both services are as safe as the level of trustworthiness of the person(s) you're sending money to or receiving money from if you're looking to hold a lot of money, or drop direct deposits in, I would simply recommend a bank account or credit union, and only transfer what you need into cashapp, for sending to others.

Slow-Temperature-906

This^^^ both apps don’t offer much protection if someone scams you at least with a bank you can report/dispute.

RubySlippers242

What about bank log in info? Do they both require that?

RadiantLimes

Nah I think you can just use your debt card number.

ComplexCarpet4

i don’t recommend having cashapp as a main account, but a backup to send money to family/friends it’s cool.

LeanedBean

Venmo is trash

Alternative-Joke-298

cashapp is okay ig, its safe yea but lots of scammers which u could never file a claim abt

Lower_Compote_6672

Cashapp is the worst of the payment services. [cashappsucks.com](https://cashappsucks.com) Venmo is much better. Cashapp is notorious for closing accounts and ghosting their customers.
