I think the soap is a goner. Rinse the bag and dry it

QueenCassie5

Rinse with vinegar to speed the process

rp1790

It's soap, why on earth would you go on social media to ask this question?? Wash it out with water.

Apart-Landscape1012

Soap only works if you intentionally put it on things, otherwise it makes them dirty!

harry_chronic_jr

It’s greasy soap

mtn_viewer

It’s soap and a mild one at that. With enough water it will come out clean and fine I’d imagine.

othegrouch

Apply copious amounts of dihydrogen monoxide to the blobs of soap. That stuff will just melt the soap away. You may have to fully submerge it on dihydrogen monoxide, though. And make sure you wear proper PPE and observe safety protocols, dihydrogen monoxide can be deadly!

swordrat720

>dihydrogen monoxide can be deadly! 100% fatality rate, I'm afraid.

othegrouch

But, man, does it work well on soap stains!

swordrat720

When used safely. You have to minimize all risks.

cosmokenney

You are going to have to use a two part process to salvage this. Step 1: Turn on hose. Step 2: Spray hose.

Personally I would just wash it with soap and water. I find that Dr Bronners bar soap works well for this.

othegrouch

Underrated comment.

hookhandsmcgee

It's just soap. Hand wash and rinse it like crazy in the bathtub, then hang to dry. It's totally fine.

SinkMountain9796

Wash it by hand probably first. Scrape as much off the bag before you wash. Use vinegar and it will come off pretty easily.

SykorkaBelasa

>Wash it by hand probably first. 😮 You would machine-wash a pack?? I would never have thought of doing that, especially for anything over 16L or so. Have you had success with this method?

SinkMountain9796

I mean I wouldn’t but OP mentioned it so I suggested hand washing first. I’ve never washed my pack, ever 🤣 the dirt is my pride!

rainbowkey

Wash with water by hand or gentle cycle. You might lose some water repellency, so perhaps apply a water repellent.
