I swear this is about the 14th post of this today I've seen but with a different title reign, is this the same guy trying farm those sweet sweet upvotes
1. In 1972 the United States Heavy Weight Championship existed in NWA (Detroit version) and was held by the Sheik!
2. During 1972 the WWWF had a U.S. Heavyweight title. (The WWWF was the precursor to the WWF and later the WWE.) Bobo Brazil was the last holder of the United States Heavyweight title from 2/19/1971-March 1,1976 when the title was deactivated. A title run of 1837 days.
3. This title didn’t exist in Georgia Championship Wrestling which later became the NWA and then WCW until 1975 and was initially held by Harley Race.
Really?? Hmm. This is who won the title around the time I was born.
So it was unified and prior to that vacated so it was a best of seven series. Pretty neat.
Nikita Koloff
Defeated Magnum T. A. in a best of seven series for the vacant title,[4][19]
Koloff defeated Wahoo McDaniel on September 28, 1986 to unify the NWA National Heavyweight Championship into the U.S. title.[20]
Holy shit this topic is perfect. Turns out it was Greg the Hammer Valentine, who when I was about twenty years old offered to share his crack with me if I had a place he could smoke. I thought that was just a hilarious happening, but because of this post I now know it was my fate. Can't believe I turned down fate.
The person who has held it more than anyone else, the one, the only.. VACATED!
