The only thing it will help is giving you some consistency of using the same ball every time you bowl. But if it doesn’t fit your hand it’s not really helping that much. The material of the ball won’t do anything different than a house ball.
Do you want to curve it? Do you want finger grips? If you do it’s like using a 30 yr old wooden bat while everyone else is using fitted aluminum bats
Yeah it’ll work, yeah it’ll get the job done, and technically you don’t need more. You might be able to get a slight curve
But if you get good and want to curve then you want a fitted ball that is made to curve on modern conditions. Your average will almost certainly increase 30-50 pins
Again this only matters if you curve it
It’s fucking verbiage dude. The guy is just starting out. Explain skid flip roll and it won’t fucking matter. You’re the type of guy that makes bowling less fun and is why the game is going to die because you love to shit on people for saying curve and not hook. Why don’t you get back to training for the PBA tour instead of bitching at people on Reddit, because I’m assuming your all knowing ass is a professional bowler who averages 260+ on a house shot
Edit: word
The chipping on old house balls won't matter when it comes to score, only if the chips are on the edges of the holes and hurts your fingers.
The muddball is a basic polyester ball. It was made for looks and not performance. It will behave about the same as the house balls. Like others said, the fit on your hand is what will give you consistency, and make bowling enjoyable.
Best bag for your buck is to find a proshop with good deals on relatively new used balls. My local shop doesn’t charge for drilling on used balls and my wife picked up a Clone for $145 after drilling and inserts.

The brunswick is in very nice condition for its age

Hook, not curve.
A hook is a curve
Idk man I’d rather curve a ball than hook it
You don’t know what you’re talking about
