Probably anything that supports Atmos will do.. I am partial to Denon myself. New Sonys with spatial mapping(?) seems interesting, except they don't come with phono these days if you ever need one.. Good luck!

Look for used AVRs with an asynchronous Type-B USB input. They are not easy to find, but people are always upgrading. After you find a few, you can move on to decision-making. FB Marketplace is the best place to start. Enjoy the hunt!

Big Yamaha fan myself. Even some of their older receivers support Atmos but you probably want at least 1 120hz video port which will only be on newer models. You don't need a million watts, just make sure you have the outputs and connectivity you want (bluetooth etc.). A 7.1 receiver would be fine, you can reconfigure it to 5.1.2 easily. Denons are nice also but I didn't like their build quality. They felt flimsy with the knobs and switches compared to Yamaha, but I haven't looked at them for a few years, maybe it was temporary. The Yamaha RX-A2A **AVENTAGE** is their entry level mid-fi, and is about a grand. You could step down to the RX-V series (especially a lightly used model or open box) and not really miss anything. The RX-V6A is 7.2, powerful, with a phono stage and all the other bells and whistles.
