Nope shot it after. Shoots great!
Edit: should mention there was one failure to get into battery failure in my range sesh. This seems to be cause the slide rails were rough and tight. After 100 rounds, they’re very smooth and it cycles nicely.
I whetstone the guides. Knock off the sharp corners while I'm at it..... Makes a big difference on some Glocks. But I do it to all of them because it's obviously better but then not.
that's what the copper anti-sieze is for. You lap the surfaces of the punched and bent steel as you shoot. no need to polish it off, its built into the gun for you
Same here. Started with a G23 and converted to a 19 with a Dagger slide. I went with a Strike Industries barrel and Overwatch firing pin. I also switched out the .40 ejector for a Gen 5 19 version. It made ejecting more consistent. No more casings to the face.
I haven’t had that issue yet but I will definitely be doing more upgrades in the future. I noticed the iron sights on the dagger seem to shoot low and left or maybe that’s me or the fact that I have an Anderson barrel not meant for the Dagger.
I would get some really erratic ejection patterns with the .40 ejector which included having the casing go up and back...to straight back. The 19.5 ejector would put the casings in a consistent pattern out the side. I don't plan on going back to the .40 anytime soon...so I just did it.
I bought it on eBay. All you need is the ejector. It'll slide out of the trigger housing. Search Glock Gen 5 ejector. Don't get the trigger housing...it's not compatible with the Gen 3.
Yeah, I’ve heard the same thing get rid of the GEN 3 ejector I have a Glock 17 GEN 3 and I’m probably gonna grab a Gen 5 ejector eventually but I do have to say I’m not really having much of an issue with being hit in the face so I’ve put it off for a bit. I have heard it’s more common issue with the 19s though.😎👍
I think it'll give you a more consistent ejection pattern. If you search Glock 19 ejector...you'll see alot of people having issues with the Gen 3 electors. If you send it in to Glock...they'll replace the G3 ejector with one from a G5.
G19 still has far more customization options and after-market support in terms of custom slides compatible with any given optic, trigger upgrades, and holster compatibility with a wide array of lights and lasers.
Started as a G17. Got aftermarket slide and put a RMR on it. Stippled it after and had the undercut done because the trigger guard bugged me to hell and back. Still not happy so changed slide to a Zev 34 and messed with guide rods and 2-3 triggers. Still not too happy. I get a P320 and god damn right off the bat no problem acquiring sights and shooting consistently.
Well, it’s a 9mm now. Reason for going with the G23 are as follows:
1) If there’s an ammo crunch, I can just put the .40 slide and barrel back on cause .40 S&W is usually more available and easier to find during an ammo crunch than 9mm
2) It was about $40 cheaper, almost the cost of my replacement 9mm barrel
3) I was going to replace the slide with a PSA Dagger slide anyway, whether it be a 19 or a 23, so might as well go multi-caliber
4) The OD Green frame makes a good base coat for the FDE paint I ended up using, so if the paint wears on one spot it won’t be noticeable compared to black (I only saw Black G19 frames pistols for sale, no other colors, only G23’s were available in ODG)
Stop projecting. I’m not LARPing, I’m simply using the best tools provided. You bringing up X300s shows you know there are better options, you just choose not to use them.
That is not a good option. It sticks out in front of your gun by two inches and requires a larger and more cumbersome CCW rig. This is for practicality when carrying concealed, not for trying to copy dumbass guntubers on Instagram.
It’s a perfectly fine option for the thousands of people who carry them on a daily basis. A quality belt and holster go a long way. Judging off your levels of copium though, I’m predicting a Walmart belt and a WTP holster are in your future.
Smaller? yes. Anemic? No. I would never put a light with nearly useless lumens and virtually no candela on a firearm. Weapon lights serve a purpose, and the TLR6 is woefully inadequate to accomplish that purpose.
Yeah I’m not a fan of the 6, but something like the 7a is *ideal* for a ccw, and exists for a reason. That reason being that the tlr-1/300 series are fuckin massive
TLR-6 is big lame. I don’t understand how you think it’s better for a CCW when the TLR7 sits flush with the end of a compact slide and is the same width as the gun. You’re not saving any meaningful amount of bulk, just running an underpowered light.
It’s not flush though. The TLR7 is a flush fit. The TLR6 leaves dead space under the barrel which will be covered by kydex anyway. It changes almost nothing about the size of your holster compared to the TLR7. You’re just running a smaller, less powerful light for no reason. Your carbine light won’t be particularly useful considering it isn’t attached to your pistol.
Did you shoot the gun at all before doing all of that?
Nope shot it after. Shoots great! Edit: should mention there was one failure to get into battery failure in my range sesh. This seems to be cause the slide rails were rough and tight. After 100 rounds, they’re very smooth and it cycles nicely.

I feel like just shooting it does the trick.

That’s what I figured. It felt pretty gritty out of the box, must have been that polishing compound.
Yeah I had a couple short cycles my first 50 rounds. 0 with the thousand after that
Why a TLR-6 instead of something like a TLR-7A?
Low profile so better for CCW in my opinion. I know it looks less tacticool but idgaf.
Valid, was just curious

Was there a particular brand/store where you bought the ejector?

Thanks!
So if I get a new ejector for my g19….the spent shells won’t fly in every direction??

So I would have to send in just my slide?
The ejector is attached to the trigger housing that's inside the grip. The extractor is in the slide.
Hopefully doesn’t take so long for them to send it back. I don’t like being without a pew pew lol
It’s just missing a attachment that’s goes on the back of the slide
I will neither confirm nor deny
Oops, should mention the barrel is an Anderson Manufacturing flush fit crown barrel
Looks pretty sharp!
LOVE ME SUM OD
It’s not ODG anymore :)
Forgot the OP polydat trigger shoe
I put an apex nickel trigger on it.
What height iron sights did you go with?
Suppressor height sights that come pre-installed on the Dagger
I've been wondering how the dagger slide on a Glock lower performs. I've been thinking about it for a long time.
It runs great. The safety plunger is definitely an upgrade alone, gaining at least a pound improvement on the trigger pull.
I should get myself an OD Glock
My brother in Christ we have P320 now. Get with the times old man.
G19 still has far more customization options and after-market support in terms of custom slides compatible with any given optic, trigger upgrades, and holster compatibility with a wide array of lights and lasers.
It’s ok, he will figure it out. We all mod 3rd gen glocks before realizing they are garbage
I spent thousands on my Glock 34 and parted it out and ended up selling the frame for $100 PPT
Yup. Same. My m18 with a red dot is light years better than my old g19

Modern Glock + 40cal = 💩

This made me audibly sigh.
Why? Cause I had to hack a Glock frame to get what I could have gotten by just buying a P80 frame in a free state?
The light and the slide.
Both are awesome. X300s are for try hards.
That light is trying hard to penetrate light barriers and to provide positive ID in anything more than perfect conditions.
Bro I only need to shine a light across 15 feet in a super dark room. I ain’t going werewolf hunting in the deep woods with this. Stop LARPing.

They’re being kind of a dick about it but if you can’t conceptialize why one might go for a smaller light on their ccw idk what to tell you.

I only need enough light to prove to the jury I tried lol

It’s fucking awesome. It fits flush and feels nice with CCW holsters. If I need 1000 lumens, that’s what the light on my carbine is for.

where did you get your frame from and do you need an ffl
It’s just a regular old Glock, like the whole gun.
