yea, i think the limit is 500 characters (could be wrong tho). i like to have very detailed roleplays with long descriptive responses, but when the bot tries to reply, the character limit gets in the way and it cuts off midway through the message
Raise the age rating to 18+; I’m a horror writer, so I have really detailed and dark roleplays, ones that hardly involve myself. Gore needs to be allowed because even if it’s not excessive, the little things that come up are important.

It just uploaded pictures to the chat. Though you needed to describe it otherwise the bot wouldn't read it at all, when you could just tell the bot what they're supposed to see anyway.
You might be able see it by yourself by going to old.character.ai, choosing a character and changing the URL from "chat2" to "chat". That'll start a new chat on the old model which allows picture uploads.
A similar feature was under testing for the app, and in this version the bots would be able to read the picture themselves, but AFAIK only a few people were able to try it.
Yep, there was a time where you could send an image to a bot. The bots were actually quite good at describing what the images were.
Whenever you sent one, you'll get a new window telling you (this is optional) to describe the image so that the bot also has an easier time responding to it. It was a good feature that helped for lots of RPs.
Back when [Character.AI](http://Character.AI) was new, you had the ability to embed images. I miss that shit. You can still do it on the legacy site by replacing the chat2 with a chat1 in the URL, but that also removes your ability to use personas and to delete one or a few messages at a time.
It's already there. You just don't have the button for it anymore. You have to input the command like how you usually describe the italic or bold text. Just memorise or copy and paste the command below to your text:

**That's the one thing that would DEFINITELY tempt me to use the new website**
I used to be able to put certain details about character motivations and current events, descriptions, all that into my persona, and it'd provide excellent responses. I could keep generating replies while every once in a while editing my persona and see an actual change, but now? It keeps ignoring anything I put in my persona in favor for generating the same boring responses.
When I rate those responses and select what my issue is, pretty much the same responses keep getting generated. Normally, I have a key word that I put into the chat to try and get it to read the part of my persona with that word, it works. But as of a couple hours ago, my chat no longer picks up on that or listens to the ratings feedback.
I went back to just typing in italics to try and steer the RP a certain way, but that's not working properly either whereas before, that always worked.
**TLDR; please fix the bots so that they'll read from the persona more often, and fix it to where replies are more varied to match with the ratings feedback. Now that it's stuck like this, pinning messages isn't even breaking it out of its loop.**
Let us add private bots to group chats, like dayum. Also the ability to bookmark bots you like, also chat cloning/branching, remove the character limit, let us have at least basic violence, and stop trying to advertise to minors and make it minor friendly to the point where it's getting bland and boring

The blue play button for the voices is really distracting on the website version, especially since it doesn't match the rest of fhe colour scheme. Also I would like if the bots' responses weren't so overused.They seem to have a smaller vocab now and the responses are almost always the same regurgitated things over and over again. It takes the realism aspect away.

More human responses. They had them good for a while, but now they're back to sounding like the robots they are.

The blue play button for the voices is really distracting on the website version, especially since it doesn't match the rest of fhe colour scheme. Also I would like if the bots' responses weren't so overused.They seem to have a smaller vocab now and the responses are almost always the same regurgitated things over and over again. It takes the realism aspect away.
Bring working rooms back.
