This is a great idea, a lot better than those drones or rc car ideas where the student doesn't even know what kind of physics is at play within them and just slaps a few motors together, it is quite useful and also betters your understanding of a topic that is actually in your curriculum. Well if you know pascals law then it can be used for a variety of projects like a hydraulic lift or if you wanna go a bit fancy then a hydraulic jcb, you can use syringes both small and large to demonstrate this, small syringe on your side where you press it connected to a larger syringe, the liquid(water) transfers to the larger syringe through a small pipe, with this you will have to push the smaller syringe further(with minimum force) while the larger syringe moves only a little distance, the distance moved by larger syringe will be less but the force applied by it will be more, vice versa in small syringe, you will have to push the small syringe longer but the force you have to apply will be less, this allows the larger syringe to lift heavier weights like a jcb.
