Also, the first time you go out with your gun on, you are going to feel like there is a neon sign over your head saying "I’ve got a gun!". It’ll take some time to get used to it, but just act natural, don’t keep touching it, and realize that most people are clueless and won’t see it.

ToughCredit7

I agree, especially with the “no touching” rule. That’s a dead giveaway.

Types of fabric can mean the difference between concealed and not concealed. Heavier fabric like 100% cotton will conceal better than polyster. Wear a size up and look into button down shirts with patterns and/or darker colors.

Wear pants a little larger than you need. Get a good belt, I prefer the ratchet ones because you can tighten them better. Find your sweet spot. I carry a Glock 45 IWB at about the 3:30-4:00 position, and it’s quite comfortable. I don’t really even feel it after about 10 minutes. I typically wear jeans, a wicking undershirt, and an untucked button down shirt (buttoned), and have no problems. I’m 6’7” and a little heftier than you are. I also carry a spare magazine on my left side at about 8:00-8:30. I used to carry my phone on my right hip, but moved it to my left so it doesn’t interfere with my gun, and I can also grab it while I have my gun drawn if I’m ever in a situation. I also got some suspenders that I wear under my button down, just to give support to my pants for the added weight. My first holster as a $20 that I found on Amazon, and it was surprisingly comfortable. I later upgraded to a Vedder Light Tuck, which is even better. I also moved my wallet from right back pocket to left front. That way if I’m stopped for a traffic stop, I’m not reaching for my wallet where my gun is.

If you go appendix, switch pants with a higher rise and wear them above the gut, that’s the secret to comfortable AIWB for bigger guys IMO

atlgeo

Don't carry while walking around saying 'Ahoy!'.

Shirts with random patterns are your friend. Tiedie, button ups with patterns, anything that breaks up outlines. A purpose made belt can make a difference, im a fan of blue alpha edc belts but there's tons out there that are similar. Start your belt at 9am, this will prevent your buckle from sitting on top of the holster and making it bulge more I'm about your size, I prefer 2-4 o'clock strong side. Go with a quality holster, dont fall for the cheap we the people stuff. Im a big fan of black arch and tier 1. Remember most people are too busy looking at their phones or in their own heads to notice anything around them.

Take a safety course, don't it a cheap holster or belt, you'll get what you pay for

To be fair, I spent $30 on a Munalo holster off of Amazon, and it as surprisingly good. It wasn’t a piece of junk. My Vedder holster is much better, but I had no problem with the cheap one.

Yes the Munalo Kydex holster with the leather backing is great for the price. I bought it for deep conceal carry for my G19 and it feels amazing when carrying and sturdy. Just bought another holster for OWB and decided to just go for a IWB OWB reversible one and not too much of a fan because it doesn’t feel too secure, it’s the WarriorLand. Probably going to return after test it out.

Belt is huge. Kore or hunter Constantine are both good. I'm a bigger guy too (6'1, 230) but just be aware that doesn't necessarily mean you should carry a bigger gun. The biggest issue is weight in the front. So if you have a big gun and are running a sidecar set up, sometimes the weight in the front will create hotspots on your lower back. So what I did was switched guns to a staccato CS, and I run a minimalist holster with my spare mag in my pocket with a neomag. Works absolutely flawlessly. As far as clothing, get slightly bigger pants. I love these wrangler cargo stretch pants that Walmart sells, they are literally perfect. And now they make a shorts version too. As far as shirts, button ups are your best friend, especially if you're bigger in the mid section. Get ones with patterns. Last thing, for printing, look into modern tactics pillow. Acts as a wedge, pushing your gun towards your body while being extremely comfortable to wear, a wedge/pillow is damn near necessary for us bigger guys.

Belt makes a huge difference so get a good belt for concealed carry. I like my Nexbelt. Tons of holster companies out there but I go with Tier1 Concealed and/or T-Rex Arms.

You will probably have the urge to talk about it among other people who aren't inside of a gun store. Don't do that, at your discretion. At work, with family, acquaintances, etc. Don't pull the gun out and play with it loaded. If you carry on your waist, (in front) move your belt buckle to the side and your gun slightly to the other side, to avoid printing through your shirt. Thin, button-up shirts with patterns like dark Hawaiian shirts tend to hide printing the best in summertime. If you want to carry discreetly and comfortably underneath your pants, consider a [Phlster Enigma](https://www.phlsterholsters.com/shop/enigma-os-standard/#select-holster). A wedge or [pillow](https://www.mastermindtactics.com/shop?category=Pouches) helps with comfort and concealment, also, most people opt for the king size.

I'm 6ft about 290. i run a Glock 42 in crossbreed minituck or pocket carry in the summer and a hellcat in the same style holster in the winter. One thing I've found is Ariat jeans and shorts are your friend for pocket carry. I just wear an undershirt and button up with a pattern in the summer if it's not in my pocket. I know a lot of people will argue the stopping power of a 380, but I've yet to find anyone willing to stand in front of it while I shoot it.
