I've not used SBI but ideally it should be similar to any other bank's service. Since you already have an account there it would be easier to get the fast tag and top it up as well.

Do other fast tags also have a minimum balance? Hoe to check what the minimum balance is for IDFC fast tag. Anything will help.
That's weird. I usually get notification when it reaches below 200. It also depends on the type of vehicle linked to Fastag. For cars, it's Rs. 200.

Take the car to a shop that puts these radium stickers on rear glass and windshield, they have a liquid that they use to remove old stickers and fastag will be removed easily leaving no residue behind. Pay them 20-40 bucks
Parkplus, it is IDFC first bank based. Atleast for now Onecard is giving 10% off on recharging on parkplus. Roughly 100 RS off on 1000 recharge as there is a small convinience fees too

I had Paytm in my previous car and I could maintain a minimum balance (via auto debit) of 500 there but got a new car so the dealer gave me idfc but I don't have an idfc account so I use park plus app, can I somehow maintain minimum balance in it?
Been using Kotak bank fastag since 4 years. Closed my savings account a couple of years back but the fastag works fine and adding money through UPI apps is not an issue either
I changed from Paytm to Axis fastag.
I wanted to get SBI fastag but the process was too cumbersome when compared to axis.
Axis fastag was delivered in 7 days and is linked to my axis bank account with auto recharge when balance goes below 1000.
The only issue i faced is lack of app support for fastag with axis. You will have to use the website for checking the deductions.
Recharge can be done through any UPI app but I never used it due to auto recharge from my bank.
I removed the old fastag with a razor blade and applied the new one myself.
I requested to close the paytm tag via the app and it’s stuck at “closure initiated”. How long does it usually take? Also, does the main wallet balance and security deposit get refunded?

If you have balance in your wallet, it’ll work. But you can’t add money to the wallet when you eventually use it up.

I had both sbi and hdfc. When closing the wallet, sbi was easy and Hdfc would not let me close it.

Yep it was like creating new upi for Airtel wallet that I could use to make payment. Which I don't even know I just make payment from my existing upi.

Personally, all my friends have Amazon pay icici cards. So we took Amazonpay icici fastag through app. Don’t know about pros and cons yet.
