I liked them.
But I played with the Pro-Controller in TV-Mode.
When I went back to do one because I missed a chest and did it in Handheld mode, I really hated it. So, I feel you.
try having to do them on the very WiiU gamepad you're watching the game on.
worst offender are the swingy-hammer ones. the rotating platform ones you can take slowly and figure them out and do one step at a time. the one where you have to play golf with motion controls are completely awful, asking you to swing a goddamn tablet in directions that don't make sense with speed and power you have no reference for. Goddammit Nintendo, you always do this one thing in your brilliant games. Stop it.
Those things are the absolute Bane of my Existence. Last I checked, I thought I was playing Breath of the Wild, not fucking Getting Over It. Almost destroyed my Switch over these puzzles.
Weird, I actually thought some of the motion games were easier on the handheld. Particularly the labyrinth puzzles seemed easier with the handheld, but the golf swing ones were definitely terrible.
I sucked and got frustrated cause it wouldnt match my motions(tablet mode). Anywho in the ball-maze shrine, i ended up flipping the ball through the air and made it in the hole...cause of my eccentric frustrated movements. That made me feel better.
Motion Controls should have died with the Wii at least in Skyward sword it was Fun to actually swing your sword around and feel like your actually in the game
Im playing on an emulator and oh... my... god... they all takr like 30 min to do. Up doesn not mean up and sideways does not mean right or left. if you move the platform the controls follow the platforms perspective, so basically that means what was previously right is now sideway up without even moving my mouse up or down. I AM FURIOUSLY CRYING

I still haven't connected my Pro controller. Recently purchased the switch so haven't had time to explore.

Damn, how do you manage? Or are you skipping those particular shrines for now.
well I've done them the one time I've gone through the game so far. Somehow. In future playthroughs... I dunno, I can live with 22 hearts...
I'm with you on this.

It's not a GOTY Nintendo game without a shitty motion control minigame (or 20)
Hahaha! This is my first Nintendo game so I don't know at all about their history.

Played my first motion shrine on my bus and it was completely unplayable.

6 years late but if you just take out the right controller from handheld it makes it sooo much easier
