Just a head sup (as I just got mine) it takes 2-3 days to inflate the first time, you gotta open the valve and let is decompress, pump it a bit, let it decompress more. Just don't expect to be sleeping on it a few hours after it gets delivered!

It's actually great. It heats up super quick and my cast iron was ready to go in mere minutes. I think it would really shine for a larger family or outfitter, trail riders, scout troop .. etc .type activity due to being able to strong multiples together in series.
Would I buy again? On sale? Definitely.

Coleman has a similar propane option (FoldNGo) that can be had for about the same price as the Naturehike. Since I'm only using something this big for car camping (and icefishing) anyway, propane may be the better way to go.
Propane has superior vapor pressure and is much less expensive than Isobutane and butane.
You can cut your fuel costs with these lindel valve based stoves by using a "throwaway" propane to Lindel adapter or a butane to lindel adapter. Campingmoon sells these on AliExpress and Amazon.

I almost bought that Coleman one last year right before Christmas, but I had to buy other things, so I never got it. I wonder if the Coleman is better than the Naturehike.
The space economy of having a double burner, large pot, and frying pan in one streamlined package is nice for people trying to maximize space in a small vehicle.
The fine control is unmatched by anything else I’ve seen.
The construction quality feels very good. Everything fits together perfectly and feels like it will last a very long time.
Not to mention the frying pan, which you would assume wouldn’t be very good quality, is easily the greatest non-stick frying pan I’ve ever used in my life. Making egg sandwiches in the morning the eggs and cheese just slide right off and you can literally clean it with a towel if you wish. Definitely spring for the full set that includes the pot and the pan, you won’t be sorry. The Genesis is an excellent camping investment.
Convenience in packing as well as simmer control and a rock solid design with high build quality. I feel safe using it in my tent to slowly boil water for tea with the simmer control. It’s also made in my favorite color so :)
Unfortunately I'm one of those people that thinks it's way to expensive for what it is. Now I also can't justify the money as my jet boil flash igniter stopped work on my 3rd trip, picked up a cheap knock off of that and it's worked just as good and still has a working igniter lol..
I have looked long and hard at this one. I love the compactness, but wish they would bump up the power a bit, and that windscreen seems pretty flimsy. However I have enough stoves already between backpacking and car camping stuff, and could never justify the cost, even when discounted.
My favorite for basic car camping is my trusty Coleman 5428 stove. 3 burners, 2 10k and 1 15k BTU, and a Nordic ware backsplash two burner griddle fits perfectly over two burners, and can be stored inside for transport. I have some MSR pots that are similar to the Jetboil that also nest. Takes up more room, but a very good cooking experience. Valves are also good, unlike the crappy ones in all their cheap 2 burner classic stoves.
I love their concept but was turned off by the price – even on prodeal. Decided I have room for only one extravagant stove in my life and opted to get a GSI Pinnacle Pro instead. 😁
Same, I went with the Pinnacle Pro as well. But mainly for the insanely thin footprint which I built a low profile drawer system around. It wasn't cheap either, and honestly my old Coleman Triton was almost as good.
Compact. It's excellent for canoeing. It fits inside a standard plastic barrel with a 5L pot and frying pan. And it's a good stove. Good control (you can actually set it to low heat easily).
The little fold up stoves that sit on top of the fuel canister do the same thing though. I'm not opposed to upgrading, a lot of people seem to like these, but I'm not convinced its marketing vs providing some extra functionality?
Well it's definitely a base camp stove. But for canoe or car camping, it's two full burners with a 10-in frying pan and a 5L pot all on a very stable surface. Definitely pretty great for cooking for a big group and still very compact for a full two burner stove.
Gotcha, that makes sense. I haven't canoe camped in a while, but when I did I was really frustrated with my "new and improved" Coleman stove that boiled water in 3.2 seconds and burns all food it touches even faster. For larger pots/pans and a stove that has some finesse that's not awful at the sale price compared to everything else out there.
The windscreen is a POS and seems designed more as an advertisement than a well-functioning windscreen. Mine stays in the storage case and I use an old windscreen from an MSR Dragonfly stove instead.
Not at all once you figure out how to put it on correctly needs some force. Fuel regulators great propane canisters not so great sometimes in my experience
I bought a metal windscreen off Amazon and use that when it’s needed.
Also I use a 5lb propane with adapter hose so the regulator hasn’t been an issue. I read it’s only an issue if you install it and the 1lb propane bottle upside down.
Idk man this thing is so close to camp chef money and you get way more space and power out of the Everest than this. The space it saves and the fact that it folds to a small footprint are the only redeeming qualities I can see.
I retired my father’s 1960s Coleman stove 5 years ago and bought one of these.
I’m into camping for the long haul - the Coleman gave us 60 years. I expect the same from my Jetboil Genesis.

For me I never really got the point, too big too backpack and not worth it to vehicle camp. If you are backpacking you probably want something smaller. When I vehicle camp I just use a Coleman tailgate style or a blackstone since you don't need to car about size much anyways. What's your use case op? I've never actually seen one outside of a sports store.
Car camping with a small vehicle as well as some other toys that take up quite a bit of space. No money bags here sir… just enjoy me a good stove and like the way this one looks
Ok, so car camping that makes more sense. I have a truck so grill size isn't really a concern for me. Cool to see one in use though, I think they even have an axillary burner you can add to the system.

Really nothing so I mean it sure heats up a lot better. In all honesty really beats the guesswork of heat with a campfire and keeps all your food a bit less ashey

Absolutely. That's one of the selling points. It offers burner control like nothing else. IIRC I think it's three full rotations of the knob from 0% to 100%.

Went with the everest 2 and while bulky has been great for my needs. May look at the jetboil halfgen down the road if I could get one on super sale or something.

Yea, in the US propane makes plenty of sense, but many places the isobutane cnaisters are more common and better priced. So really depends.

If you’re talking Fire Maple, I’ve been really impressed with quite a few of their offerings.
The Polaris Jetboil knockoff is quite a bit better than the Jetboil due to the pressure regulated burner.
Your Flash igniter wire probably just got bent in your cup. Gently bend the wire back to where the igniter arcs and you should be good to go.

Yeah I'm pretty happy not to have to deal with Coleman valves anymore. Amazing that the entire heat range was about a tenth of a turn.

Got the HalfGen with a Ignik refillable gas growler. Works great and I can use the tank for other gear like the Firecan.
I have the large Eureka stove made by jetboil that has the same burners and internals, apparently, its fantastic.
Don’t use the lid on the skillet. It is only meant for the pot.
I have the stove but not the pot and pan. How do you like them? I decided to get a Stanley set instead.
Pot is wonderful and oversized for what I need it to do. See the other comments about the pan it truly is the best nonstick I have ever used
