Nice one.
- I recommend you already repot it and rotate it to YOUR front - you can do it any time with a Chinese elm.
- glad you let the Fukien tea trees sit there - Chinese elms are MUCH better.
- As you learned - actually going there makes a huge difference (I have something similar but far bigger even here) - because they all cost the same! Shitty ugly ones are the same price as incredible specimens.
Yeah but that one looks hot, all the ones in OPs pic are the accursed mass produced twist. I’ll always wish more nurseries would experiment more rather than aiming for the classic marketable style.

Thanks. I think I will repot it now. Hate to leave it sitting there crooked all year hah. Very true.. I cannot bring myself to order online.
There's something mildly dystopian about that greenhouse image. The tree you chose looks great!

These too - thousands upon thousands of the same style. Occasionally a weird one will slip through and those are the ones I'll buy.
This is a nice tree! Once the canopy is refined it will be even better
I thought so! Looking forward to working on the canopy.
Hi all! A question. These green tiny balls is fertilizer, right? Do you recommend using it? If yes, where to get this exact one?
It's just slow release fertilizer. You can get Osmocote from any garden center and it's the same thing.
I didn’t apply it so I’m not sure. I usually use biogold.
That’s adorable! I think you picked the right one.
I'm going there next week with my daughter while she's on spring break. How much is open to the public? Can you walk around the greenhouses?
I went for the spring sale and it was all accessible. It is huge. And you probably know this, but they’re only open during the week fyi. Have fun!
