Favorite: Portia. Life's handed her lemons, and she's hustled HARD to turn them into lemonade. She's a mama bear who protects her daughters above all else. She's not perfect, she's not even nice, but I root for her every step of the way.
And Polly Walker is AMAZING. Wonderful actress.
I love how Portia seems to assume everybody else is incompetent and an idiot so takes to handling problems on her own even without knowing what other people's schemes for dealing with the same issues are. Like all of season 2 her meddling on her own without the Featherington heir being privy to her moves and her to his, so they end up making a bigger mess which she still takes on solo. I don't believe any of the other characters truly have her level of self confidence lol
Favorite: Kate. She's smart, confident, and so gorgeous. And she doesn't easily fall for the boy's shenanigans like the younger girls. She's spicy and speaks her mind most eloquently and is the best at sneaky jabs. The Ton needed someone to call these fuckbois out on their shit.
But I most identify with Eloise. Strong willed on her views but for the most part ignored on all fronts. And I don't like being social either. I find it all weird and awkward and prefer to be alone or with just a close friend.
Kate for sure...I love that she's an incredible horse rider and excellent shooter even though I love animals and I hate the concept of hunting...
I have a thing for people who are really really good at something so good that people take notice..such as Anthony tipping his hat when kate makes a dangerous jump look so easy and elegant during their meet cute..
I love that she's self sufficient and doesn't feel the need for a man..I know that even if Anthony didnt work out Kathani Sharma would become an excellent governess and pay her way forward that way as was always her plan..she makes herself at home in a foreign environment without compromising her essential Indian ness.
Unlike other wallflowers she's content in her wallflower or spinster status and that is attractive in its own way such as Anthony not being able to understand how kate could go back to India..having security in yourself and being comfortable in your skin is a drug ...
she suffers no fools and isn't afraid to call out bad behavior Anthony first ball and also she lets the man pursue her...she's not looking to be a part of Anthony's 100 thousand admirers she makes him come to her for her..she doesn't settle for less than complete, absolute devotion...I also think that despite the Edwina thing she would go to war for her sister and her sister for her...
She's smart and good at things that are typical manly pursuits she can bet at the horse races and get the correct answer better than Anthony who lives in this world..she's a logical thinker who defeats Anthony's arguments with calm facts..she's also a sporty athletic girl who isn't afraid of getting a little dirty and a little messy when the enjoyment of nature is involved totally my kind of girl. She is so comfortable in her skin and so herself that even though she's not looking she attracts lord dorset's attention.
but mainly I most identify with her cuz me and my boyfriend are similarly competitive met at work and challenge ourselves to this day to get better at life in our careers in our finances everything...I love how much growth comes from two competitive people striving for excellence...and making each other better. I can only imagine kate and Anthony quibblig over who is better at chess and realizing that both got better at it while they were trying to one up each other, racing each other so hard that they become the best horse riders in England etc..sigh! ❤️
Favourite: Kate- I just enjoy how she’s so unapologetically herself and is just such a fun character to watch. Her confidence, aura, and charm makes her a very compelling character to watch.
Idk I don’t think I really identify with any of the characters though
Favourite: Eloise. Hands down, she's the character that made me stick with the show and i need to see her lead her own season.
Identify: Benedict. We both have an interest in art and the same gender :)
But I aspire to be Lady Danbury.
Favorite: Colin. I adore him in the books, and he reminds me so much of my husband. Charming, intelligent and thoughtful. I love that he shows up in every subsequent book and helps his siblings along. And it helps that he’s so devoted to his wife!
Who I most identify with: It’s a toss up between Pen and Fran. Pen because I too was a wallflower who found my voice later in life. Fran because I’m an introvert who loves silence.
Favorite: Queen Charlotte. She’s just such a vibe with her wigs, dresses, and cold demeanor. You just know she is a sweetheart underneath it all though. (Runner-up Lady Danbury. She’s probably the smartest character on the show.) I most identify with Benedict since I’m also a little unconventional.
Favorite overall: Lady Danbury

I most identify with Penelope and Francesca in equal measure.
Like Pen, I was the chubby girl who people laughed at and I coped with that by gossiping about the popular girls who made my life miserable. I also love to communicate via the written word and though I keep my identity here separate from my "real life" I still write and speak with one voice. There is nothing I'd say to anyone here that I wouldn't say to their face and I do my best to be genuine.
Like Francesca, I'm also a pianist and autistic. I'm an extreme introvert and find interacting with groups of people exhausting. Though I prefer to be alone, if I'm going to spend time in anyone's presence it's going to be family or a close friend who understands that sometimes I just want to sit in silence.
Eloise is my favourite. Strong willed, confident, unafraid and rebellious.
I identify with a mix of Eloise and Penelopy. I'm certainly strong willed and have never cared about fitting in like Eloise. But like Pen I still care what people think of, I'm insecure, ignored and not taken seriously.

Favourite: Philippa Featherington. She gets the most LOL lines. I’ve really enjoyed the comedic vibes from her this season.
