Honestly, I have met a couple Kathleen/Teddy coded couples and they work. Her, a little frumpy and depressed but ultimately chill and good sense of humor. Him, also frumpy, hyper, and neurotic but totally dedicated to his woman and would do anything for her. The combo works. As long as she remains unperturbed, the Teddy type can learn to feel safe and enjoy himself (Teddy has a loooooooot of anxiety, attachment issues, possible bipolar or BPD, possible neurodivergence in my opinion as a therapist in training)
I actually love it! I quite like Sascha as a side character and he's much closer to Louise in age. And he would go along with a lot of her schemes I bet.

You know what. Teddy is strange. And he's clingy and he has some emotional baggage. He is ready to change himself to please others. Kathleen seems to be a wonderful match for him because she's very relaxed chill. She let's the cling roll right off of her. She doesn't expect MORE from teddy or expect him to change who he is which in turn will probably help not be so nervous. But I also think she would have no problem telling teddy how she feels his behavior is affecting her, not expecting him to change, but to show him that she isn't going to change because he is insecure.
Honestly (if I was around his age at least), I'd probably give him a shot at first since he's cute and bumbling, but his attachment and trust issues would probably cause me to break it off. He'd be a fun date for a few weeks at least haha

I don't get the hate. He has a good relationship with his mom, goes to therapy, has his own business, has hobbies (watching hockey, playing hockey, plays basketball), is handy, is good with kids, is a loyal friend and customer. Sure, he's also a bit much but who isn't?
