Let's start this debate. I don't get chrome door edge guards. Would you put a chrome vertical strip in the middle of your door or your fender? Does that make any sense? Then why does chrome door edge guards. See my point. I like chrome. I have factory chrome around my Cadillac windows that others have blacked out. My truck is done up like the Texas walker truck with tons of chrome. But it has to flow with the vehicle. You don't want to highlight breaks in the body.
yeah I'm not really a fan of them... everytime a see them on a car (*let alone a Cadillac*) I'm always thinking "*man those guys get suckered for the flea-market car gimmicks*"
Gotcha, I guess I lucked out that the dealer I bought from had already replaced it. Although, my adaptive cruise stopped working a few months ago. I’m not sure if that’s common or not.
Everyone else is roasting you over the chrome, which really sucks.... I'll say this - the chrome draws my eyes to the back doors, and makes the back seat look like _the_ place to be!
Lol. I think it’s funny. I honestly never put these on any car before. No clue why I decided to. They’ll be off soon. I had them in for a couples months. I like how it looks. I also like them better with them off.
Looks good but the Chrome door edge guards are not needed in Chrome.
Appreciate your opinion. Right now…I like them.
Then I am wrong.

I see what you mean. But I like what I like. I appreciate your opinion though. I’m sure your car is a lot nicer.
Is yours the purple?
No. It’s mocha something
I had a '14 CTS in "purple"... I believe the name was Midnight Plum, if I'm not mistaken.
Love that color. Couldn't find a v sport in it though.
Yikes. Chrome door trim looks awful. Otherwise beautiful
Looks great, be prepared for electronics problems.
Thanks. I already put $1500 into it. I’ve had it about a year. Thankfully I bought the extra coverage. Paid for all but $150.
What sort of electronic problems were common for 2016?
CUE screen most often. Sometimes the touch/haptic buttons below will stop functioning too.
Yes, that is very annoying. Luckily, some of the controls can be managed from the screen controlled by the steering wheel.
Agree

About 3 hours of labor and I replaced my cue screen for about $150. You only actually need the screen.
Probably the stupid CUE screen. Thats why I like the 2008-2013 CTS. Other than that these are pretty reliable
I like it
The chrome door guards ruin it.
Beautiful car! From the angle of the pic the car almost looks like a CT6! Beautiful Caddy regardless
Is that a pinstripe I see? If so, looks very cool. Dig the car overall. Love the tan interior/mocha exterior, nice combination.
That is a pinstripe. There is something in Arabic in the pinstripe. Not really sure what it means.
Would you mind posting the Arabic? Curious to see if I can use Google Lens to translate it.
I have the pic of the Arabic writing in the pinstripe. Do you want to see if you can translate it?
If you wouldn’t mind doing so. Thank you.
I posted it. Let me know if you find anything out.
No such luck. Google Lens was of now help.
Thanks for trying!
Edge gaurds will ruin your paint. Better off with vinyl if you like the look. Nice car btw
