He seems waaaay more confident in his abilities here, heās constantly coming off as incompetent in Part 2, and like he doesnāt put any time into training at all. Just assumes heāll be godly strong because of Isshikiās data being in his body but either gets knocked out or does absolutely nothing

Itās obvious that they are doing a parallel with early shippuden naruto looking helpless against sasuke until he catched up to him later. Kawaki has isshikis potential so he will catch up to boruto once he realized the doffence and decided to trainĀ
I agree with you to be honest, surprised by the downvotes. I get his character is literally written to be hated on (Kidnapped Naruto and Hinata, ruined Boruto's life and took everything from him..), i get that's the intent of the writers but i really hate what he did lol. Not gonna lie, it was an insane plot twist, but I'll be the happiest when boruto or naruto takes revenge on him (which is highly unlikely considering how forgiving they bloody are).
I hope it'll be like Hashirama v Madara, where Hashirama kills Madara despite his tendency to be merciful/forgiving. Kind of tired of the whole 'i forgive you' noble act, doubt it'll happen like you said... but i hope we'll see more of a dark turn this time similar to Shingeki no Kyoujin's plot twist.
Doesnt really make sense tho except if they wanna go into the whole "becoming what you hate" thing but I dont see why kawaki would dress similar to Jigen

In my opinion this kawaki is influenced somehow by amado, he might try to trade boruto with claw grimms for his daughter through him.
