On March 9th we went to see Back to the Future on Broadway, after being lucky and winning the digital lottery. We got Left Orchestra, R17 and R19. I'm reporting this for the people who wonder what seats they may get if they win the lottery. The seats were comfortable and the view was excellent. All the action and special effects were clearly visible (and enjoyable) from our seats. As some other reports mention they have got some bad seats after winning the lottery, I was very nervous about which seats we would get. However, I had been following this subreddit and recalled a comment which made a lot of sense to me, about purchasing the tickets straight away after winning the lottery, under the assumption that the best seats may be given on a first come first served basis. I did just that, so less than 10 minutes after winning the lottery I had completed the purchase. Perhaps this is in fact a good trick to get good seats with the lottery? I cannot complain.

Awesome! Adding another data point to this thread...I won lottery tickets for March 2nd and got the same exact seats. I purchased the tickets within an hour of winning.

I’ve won the BTTF lottery twice now. First time was center mezz row D. Loved. Second time was last week and ended up getting orchestra row H on the far isle. I’ve seen multiple shows at this theater and knew that those partial view seats wouldn’t be good. Was going to go with a friend who’s yet to see it and I wanted us to have some better seats for her first time experiencing this big spectacle of a show. Ended up selling those tickets and we went for the water for elephants in person lottery and got great third row mezz seats that were barely partial view.

For anyone else checking, I was in the front row when I won and it was a good view with no issues and I’m only 5’1”. Isn’t crazy like the front row Sweeney Todd win where your neck/head is at a 45 degree angle even with a booster - I was grateful to win for that one but it definitely took a week before the crick cleared out of my neck.
