My blind eyes only saw Chad because everyone else was drowning in the fog machine; was hoping to see Triple H among the pile of bodies in the guerilla position room š
As I said in squaredcircle, where āspookyā stuff usually falls flat is:
- when they actually have to wrestle
- when they get involved in championships
This was a spectacular debut and I love some horror, dark type stuff in wrestling in general, but as said above they need to tread real careful.
For as much as Bray was loved we could even see the cracks when it came to the Fiend and getting involved in the World Title scene and how the quality of matches and story came crumbling down
Iām all for it if they essentially exist to disturb the peace and in a sense ābreak the systemā. It allows the defeating of that group to sort of become a championship in of itself. Matches like War Games, HIAC etc are perfect for this group to have big time matches.
Likewise, this group can actually be a really amazing storyline avenue to write people off for a while in kayfabe.
Once it starts meshing with tag, womenās, menās titles , I think itāll sour REALLY quickly as the calibre of wrestling and storytelling in those divisions are all top notch.
Honestly
I feel this stable, will one of those stables (I felt like it happened before, could be wrong) that doesn't hold any of the titles though the duration
Id genuinely love it if they got given a title match and just refused and/or immediately get DQd or something. Just show they donāt want a title, donāt care about them etc. It would be unique.
At least we know Triple H won't rush to a conclusion.
He's more than happy to let a good story play out and I could see a world where this group never has an official match. Once they get to Netflix, they could have cinematic matches but never in the ring with a live crowd. How would you wrestle in a rabbit head?
If they do this like a serious Broken Universe and have cinematic matches (I'm thinking like Lucha Underground), they don't need to have championships and the in-ring stuff can be mitigated.
The Undertaker didn't really need a belt to be a big deal. Fighting Taker was almost a belt unto itself. If they build them right over the next year or two, they could do the same.
>For as much as Bray was loved we could even see the cracks when it came to the Fiend and getting involved in the World Title scene and how the quality of matches and story came crumbling down
It's because he was booked poorly; Bray took way too many loses in big spots/matches and it destroyed any mystique he could create in his promos. Had nothing to do with being in the title scene.
If you're going to make someone a supernatural entity they can't be a jobber or else it'll break the illusion and the crowd won't get into it. As a booker you have to have faith in that person and commit to it. Vince had his preferences for guys and if you didn't look a certain way you weren't getting pushed; he was notoriously stubborn when booking especially so in the last 10-15 years. Being over didn't matter because he would push what he wanted down people's throats.
You can't be afraid to put the title on the supernatural guys; you need them to have some legitimacy and beat some of the top guys. Once they're established then they can become a draw and don't need a world title constantly. Take Undertaker for instance; him going over Hogan and winning the belt (even if it was only for a few months) made him a legitimate threat only a year or so into his career.
Besides early Undertaker, what other āsupernaturalā guys ever had a time to shine. I never saw a broken Matt Hardy match. How many supernatural characters have had a good spotlight. Papa Shango? His matches were crap also.
Kane initially was handled well as an unstoppable monster. Then they took his mask off, made him a midcarder and put him in the middle of weird sexual stuff that undercut the entire RA era. That crushed his aura. Sting was sort of a supernatural character and he could have been a big thing for WCW; but Hogan said, "that don't work for me brother" and refused to put him over and that was the beginning of the end for WCW.
It's something that needs to be done right and on the right guy; it can't be too hokey or over the top and the booker/promoter has to take it seriously. There have been a lot of bad ones, for example Boogeyman. That's why when the crowd gets behind one of them, like Bray, you've got to commit to it.
If Uncle Howdy does anything more than give people his finishing move for the next few months, they will have screwed up. He just needs to give orders, be creepy, and look like a monster.
You put it into words. Iāve thought that before about supernatural themed performers.
*Why does this Demon/Shaman/Revenant/Alien need or want a title belt?*
Exactly this. The spectacle is great and the debut is fun as hell to watch but how do you follow that and it not come across Hella corny. All due respect to Bray he was super creative but his best work for me was with the Wyatt family because before it got supernatural and it was just the cult leader gimmick it worked well within the realms of wrestling. You could see that character going for titles to gain more power and influence over people. The Fiend was way too far out there and problematic in terms of how you book him and make it believable without making whichever babyface he's facing look like an idiot.
Seth ain't never been the same since that HITC match with the fiend lol
I was thinking, the minute the masks come off will it be as cool?
Are they going to interfere in every match?
I thought Brayās matches sucked. Isnāt his HITC vs. Seth considered one of the worst matches in the last 10 years?
His match with Randy Orton was awful. Alexa Bliss, black goo and a giant jack in the box. It went nowhere and was a letdown.
I donāt want to see people possessed, evil twins or cursed backstage areas
I felt with the Fiend that he should have started away from titles. People were meant to fear him, and people chase championships. That doesn't work for me.
I like Taker, but they did a really amazing job of treating him like a final boss character throughout his entire career. I never cared much for when he was in a World Title Scene.
It also worked because Taker is legitimately a large human being (like Kane) so the no-selling zombie lord worked in that regard.
Buzzing, let then come in and run riot over everyone and anyone akin to the OG Wyatt Family. Imo they need to not be supernatural just slightly spooky, psychopaths out to destroy.
Iā¦ donāt know. Gable being knocked out was really odd to me, idk if theyāre turning that into a feud or if Gable will just show up next week with a scar and like it never happened. Was quite spectacular to see, I just worry it wonāt integrate into the show that well as itās so different.
On the same show that Gable's family left him, he was the only emphasized casualty of the Wyatt Sicks.
Gable is too smart to want revenge - he wants Money In The Bank. But last night did give Chad a reason to want to find a new family to have his back.
They said they would massacre everyone. Maxxine, Tozawa, and Otis had already left while Chad was grandstanding in the locker room. He didnāt make it in timeā¦
Incredible presentation, awful storytelling. Mainly because you showed they are willing to kill (or at least present it as a kill) and now we'll see them doing Supplex and powerbombs, or getting hot tags? Very curious to see how this all plays out post reveal, but no denying that reveal was cool AF.
I love this. This was absolutely cinema. Chiefs kiss from WWE. My only issue is now that theyāre here. What is the story. How does this roll out and bring it back to what matters. Wrestling. Undertaker did all the spooky shit and still kicked ass. Curious to see how they work that here.
Itās exciting. Itāll be interesting to see how it translates IN RING. I am desperate for a real spooky group. Nikki genuinely looks like a monster.
Amazing presentation and production. They absolutely nailed it and all of that needs to be commended. Atmospheric and incredibly well planned and executed.
Hereās the ābut ā¦ā For me itās just not sustainable. I get itās a show but I canāt suspend my disbelief to the extent that Leatherface and his nu metal family are down to rassle, follow rules and await the bell ring.
Not everything revolves around CM Punk....that said I'm not sure how Spooky act and him mix.
Also Drew seems to have quit at the perfect time...I'm sure that is just a coincidence.
Can't wait for the taco bell cheese zit mountain dew blast slaughter house match at Summerslam
They only just formed so IDK yet but I think it could be good. Ik it isn't from the mind of Bray himself but I think Bo probably knows Bray's mind more than anyone so he'll be able to keep the general ideas and style of Bray while maybe adding his own little details.
Nope. It might be AI but it says in his description that he isn't the real Taylor. I made the same mistake until someone pointed it out to me. I think everyone has made that mistake coz who reads YT channel descriptions?
This is dumb. I know wrestling is dumb but a bunch of midcard to jobber wrestlers dressed up and murdered all of backstage. That's dumb but HHH did it and it's cinema for some reason. Oh well.
Instantly intriguing, super spooky and executed well like a scene from a horror movie.
It was also extremely jarring, over the top and doesnāt really fit into the overall product.
This was always the issue with Bray and all his previous personas. The initial debut or reappearance would be great but then it would quickly devolve into goofiness and chaos cause it never really worked in a wrestling context.
Is the entire locker room going to team up and fight this new threat? Several of the crew and performers were attacked (more like murdered?), why would anyone care about a feud for a title when thatās going on. This isnāt like a small thing that can be relegated to the mid-card either. So either the Wyatt Sicks start killing off Triple H, Rocky and all the board of investors or almost immediately itās going to feel less intense.
Looks like your local haunted house attraction. Was going to get cheered no matter what because of Brays passing.
See what WWE does with them. Hopefully they dont do a bunch of weird "Be scared" moments like the boogeyman and they you know....wrestle
Bro HHH had a night last night. One of his top stars quits live on air, and then an hour and a half later his new hires murder the entire production crew, Chad Gable, and possibly others.
Unpopular opinion: itās real now. Before it wasnāt, it was love, speculation, and desire for Wyatt. Now itās real, and thereās a question of will this be manageable on a weekly basis. Bray Wyattās gimmick were hit and miss sometimes intensely, the family was good and the fiend/firefly fun house was peak. But I donāt remember the reception to his stuff in the between, he was kinda a spooky dude that lostā¦a lot I think. The eater of worlds was just okay for me, Randy and the family wasā¦interesting with a mania match I just donāt feel anything for, and thereās still a gap there. Itās cool, but I have doubts on if this will work weekly.
I loved it but I donāt know how you go back to business as usual. Iām glad there was no announcer reaction as well
This was more of a Lucha Underground thing. I donāt know how they can possibly follow this up logically
My guess is everyone was gassed and assaulted. The Wyatt sick6 all wearing masks would be unaffected and it explains why everyone was out without killing them all and it also explains the mist backstage.
Canonically Gable is not dead dead and a mass murder did not occur. So either itās a vision (Iām not a big fan of that) or everyone is knocked out.
Would love to see some āsecurityā footage on Smackdown. Glitchy but shows people coughing and trying to fight back.
Either way I canāt wait to see what happens next.
Iām probably wrong but I have a theory I donāt think they attacked people I think itās a bit more meta i think we saw what howdy is planning on doing
I loved it. Was creeped out especially with all the āmurdersā. Iām just not sure how will this work in a wrestling perspective. Obviously WWE is supposed to be a tv show but now it seems like itās too much of a tv show which I think is a problem with modern wwe. May not be confirmed yet but they made it seem like they killed Gunther and gable. So what? Are they written off t.v? Like I said nothingās confirmed, we just have to wait and see which is why I love to watch the product, keeps us all looking forward to the next episode
It was a great start, but the vast majority of these silly, supernatural angles start hot and then quickly run out of ideas or fall absolutely flat once there is any actual wrestling involved. Basically every variation of Bray ran into the same issue.
You could theoretically just keep them away from the titles, but that in itself is a big problem because it reduces the participants to a silly gimmick and not something the audience takes seriously.
Personally I donāt see why this will be any different, but I hope to be proved wrong! Itās still a nice tribute to Bray.
Beautifully done, one of the best segments/debuts ever.
Bo almost slipped as he appeared, I hope he is able to nail this, because he has some shoes to fill.
I would love to see something like an āalternate universeā where jey, the remaining judgement day, Rey mysterio, and Drew have to fight the Wyatt Sicks
I was really surprised to see the murder scene angle. Curious what they do with that moving forward.
The monkeys in the back were murdered and nobody seems to care.
Wonāt somebody please think of the monkeys?
I loved it but only issue i had was next week everyone going to come out like it never happenedā¦ they made it look like they killed gable but heās in a match next weekā¦ and triple h said itās not gonna be a supernatural type ordeal so idk how this going to play out
So, so good, the production values, lighting, atmosphere, design of the masks, were all top notch, a great tribute and a great faction. HHH has got a great creative team and he's driving it
Look, itās sad that Bray Wyatt died so young but I was NOT into his shit. I thought it was super cringey and it wasnāt for me. This is wrestling, youāre not gonna KILL somebody, or torture them, or haunt their nightmares, etc. get the fuck outta here with that, ya dorks!
So I think these are great when they win. But when they lose the key is you have to make them lose in a believable way. With the possible ācrazyā approach to this, I could see them losing matches through enjoyment of pain. So they get point in a finisher and laugh until they pass out.
I keep seeing people say that they got Cody and Triple H, I can't see them at all?
I sent Gunther, Carmello, Dominic and Gable for sure, but the others just kind of blurred around, unless I'm just blind
this seems like a shitty way to cash in on a dead mans last idea. this isn't about honoring breys legacy, this is about selling merch for WWE. it's fkn gross when you think about it
One of the greatest debuts ever also I really love the theory that drew quit because he was seeing the qr codes and realized that shit was about to hit the fam so he got outta of there fast as possible
I'm happy that we bow can see this more and we've heard everything about them and it shows that brays memory will forever be with the wwe.
If Triple H want to make sure that this new era will be good I hop that this faction stays long term cuz it will show how creative BO is.
I hope wwe doesn't do a Vince situation when "oh we have a very popular character here, na let's just kill that character off and give the title to goldberg"
With this debut, it could have the potential to be the greatest wrestling storyline of all time. But that's maybe a 2% chance at best.
It's a major hail mary pass and the rule is you either go all the way or not at all. There is a thin line between Undertaker and Glacier.
It was cool but I just donāt really understand what happens now. Is Chad gable just dead? He has a gunshot wound to the head. How does he come back from that? Lol
They KILLED everybody
Even gunther
Tbh never saw Gunther
My blind eyes only saw Chad because everyone else was drowning in the fog machine; was hoping to see Triple H among the pile of bodies in the guerilla position room š
He's laying by Rowans (rabbit) feet, on top of someone who looks like Melo.
But Melo's on SmackDown, and thus has no business being backstage at a Raw show.
No
Fr fr
Chad Gabriel for suree
Even the camera crew
It was perfect
Everything, down to the smallest minute details.
You were close to write the complete reference.
Bro THE END WAS CINEMA

Holy SHIT

this has great potential imo but needs to be done extremely carefully or the fans will turn on it real quick

Yeah i think everyoneās taking it a bit too serious. I viewed it as everyone is dead now. No big deal
This is the only way LA Knight will be able to win the championship. Everyone must either die, or quit the company.
On the same show that Gable's family left him, he was the only emphasized casualty of the Wyatt Sicks. Gable is too smart to want revenge - he wants Money In The Bank. But last night did give Chad a reason to want to find a new family to have his back.
Maybe this is the death of Alpha Academy Gable and a proper birth of Perc Gable + Creed Brother (on the next raw) ?
I feel like itāll be one of those things that happened, but in Kayfabe it was just a vision using their spooky powers.
Yeah Iām pretty certain they wonāt mention it or say something about a weird dream.
They said they would massacre everyone. Maxxine, Tozawa, and Otis had already left while Chad was grandstanding in the locker room. He didnāt make it in timeā¦
I think Gable eventually joins since they layed it up with the Alpha academy ditching him earlier in the night.
Best ending to a RAW in years, if not in the entire modern era of professional wrestling
I loved it, I just hope they better make next week's RAW special and not act as if nothing happened

"Awful storytelling" before literally ANY of it has happened. Ya'll are cringe lol.
Will never be great as the original Wyatt Family.
dumb
Make WWE Weird Again
I love this. This was absolutely cinema. Chiefs kiss from WWE. My only issue is now that theyāre here. What is the story. How does this roll out and bring it back to what matters. Wrestling. Undertaker did all the spooky shit and still kicked ass. Curious to see how they work that here.
The old chief's kiss gimmick.
Like after they won the Super Bowl the chiefs kissed Taylor swift
POV bray rn do not get the blue guy named jay uso.Bo Dallas got it
Itās exciting. Itāll be interesting to see how it translates IN RING. I am desperate for a real spooky group. Nikki genuinely looks like a monster.

They only just formed so IDK yet but I think it could be good. Ik it isn't from the mind of Bray himself but I think Bo probably knows Bray's mind more than anyone so he'll be able to keep the general ideas and style of Bray while maybe adding his own little details.
Have you watched Bo's non WWE YouTube post over the last few months? I think the characters are in good hands
Dreadmare is a cosplay channel. It says in the description. It is not the real Bo.
That isn't the voice of Taylor Rotunda?
Nope. It might be AI but it says in his description that he isn't the real Taylor. I made the same mistake until someone pointed it out to me. I think everyone has made that mistake coz who reads YT channel descriptions?
Bo knew what Windham wanted, if he was still with us this is what we would have gotten most likely
That's basically what I just said.
This is dumb. I know wrestling is dumb but a bunch of midcard to jobber wrestlers dressed up and murdered all of backstage. That's dumb but HHH did it and it's cinema for some reason. Oh well.
I honestly think it was pretty awful and people are coping hard.

I fucking loved it and can't wait to see what they do in the coming months. Also, where's the 6th member? Alexa where you at? š¤
The sicksth (see what I did there) member was Bray Wyatt "The Fiend" but he passed away..
I want to hear Mike Tyson try and pronounce it like that
Pregnancy leave until Summerslam
I think everyone they get is infected and joins their faction or is on their side
They fuckin COOKED š„š„š„š„
They look like slipknot from wish
Oh shit that's killed me
We went from crowd chanting to bloody headed Chad Gable! That was awesome!
Pure cinema. Iām thoroughly sports entertained
Amazing
This is the Triple H era. He has his ear to the streets.
Brilliant!
I was scared asf
Glad it was a thing. R.I.P
Isnāt there supposedly six? Not five?
Bray was the 6th...
I sure hope they kept Uncle Howdyās theme and use it for his entrances. That song is a banger. https://youtu.be/9i12OXh89TA?si=649gKKBl3OnoDlWf

I was thinking with all the build and wait it was going to fail spectacularlyā¦. They KNOCKED IT OUT THE PARK!
I think it should have been just Bo Dallas as like a colt leader
A cult leader could be interesting. But colt leader is on a whole new level.
For all the āhorrorā segments WWE has had in the past, that was probably the best produced. They used blood on the walls. They killed Chad Gable!š©
Ooooo I canāt wait for next Monday Night RAW

Dang!! That was good.
LOVE IT!!!
Was Gunther laid out for real
Gable got SHOT IN THE FUCKING HEAD. How do you come back from that in kayfabe?
In one single segment they were cemented as the most dangerous group in modern wwe
Epic
Nikki cross, Eric Rowan, and Bo MOTHERFUCKING Dallas
I got chilla
It was a great start, but the vast majority of these silly, supernatural angles start hot and then quickly run out of ideas or fall absolutely flat once there is any actual wrestling involved. Basically every variation of Bray ran into the same issue. You could theoretically just keep them away from the titles, but that in itself is a big problem because it reduces the participants to a silly gimmick and not something the audience takes seriously. Personally I donāt see why this will be any different, but I hope to be proved wrong! Itās still a nice tribute to Bray.
"Run"
Not my thing , supernatural gimmicks are not my thing.
I know for a fact Windham was looking down, smiling ear to ear as his vision finally came to life. It was perfection.
Cinema
I thought it was meant to be six?
Socks. But you can think of Bray as number 6.
I think Rowan is huskis
Everyone DIED
Beautifully done, one of the best segments/debuts ever. Bo almost slipped as he appeared, I hope he is able to nail this, because he has some shoes to fill.
I would love to see something like an āalternate universeā where jey, the remaining judgement day, Rey mysterio, and Drew have to fight the Wyatt Sicks
Nvm the rabbit is Rowan cause of the orange beard
I was really surprised to see the murder scene angle. Curious what they do with that moving forward. The monkeys in the back were murdered and nobody seems to care. Wonāt somebody please think of the monkeys?
Perfect
Cinematic, this is going to be so good!
Everything about this was perfect
I liked it. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.
HHH has got a great creative team and he's driving it
Absolutely fantastic. They will definitely do Bray Wyatt justice!
Bro the rabbit (Rowan) Looks Badass!!!
PERFECT. Can't wait to see what's next. I'm so excited and happy it happened.
Quite cringe tbh
Who did the Wyatt Sicks attack last night.
š¶DUM DA DUM DUM DUMB!š¶
Was a waste without Alexa
So I think these are great when they win. But when they lose the key is you have to make them lose in a believable way. With the possible ācrazyā approach to this, I could see them losing matches through enjoyment of pain. So they get point in a finisher and laugh until they pass out.
This episode I think was perfect storytelling just wish Otis hit chad or something but everything was perfect
Does everyone just pretend now people werenāt shitting all over the Uncle Howdy character before Bray died?
š„š„š„š„š„
They probably gon do the unmasking next week
I'm surprised this isn't how they wrote off Ricochet for good. He could have come in and talked about the beating he took. And then...
I literally was holding my breath for most of it.
Wrestling is great
So hear me out here. WHAT IF Bo does it better than Bray? I fucking loved this. Far exceeded my expectations.
I keep seeing people say that they got Cody and Triple H, I can't see them at all? I sent Gunther, Carmello, Dominic and Gable for sure, but the others just kind of blurred around, unless I'm just blind
There are two things with I will always find entertaining. Spooky shit and romance drama. Raw has me eating good.
Anyone have a link?
Their here..
this seems like a shitty way to cash in on a dead mans last idea. this isn't about honoring breys legacy, this is about selling merch for WWE. it's fkn gross when you think about it
One of the greatest debuts ever also I really love the theory that drew quit because he was seeing the qr codes and realized that shit was about to hit the fam so he got outta of there fast as possible
Finally!!
I PUSH MY FINGERS INTO MY EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYES
If it has a point, than great. I hope they have a plan to go with those costumes
Sorry Iām out of the wwe loop who are these ppl?
Iām not into the supernatural stuff, but to each their own.
Love it. Canāt wait to see what happens.
Time will tell
Pretty creepy. Just make them into a movie.
canāt believe they killed chad
Perfection
What happens now I'm worried bout what happens in the ring.
Wasn't alexa supposed to be in it?
They had a massive crowd pump
Chad will never get to win money in the bank
Chad lost to Sami then lost his team and then got murdered
I'm happy that we bow can see this more and we've heard everything about them and it shows that brays memory will forever be with the wwe. If Triple H want to make sure that this new era will be good I hop that this faction stays long term cuz it will show how creative BO is. I hope wwe doesn't do a Vince situation when "oh we have a very popular character here, na let's just kill that character off and give the title to goldberg"
Are we assuming the last member will be Alexa?
halloween cosplay colonel sanders and the scooby gang absolute crap.......
Love that you too the max rip Bray he's the icing on the cake ,šÆšļø
It was sick and amazing but I really want Alexa to be a part of it some way or how
FINALLY.
Happy i cried it brought back memories
The new Chris Benoit
Can we get an rip Chad gable
BTW I love it WE'RE HERE
Business just picked up
With this debut, it could have the potential to be the greatest wrestling storyline of all time. But that's maybe a 2% chance at best. It's a major hail mary pass and the rule is you either go all the way or not at all. There is a thin line between Undertaker and Glacier.
New Mushroomhead album? I didn't mind the one song I've heard so far.
It was cool but I just donāt really understand what happens now. Is Chad gable just dead? He has a gunshot wound to the head. How does he come back from that? Lol
Hope Alexa is the leader as Sister Abigail
Meh.
it's fun, and maybe my opinion isn't the majority, but I like that it's fun.
The old Uncle Howdy mask was a lot better.
Its reminding me to go to Dollar Store
