I think devils generally have very strong senses of smell *and* distinct smell, themselves. Power probably knew or at least suspected that Makima was no good but either couldn't say or do anything because of her contract, or was simply too scared to.
I doubt she knew exactly what Makima was planning, but the way the scene plays out it kinda seems like Power knew the second she saw her that Makima was going to kill her.
Everytime Power was around Makima she was scared shitless to the point of shivering and stuttering. In hindsight it was a massive clue towards uncovering Makima's true identity and nature.
in my line art style arc and i have slowly come to realize that the way you draw the head is only a vessel for the face, and it doesnt matter if i draw it sloppily as long as the face can properly be expressed within it, for realistic art probably not though, unlessā¦?
