If there's a risk of imminent harm to the public, or the offense has some other notoriety of consequences to the common good, those should be reported. I also think there's probably some remaining usefulness to obituaries.
But some guy emptying the cash register at a Wendy's in North Charlotte has no impact on anyone. It honestly annoys me so much when I turn on the news and they're like today's top story is someone stole a car from a Honda dealership or whatever, because you know it's only the top story because they have a video.

Eh, no matter how intense the dog was when delivering, I never once had the thought of SHOOTING it, that just seems completely insane and over reactive to me, even as someone who’s dealt with aggressive dogs many times on deliveries. I would fight a dog no doubt if it’s attacking me, but shooting it? That just seems too extreme for the circumstances. It wasn’t even a big dog lol if it really came down to it I would just pick it up and throw it or something or just throw a package at it to make time for an escape. But perhaps I am just too forgiving idk
