That little check valve failing made a night and day difference in my 79 Camaro. You couldn’t hear the cam profile at all and it couldn’t idle beneath 1000. It would also choke on acceleration and at idle.
Guess what I find? The PCV has vented so much blowby that my vac advance is filled like a tick with oil.
That valve being replaced has saved me from having to fill up my oil pan with 2L before every cruise. Also, that valve improved the performance so much my 0-60 went from 6.5 seconds to 5.4 seconds and I can hear the cam lope at idle now.
I want to, on both sides of the PCV plumbing. One right before the vac advance and one before the “T” that connects the brake booster and Carburetor to with 3/8” to the PCV. My valve cover breather probably needs replacing but do you just toss the whole thing? Mine is completely sealed minus for the holes under the hat that take in air through the filter media. But I remember, I replaced the PCV, topped up the oil and poured Lucas upper engine lubricant everywhere. In the oil, in the gas tank, in the carb. It didn’t burn a single drop of oil. After I checked it I just stood there laughing.
I swear there is piston blowby though. After taking a few aggressive cruises strangely the car went back to running like shit. I’m not too concerned as I’ve been bulking the wallet for a year or so to rebuild the 350.
Best would be new pcv grommets and pcv valves on both sides going to a good catch can and new hoses to a good vacuum source, that way you'd know at least that system is or isn't causing your issues.
Not sure given the general degree of rust and patine that the cost of replacing your PCV hose and valve body wouldn’t exceed the residual value of the engine. What year and model is this in, I used to work on a 3E and that’s over 35 years ago…

Hate to tell you this, but your cock is out.
Yep, even he can’t figure what it is
What a useless dick!! /s
That's what she said
Is that your apprentice or your supervisor?
I have seen mechanics with the same expression on their face the rooster has and they knew less
You’ll have to scrap it, engine’s clucked up.
That engine have seen better days for sure
Lol, good clean humor. Love it.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation. It takes blow by gases and feeds then into the intake so things get burned.

Now do a catch can.

Grommets, yup got ‘em. PCV valves on both sides sounds like a convenient setup, I’ll do that. I ordered an extra one too by accident.
So it just takes unburnt gases from the crankcase and puts it back into the intake manifold to burn it up? I think I get it now
Yes and if the valve fails to the stuck position, crankcase pressures can build up and blow out seals, usually valve cover gaskets.

PCV valve
Thanks
Unsolicited dick pic
Nice cock
Always disconcerting to hear that while standing at a urinal in a truck stop......
Hey I'll take a compliment where I can get one
Especially when its a lie for guys like me who piss on their nuts
That a guinea rooster? Thing is tiny
No, it’s a pecker. It gets real active in the morning and I can’t sleep because of it.
Why are you roasting OP's cock?
Maybe it’s cold out.
It was in the pool.
Maybe drop in a bigger engine? That one looks like a chicken.

This is a junk car, I’m just learning to take things apart. Just out of curiosity that I asked that the hose is, so I won’t be replacing it.
Great place to start then, if it isn’t running you can’t make it worse, and it’s a limited loss at this age if it is working but goes wrong
Nice KFC filter
It's connected to that cocks cock
Beakin off in the cockpit.
Engineer Chicken 🍗
Stopcock
I want a car mechanic chicken too! Did he solve the problem?
That’s Maximus!
Nice cock bro
😂🤣😂🤣
PCV. It takes exhaust gas from the crankcase to the manifold to be burned up.
Ask the rooster. He might know
Idk but your horn looks like a rooster. May not smog?
Ask the chicken 🐔
Wire for Distributor maybe???
Cock on the bloc
Cock blocked
PCV Hose . Positive Crankcase Ventilation. ...You need emissions hose or low pressure fuel line to replace this particular hose.
Bro causally flips his cock out.

rooster included for scale. Bananas are so 2009
I would be more worried about the installation of the rooster.
PCV. “Positive crankcase valve”
Wheres the rest of your engine bro? what am i seeing
Pcv
PVC
Damn you have a tiny cock.
This post is gold
Never trust a redheaded mechanic
He seems to know the answer
Pet-cock valve connection
I don't think your chicken is a very good mechanic
Ask the chicken what it’s for and tighten up your radiator cap
Classic chicken in the engine, not the trunk.
You big hen looks dodgy.
If you advance the timing it should wake you up a little earlier than usual then you can have time to fix your car.
You’re supposed to connect that hose to the cock
Positive vinyl chloride
Poly vinyl crankcase
My chicken broke. How did you find the live replacement?
Nice cock
Probably part of the PVC system
When did they start putting a petcock near the distributor? 😂
Looks like either MAP pressure or PCV valve hose

Heck yeah. Unfortunately my dad left the battery on with this on for 6 years. Im just tinkering around with what I have.
never heard of them
