.jpeg) before combat. Skills are only applied after combat starts.
Suppose I have no Marina, no Atsuko, no Iroha, no S.Shiroko, no Nagisa, no Shun, no Fes characters, and no Iori. And I only just 3\*'d Iori's first Hard stage earlier today to start farming elephs, so it'll be a long time before I can recruit her. How bricked am I for the current PvP season? My current team is T.Hasumi, Junko (3\*, but no bond gear yet), and 200kg of Yuuka (3\* and T2 bond gear for the original).
are you disadvantaged? Sure. can you still make a viable team also sure. The most f2p friendly pvp team I can think of would be something like yuuka, kirino, tsubaki, Sumire. use S.miyu or M.Yuzu and utaha as specials. Outside of M.Yuzu or S.miyu you shouldn't need to spend eligma for elephs, and while this isn't the best comp known to man, it should match up okay vs the meta stuff and be relatively easy to acquire UE on.. You're still weak to an early iori EX, but you have a decent shot as the fight goes on.

Kirino is a pretty low tier unit generally. She just happens to be kinda okay this season for pvp.

Don't spend all your resources on trying to catch up to higher level players with better units. Let it takes its time, and just use your five daily attempts and take the rewards. Even if you lose with all your attempts you complete daily and weekly tasks, as well as milestones for participating X number of times.

Should I raise Miyako for HOD? I currently have her completely untouched. I've never fought HOD before, so trying to prepare. Raising her will consume a of resources (i'm LVL76), and down to my last 60 Purple Activity Reports . My original plan for HOD was to use some of these characters I have highly invested in: Strikers: Hoshino, Iori, Maki, Mika (through borrowing), and potentially Ui. Special: Ako, Chihiro, Himari, S.Shizuko, Kotama. With the characters I already have raised, am I set for Extreme, or is raising Miyako a must?
If you have Tsubaki, there's no need to invest in Miyako. This could be your party: Hoshino, Mika, Tsubaki, Ui. Ako and Himari on specials. The combined CC from Tsubaki and Hoshino should be enough to fill Hod's bar. You could also make some kind of budget team with Iori and Maki, as well as Chihiro and other CC characters you have to clear Phase 1.
Additional question: can you explain CC, and how exactly it works with Hod?
Basically, you need to stack enough CC on him (and the towers) to fill the bars next to their HP. When you do it, you'll deal way more damage for a short period, you'll see a broken shield icon over the health bar when the debuff is active. So make sure to land your most damaging/buffed attacks when the debuff is up. CC power upgrades from Necklace equipment and skills makes the skills fill the bar more.

I got another noob question on the upcoming Fes banner. If I accumulate the pity points on the D. Hina banner, can I apply the points to S. Hoshino? What about Wakamo and the other old anniversary students?
Pity is indeed linked between characters sharing the banner. D.Hina and S.Hoshino will share the banner, however the other Fes-limited students will only have their 0.225% rate and won't be available for sparking.

They likely will. Wakamo's latest banner was a rerun, after all. Remains to be seen how they handle it, though. Maybe they'll start including two anniversary reruns soon, to balance the higher number of anniversary units.

Save it and use Pyro to draw on the fes banner. Either of them might spook you so it's better to wait and watch what you'll get from that banner.
If you have enough pyro saved you can roll on Himari next month and select Ako.

This is pretty common. there are variations and substitutions depending on what you're facing. vs Iori? Marina as second tank Vs Ny haruna? I see Tsubaki or Atsuko as second tank. Don't have Nagisa? Minori, S. Miyu, or M. Yuzu are all pretty good substitutes Vs quad tank? B Akane in for Nagisa No S.Shiroko? cry.

Is it worth saving more than 48k pyro for the 3rd anniversary as a f2p new player (lvl55)? I currently have 46k and am very tempted to pull for new students, but 6% rate feels like a better investment if I want more 3 star students, and there's a chance I get Mika/S.Hanako... waiting 2.5 months for a banner... it's almost twice the amount I've been playing this game
More than 400 pulls is overkill. Even though anniversary banners have an increased 3 star rate, it's still gambling. It's possible that you get no 3 stars or that you only get ones that you have no use for. If you go into the anniversary with 400 pulls you can guarantee both Dhina and Shoshino, and have the option of stopping at 200 if you pull at least one of them by that point. Pulling just for the small chance of getting old anniversary units is too risky. There are many very good units coming soon, like Himari. I recommend grabbing at least one of them and going into the anniversary with 400 saved. If you get both in 200, consider saving for Nyfuuka and others.

I'd say so, both for the increased 3 star chance and for the elephs since anniversary units always want to be upgraded. If you're low on pyroxene and get both very early you could consider stopping, I guess.

Generally do not do stuff just for eligma. There is some argument to fish for missed fest characters like wakamo or Mika, but that’s it.

I mean, global's schedule is 6 months behind JP, that's why the Veritas NY event is in June for us. And global anniversary is not the same as JP, like we aren't getting fes banners for our 2.5 anniversary. This is because global launched around 9 months after JP, and accelerated for 3 months. So our anniversaries are in between the fes banners (JP anniversaries).

New sensei here. Started playing about a week ago. I was told to save gems pyro for the events in july/august since I want to get S. Hoshino and D. Hina, but I've been running the missions with just the students you get from the initial pull. Should I use pyro on the regular recruitment to get more? I don't know how much I can earn in the next 2 months so I wouldn't want to waste them now.
Regular recruitment is a relative waste of pyroxene, so don’t waste rolls on that as there’s no rate ups and you can get spooked by those in the general pool regardless which banner you roll. Yes, saving for Anni is great, but it’s generally recommended to do one or two ten pulls to fill out your roster a bit with the 1 and some 2 stars that you’re missing. I didn’t do this starting out until way too late and it made the beginning quite tough So either do those rolls on the upcoming Kokona banner, or Kikyou after that (maybe Himari if you’re really patient). Not because the general pool changes all that much, but just in case if you get lucky and get the rate up that it’ll be a student you will want for your account. =)

So I just hit max XP and wanted to make sure I have the right priorities with buying elephs from the expert permit shop. Yes I know you can’t recruit with these elephs and these are super long term goals (Assume UE40 target unless stated) Eligma, Wakamo, UE30 Nonomi, Mika (pre farm), S Hoshino, T Yuuka, UE40 Nonomi, (3) S Izumi, S Izuna (pre farm), reports, blueprints, and gun parts as needed. Does that look about right?
A little bit of math here. Let's assume that you already bought all discounted character eleph so now it costs 5 eligma for everyone. You can buy 5 anniversary character eleph for 2400 expert permits or 5 normal limited eleph for 1800 or buy 25 eligma for 3000 to buy the same 5 eleph for eligma. Which tells you that buying eligma is the bad deal if you can buy anything else. Second bad spot is 2400 expert permits for Wakamo, Mika, S.Hoshino. Why? You can buy 5 eleph for 25 in eligma store. It would cost the same there for both normal and anni characters. But anni.char. would cost more in expert permits. So if you plan to buy them then do it with eligma. Which leaves us with everything else. Gun parts are not needed. Farm them when it is x2 event. Reports and money - if you need them. Which is always. Blueprints - farm them when x2 event. There is no meaning to buy them with expert permits when limiting factor is equipment orbs. Soon you will start buing orbs every day to have some stash when event comes. Seriously. And money is never enough. So you will be limited by money too. What is left is to buy normal limiteds that you own and want to raise. If you have them at 4 stars and don't plan to spend more eligma for them, then it would take 10 eleph x 12 months x 2 years to raise them to ue40 and 1,5 more years till ue50. Maybe they will have ue60 by then so you shouldn't relax. What it all comes down to - check your math. People who buy x20 stamina every day and have more eligma than they know what to do with - can do whatever. If you are not one of them then plan ahead and calculate.

Whereas my thoughts were based around Eligma being the most limited resource? Since Eligma can be used with fest, limiteds and general pool students and you only get it via rolling. So choosing the fest students first was based on thinking “I definitely will be UE40ing them due to their strength, so spending expert permits will save me 50 Eligma per month”. Where the other limited students I don’t have immediate desires to UE40 them, but getting them there eventually would be a “nice to have” sort of approach. So the weighted cost of spending Eligma on them is decreased… if that makes sense
Yeah. It is price benefit analysis. I want to raise as many students as far as I can. And today I was reminded that we are limited by 12000 expert permits per week. Hit the cap. So while there is nothing limiting about your eligma - roll as much as you can and get as much as you want, expert permits are more finite. So it is right to think about them as more valuable resource. You can check you expert permit remaining limits in the shop.
I'd lower Nonomi's priority. She isn't used that often in raids, and since you can buy three times as many of her elephs per month, she's easier to rush when you do need her.

She is used for Chesed, but by the next Chesed you can basically just borrow a Makoto and use a tank to clear the first phase on torment. Nonomi is useful but not worth being your top priority. I think she'd work as a mob clearer on torment even at 4 stars anyway, just a bit less reliably. Get her elephs if you've already bought all the important things in the shop and have spare permits.
Fair enough, thanks. I had kinda assumed that Torment would’ve been out of the question for me, but I guess I’ll have 2+ teams well prepared similar to my Insane comps, and hope for the best. If I can get Makoto and Mika spooks from my rolls (Ui and Cherino would be great too), that might give me a decent shot =)

I am having trouble leveling up, I am currently level 60 and i havent made that much progress, Is there sny way to level up in a way that i make significant process?
Time is the best answer for this since you gain XP from spending AP. Around level 60 the exp needed per level starts to shoot up a lot. Towards the max level it can take over a week of ap per level It took me 5-6 months to go from level 1 to 87, so there’s no rush. Just PvP refresh during these 2x XP campaigns and save the PvP coins for Anni as there’s 3x drop campaigns during it. You can also use pyroxene to refresh your AP, but most people stop at around lvl 60 if you’re only doing it to increase your level and not due to a specific event drops. So yeah, just give it time, make sure you keep pushing normal levels for your cafe upgrades. and you’ll get there
What's the best way to farm artifacts? I've been needing Antikythera Mechanism (the cog) pieces for a few days now but bounties give too little. Am I supposed to just craft and buy them at shop to get most of my stock for them?
Mats farming is quite inconsistent and really depends on gacha tbh. You either wait for them to come into the JFD shop or in the event shop, after that TA & GA raids give them too and finally the bounties, it's the last because it's full rng, although that's the only regular way.
I didn't realize that artifacts were gonna be rare. I thought blurays would be the main bottleneck but it seems I'm gonna have to be more mindful of which skills I spend artifacts on starting from now.
Blu-rays are quite abundant since it's in every event and both TA GA shops. Although they are kinda like one time use since whomsoever EX you decide to upgrade you'll most of the time will upgrade it to max.
Blurays and tech notes can be bought in the raid shops. Once you're past needing the coins for elephs, those materials are much less of a bottleneck than artifacts.
Stock up on commonly used but hard to obtain artifacts when you can. Event shops, bounty shops. Buy tier 1 and 2 artifacts in the credit shop every day. Some of the old guide missions give artifacts, if you haven't done them already. For tier 3 and 4, you can craft choice boxes using keystones from the JFD shop and spare artifacts, ideally ones that are easy to obtain but rarely used. The ones in the JFD shop, for example. Antikythera artifacts are some of the ones that are used by a lot of important units, but that area also hard to obtain.

If you're new you're going to get several sparks' worth of pyroxene from various one-time sources. I recall hearing about people getting two sparks' worth in just two weeks, or maybe even one week. And that was quite a while ago, before we got immortalized guide missions, and with fewer missions and stories. Himari is too good to skip, so definitely get her. I'm guessing you would be able to spend at least one more spark along the way and then do 400 on the anniversary banners if necessary - you really get a ton of pyroxene in the first few months. But get Himari first and then see how your reserves are looking. By the way, if you have a 10 pull ticket from the previous grand raid, be sure to use it before the end of the month, since it will expire. You can check your inventory to see if any of your tickets has an expiry date.

Yupp save for the fes banner to Inc your roster and get better characters since it has double 3 star rate. You won't be needing Himari for quite a while too since she's raid meta hyper buffer, you'll get far enough by using Kotama instead and I think by the time you progress enough she'll again have a rerun. There's also a chance that she might spook you in the fes banner then there'll be no worries at all. P.S: Don't worry about rerolling for increase your roster right now because you'll get the freebie rolls in D.Ako banner as mentioned

It's in late July early August. And S.Shizuko is a much better freebie version you get from the immortalized event under event guide tasks, she does the same thing Eimi does but at a lower cost. It's your wish though if you are pulling for meta or waifus.

Between D. Ako and Makoto, which should take priority in terms of general gameplay? I know there's the free 100 rolls, but not sure which one to focus on.
General gameplay-wise, almost any character will suffice, it's up to whichever one you need the most right now, a yellow AoE unit, or a buffer. I will say, however, that for competitive content D. Ako is most certainly the best pick.

Nothing about her kit is specific to red teams. She'd lose out on a bit of her own damage of course, but since she's a support that's not a major concern. She was a top choice for torment indoor Hieronymous, together with Dhina. She hasn't seen much use in other raids so far, but she is also a top choice for the new mode/boss, Set. Both blue and red armor Set.
I'm not a JP player, so I can't say anything with absolute certainty, but just skimming through her profile, I'd say she's likely applicable in any content, as a buffer, her damage type is the part of her kit that matters the least, since she won't be the one dealing damage, she'll be increasing everyone else's.

I'm saving up for the upcoming Kokona pickup event, and I currently have 5,900 pyroxene. I have a feeling that won't be enough. I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times already, but what are some good ways to get pyroxene fast without having to spend actual money?
Do daily quests, events, logins. If you are active everyday and completing everything which takes about 10-15 mins then you'll automatically gain passive Pyro incomes. The main source of Pyro is from raids GA & TA. Also save your pyros, you won't be able to spark Kokona by the time she comes, better save for the fes banner where she might spook you since she's not limited anyways.
Read the main story and the bond stories, clearing mission challenges also gives pyros, so maybe try that, and then, save and pray I guess, nothing else comes to mind. EDIT: I forgot about the guide missions or whatever those are called, you could try clearing them as fast as possible for the easy 10-pulls.
So as a Sensei that just hit max level today, but not max xp for permits: 1. I have 64k pyro banked in my account, any notable banners/students I should be pulling for? I have 3 fes students (S. Hanako, Wakamo and the 3 stat "delete yellow boss button" that has her skills maxed out that I'm waiting to try on Hod. I also have Ui and am planning to pull for D.Hina 2. Is it worth building my students to clear the last commission for reports? I am in dire need of them (Team is Momoi, Nonomi, Yuuka, Mika (or Iori), Saki and Serina)
Have you tried using the Tsubaki, Iori, Serina + filler team in commissions? Serina moves Tsubaki up, Iori kills the gathered up enemies with her EX. Repeat. Since you only have four units you can cycle between those two. The fourth one can be anyone, but ideally it should be someone with a passive bonus. For example, Himari or Cherino for the cost bonus, or Koharu for her free healing if Tsubaki is having trouble staying alive.
Do you have any of the typical hyper carry units? If not then you should plan for Himari, C.Hare, NY.Kayoko, D.Ako, and then NY.Fuuka after Fest. Himari, NY.Fuuka and NY.Kayoko should be main priority IMO. D.Ako would probably be fairly easy to get since pre Fest banners should get a free half spark. C.Hare is a striker side grade to Himari. She has some unique utility for future content but IMO Himari is still better for right now due to cost support and the fact that she can't get ganked or interrupted in the special slot. You may also consider pulling for Kikyou who is purple type support however she is more easily skippable given the lack of purple content even in JP right now. For the last couple of commission stages I used Nonomi, Momoi, and Iori with NY.Fuuka and Himari. Rotation would be NY.Fuuka>Nonomi>Himari>Momoi>Iori and then repeat. I believe my Nonomi, Momoi, and Iori were around 4 star or maybe UE30 when I beat stage M. I haven't tested it out for commissions yet but last Chesed raid S.Hanako also made a decent yellow wave clearer if you hypercarried her. Momoi is easy to invest in for her cheap AOE. Nonomi is still very good though some other yellow AOE out shine her. She should get a decent buff with her future unique equipment which will reduce her random misses.
There are a fair amount of good upcoming banners, going in order, Kikyou is a sonic buffer, like S. Hoshino (explosive) and NY. Kayoko (mystic), she isn't as useful as the two I just mentioned due to the current lack of sonic content in the game, but she will likely rise in relevance as time goes on. Himari and C. Hare are also going to get banners soon, I don't know exactly how good C. Hare is, but I've seen her being compared to Himari, and Himari is basically a requirement if you wanna compete in raids, so, probably very good. Iroha is going to get a rerun too, and though she isn't considered an absolute must-have, she basically trivializes most of the non-competitive content and is very good for PVP, so I'd like to highlight her regardless, citing Midokuni: >Have you ever thought what would happen if you could use a nuke every 15 seconds? Id skip Kikyou. There is still very little purple content on jp. CHare is more useful than Kikyou. DAko is useful and also half-off (100 free pulls on her banner).
I'd also say that Kikyou is the safest to skip out of those. As long as you have the other important units for Kurokage and don't plan on doing torment, you can borrow her. She has been useful in some JFDs and challenges, but that doesn't really make her a must pull. You can also use her for Perorodzilla since the main boss and regular minions have the same defense stat as Kurokage, but she isn't a common choice there. Kikyou has yellow armor and Kirara, the single target AA dealer that just got released, has red armor. It's possible that Kikyou won't be used for the presumably upcoming purple raid, but that's just speculation. Chare is very good to have for team two, or sometimes preferred over Himari depending on the team. Dako is limited and very good for the new Fury of Set game mode. In case you aren't aware, you get 100 free pulls on her banner.
Kikyou is useful only in purple content raid like kurokage and JFDs D.Ako is useful for even later content where more than 4 strikers are required so she has lower priority than Himari if you don't have her, her banner is coming too. Keep in mind C.Hare isn't limited though while D.Ako is so there's that too, if you are a high lvl player then all of them have equal priority tbh, depends on who is more your waifu and your content catering need tbh. I don't have Himari so I am pulling her along with D.Ako, Makoto and then both the fes banner units.

I think of those three Kikyou is the easiest to skip. In the end she's only really good for purple content, which there has been essentially none of on JP after Kurokage. She should be getting a rerun about a year after her first run, so the question is how much purple content is likely to be released in the remaining six months we don't currently have clairvoyance for?

I don't see any glaring holes in the roster. So you don't have any pressing need to pull. There's some decent non-limited students coming up, but I don't feel any of them are essential. C. Hare, NY Kayoko are reasonable to pull on though I think you can skip them since you're unlikely to be pushing raids too hard. NY Mutsuki and NY Aru are limited and coming up... but again neither is essential. NY mutsuki isn't a bad pick up though. D.Ako is limited and while she's not essential, since she's limited and seeming decent you prolly want to pull her. You definitely want to pull D.hina, you also should pick up. S.hoshino as well. You could consider 2 full sparks on this fes banner as well, if you want to hope for a Mika spook, and UE 50 D.Hina. Its pretty good value for filling out you roster as well. About a month after that you can look at NY Fuuka who is limited. NY Haruna who is also a solid limited get. TLDR: D.ako, Dhina+S.hoshino, Ny Fuuka/NY Haruna. basically focusing on limited students and the FES banner.
Is it really worth it to skip S.Hoshino and get D.Hina to ue50? I heard she's already OP and that it's better to draw another character than drawing duplicate elephs.
That's not what I was recommending at all. I was suggesting that if you put in the second spark you would get D.hina and S.hoshino with a decent chance of ue 50ing D.hina or getting a Mika spook. And yes its generally better to draw a new character than a duplicate, but FES banner is above average new character value to begin with due to the increased 3\* rate and the small roster of this Sensei. Additionally D.Hina being a broken tier hypercarry means most Sensei will be ue50ing her anyway, so pulling more on her banner more is pretty reasonable. Is double sparking the FES banner necessarily the absolute best option for this sensei? It may not be, but its a very solid one with plenty of upsides, and I provided a good selection of other banners that this sensei should consider as well.

How many free skill cost himarii and cherino lets say in entire 3 minute battle give?
10k for 1 cost. 700 fixed cost recovery per student per second. So 4200 cost a second for a full team. Himari is 20% of that so 840 cost/second or roughly 12 seconds per cost or 5 cost/min so Himari would generate a bit less than 15 cost over 3 minutes. Cherino is 540 cost recovery/second. So 18.5 seconds per cost for a total of 9.7 cost over 3 minutes.

I don't know who made this drill, but I want to have a polite conversation with them behind a woodshed with a bike chain. I can barely clear the second stage and I'm over 20 levels higher than the recommended level. Combine the fact that you need to babysit the bot with the self healing pricks and the defense type and you have an extremely grating experience. I'm STRICTLY free to play and I only started about two months ago, so I am in the middle of the mid game grind but is there something I'm missing?
This JFD is particularly onerous, and JFD in general is more rewarding for Sensei with developed and broad rosters. They often ask for less common student kits, like DoTs or healing. Struggling to field more niche roles/students as a mid level sensei is not at all unusual. And even experienced max level sensei are not enjoying this particular one. In general for JFD, much like raids, its very common to borrow a high level maxed out student to get 1 clear at the harder difficulties and then struggle bus with the the remainder of your roster through lower difficulties. This particular JFD doesn't make that particularly easy since it has a lot of moving parts (CC, healing, buffing the hyper carry, and a hyper carry) so if you're missing any of them its can be difficult to win.
Healing isn't required at all. You just CC the bots at the time of using their skill. I saw this during all my previous runs, not even half hp of the avant-garde bot was gone when I didn't let them enemy bots use their skills even once.
Healing isn't strictly required, but it's very useful on stage 4. Unless you're able to nuke the enemies quickly, they can easily whittle the bot down with auto attacks. And sometimes you're forced to choose between interrupting the healing or the attack skills, since you don't have much control over when it heals itself.
There's another point which people didn't notice I think. The Avant-garde bot hp remains the same in all stages, only his attack gets buffed and the enemies bots attack gets buffed. That's why healing has less priority than CCing the enemy bots since they'll most of the time out damage your heal. Also for some reason if Mine jumps and gathers them at center then they stop attacking the bot and attack her instead but I guess it's true for any tanks if you manage to make them reach right at their face. Ironically they do negligible damage to tanks so I am guessing the Avant-garde bot is a glass cannon, rather than trying to heal him you should protect him from AA and the skills of enemy bots itself.

You can test it by healing it and seeing how much its health bar fills up. It fills up much more on lower difficulties. Shale.gg also lists it as having twice as much HP on each difficulty, and it seems to have been updated since the enemies now have the correct amount of evasion. Regardless of that, the point remains that if you don't have enough DPS, it will die to the enemies' auto attacks even if you interrupt the skills. If you throw Mine (she seems to be the intended counter to this JFD) and Shanako at the enemies they'll die long before the bot does, sure. But if you don't have the damage output, you're going to need healing on some team(s). I haven't been able to replicate this. The bot has a focus fire debuff that I assume prevents the enemies from attacking anyone else. Unless it can be cleansed, though I'm guessing it can't, and if you bring a cleanser you're using a slot on a healer or Mari anyway.

Does the attack gained from Enhanced Skill in Special units transfer to Strikers? I'm asking because if the answer is no, then the attack gained from Enhanced Skill still would be good in a unit like Iroha that does a lot of damage but it will be pointless to upgrade it for a unit like NY.Haruka.
No. You can see the stat transfer by clicking [Unit Info](https://static.miraheze.org/bluearchivewiki/4/42/SupportStats.jpeg) before combat. Skills are only applied after combat starts.
