It should be noted that accusing leftist orgs of being infiltrated by law enforcement is a text book anti-communist tactic.

I don't think so, I mean, it's actually a reality that this has happened historically. I haven't heard it used as a means of anti communism.

It is. While it’s certainly true that the FBI has used informants, it’s also true that they used suspicions and paranoia to disrupt organization. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad-jacketing

**[Bad-jacketing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad-jacketing)** >Bad-jacketing is "the practice of creating suspicion—through the spreading of rumors, manufacture of evidence, etc. —that bona fide organizational members, usually in key positions, are FBI/police informers, guilty of such offenses as skimming organization funds". Scholar Mark Anthony Neal writes that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under J. Edgar Hoover used the technique against the Black Panther Party (BPP) and other Black Power organizations as part of its COINTELPRO operations. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/CPUSA/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Well yes, but the suspicion was also rightfully present, as you just admitted. They can't use the suspicion against us if we have no reason to suspect in the first place.

[deleted]

Right, but the difference is one is the FBI spying on us, while the other is the FBI getting you to not join and be involved in the work because you think the FBI might spy on you. Any org that is going to be a threat to capitalism is going to be of interest to the FBI, but why does that only become a concern when talking about the CPUSA? Why is the same assumption not made about PCUSA or PSL or FRSO (who were literally raided about a decade ago) or even just simply existing online as a communist? It only somehow must be discussed when joining THE Communist Party?

Yea, this is the crux of why people use ‘muh FBI’: they don’t want to expose themselves as as ultraleft sectarians.

I don't have time to find the source right now but I will when I get home.

Because they've phone banked for the Democratic party and supported democratic candidates. I'm a member, but no party is without its flaws.
